Sun Tsu wrote that "All warfare begins with deception". Like a winning poker player, no general destined for success will show his hand. It is almost as if American gun people think that they are the only ones that are armed, and that all the bad guys will be equipped with switchblades or chains, like a 1950s movie. Today everyone carries guns, regardless of the place, or the rules. And if a ba...

Love ❤️ the Shirt!! TRUMP 2024! 👍🙏🇺🇸❤️
Thanks for your instructions. Like the bows.
Great video!! I am a CZ Fanboy as well, and just saw the Honest Outlaw video (who I do respect). I was floored by his results. Now that I see what you are showing on this video it makes perfect sense. Hopefully H.O. will do a follow up video on his findings, with your recommendations in place.
So just grind down the one screw
What sight do you have on it?
I don't understand why there aren't shorter options for stocks on these shotguns. I installed a youth stock on my Mossberg pump gun and took it to several shotgun classes. It was perfect for that kind of shooting, and I'm 6'. Sorry, I'm not paying over $1K for a shotgun. My autoloader is a Mossberg 930. I shortened the stock right to the spring tube in the shop. I'm left handed and want the tang safety. I don't want to fool with with trigger guard safeties, even if they are reversible. I put a red dot and a light on it, slicked it up in my shop, done. Works great. Saved myself about $700.
I watched the video you’re referencing right before I found this. Have never been a Glock guy and I like DA/SA. So I was looking at this particular CZ. Makes perfect sense. Good video sir
Get to the point
Interesting thing I see in American culture at large. Gen Z seems to be embracing many things _retro._ I read reports that in the 'gun community' Gen Z is looking at DA/SAs over Glocks.
@@GSAZYNSKI sometimes the old ways are best.
@suareztactics the gun makers love striker-fired, polymer-framed handguns. A Glock is cheaper to make, and more profitable, than a metal-framed DA/SA like the P229 or CZ75. Marketing has boosted the Glocks and P320s, and so have LE & MIL contracts because people like to immitate what they perceive as _elite_ users.
🙌🏻👌🏻
Thank you for taking the time to present this information in such a concise manner .
Amazing video! Let me add one thing, hands and fingers, index finger, dimensions are crucial in DA trigger pull.... If you can't reach the trigger properly, for a correct index placement, it is a huge issue. SAO or Strike, then helps a lot.
Glad to see I already found the same JM holster and DCC monoblock combo, which works incredibly in the 12:30-1:00 position. I will have to check out the mag carrier you recommend. It looks very secure. I have been using the Mag Holder horizontal carrier at 11:30-12:00 position successfully. I question it's stability if I get in a scuffle.
Still waiting on the tac vest/fanny pack lessons. 💩 🤣
Great concise tutorial. Thanks for the confirmation that the different trigger types call for different finger placement. Your insight and experience is pure gold
I enjoyed your video. One correction; The original James Bond pistol, as described in Ian Fleming's early novels, was a .25 caliber Beretta and in Dr. No, he was given the PPK .32. Thank you.
👍🏾
This well be for helpful for me when i get to the range with my own for P09f Nocturne.
Excellent tutorial I think Gabe is the best based instructor on youtube.
As the late, great, James Yeager said. “All Guns Should Be Glocks, All Guns Should Be Glock 19’s, and All Guns Should Be 9mm” Now every commonly makes a G19. Hammered fired guns are great, fun, awesome to shoot, and very nostalgic. However, they are antiques as far as the CCW world goes. Carry pistols should be void of levers, buttons, switches, etc. 😎👍🇺🇸
😂😂😂 no.
@@coreymolI sgree with you both... diversity 😉
Are you mentally challenged?
Ridiculous statement. It’s always the shooter and his/her ability that makes the difference. Any gun will do if you will do.
First off, you use what works for you. If your P365 works well for you, great. I own striker-fire pistols, but long before Gabe emphasized DA/SA pistols, I carried, and still do, classic SIGs, and occasionally the CZ75 compact. Suarez has went into detail the advantages of the DASA pistol over other types.
CZ SP-07 POLYMER is a great shooting pistol , ( like My ) Metal twin the 42 OZ. CZ 75 SP-01 a great accurate shooting pistol . Mr. Massod AYOOB instructor calls it the power crease behind the index pad which has been taught by DA/SA instructor's for years, still apply's to this day. My new Beretta has a very smooth -7 lbs. Factory DA , you gotta try the New 92 GTS MODEL , Very smooth pull , start from 1/4 cock safe carry knoch for a shorter double action pull, it has an amazing 18+1 capacity in the standard length grip like the CZ , I'd say these are two are the finest DA/SA on the market today.
Well-presented! Smooth, continuous, deliberate roll! I started Nineteen-Elevening at age 21, but soon, at age 22, had to learn DA revolver skills at the Houston PD academy, in 1983/1984, then had to use only DA revolving pistols for my firat year of sworn service. I learned to like revolvers well enough that I kept using them, on duty, well beyond that first year. (Being too broke to afford to buy, function-test, and feed decent auto-loaders, for a while, was part of that equation.) Over time, I carried several handgun trigger systems in harm’s way; DA revolver, HK P7, single-action auto, DA/SA auto, Glock, and DAK, in order of when I first started carrying them regularly, either on or off the clock. The one system I have continuously used, for at least some purposes, since adoption, for at least some purposes, is DA revolver. 40+ years of long-stroke DA training, live and dry, with most handguns, had to end, last year, due to arthritis moving into the second knuckle of both of my index fingers, but I can still use compact revolvers DA, for now, because the base knuckle shares some of the load. I am glad to still have Glocks and some wonderful SA handguns, with “orthopedic/old man’s” triggers. (To be clear, I am not “blaming” DA trigger-pulling for my arthritis. There are several factors in the equation.)
I just got my first DA/SA pistol so this video came just in time.
I am carrying a P226 Legion RXP with low-profile sights and a Sig Romeo X Pro on it right now. I love a lot of other guns, including striker guns and especially the 1911. But I have never had an issue with the DA guns like some have. And the P226 is just an old friend to me. When I pick it up, it just feels right. And, like you, I sometimes carry without a holster. So the DA trigger and hammer-fired action keeps things safe. One thing though, in keeping with your point about not readjusting your finger for the follow-up shots, any DA pistol I’ve ever had with a short-reach trigger gets it replaced with one that has a longer reach. Otherwise, the tip of my finger hits the other side of the frame.
I have the 229 legion I changed out the curved trigger to a flat one and it fits my finger better for dasa.
This video is why I bought a CZ Nocturne. With the right screws in the optic it runs flawless.
Oh your going to make the HK fans mad with that last comment. I have owned a few HK pistols in 9mm and 45. The HK45 was the most inaccurate 45 I have ever shot. The P30 I wanted to like but couldn't get over the crappy trigger. One polymer pistol I do miss and might buy another one is the Px4 storm in 45. That thing was a laser. I don't see CZ making another 45 or even 10mm. They discontinued the CZ97 which was the only 45 they made that wasn't a 1911. I did own one but like a idiot I sold it cause the reliability was questionable.
@@joyroc885 doubt it...working on an HK P30 project right now.
Grew up shooting Da/SA. Early 2000's I switch to striker fire for a few years and went back to DA/SA. Always hear people say I don't like da/sa cause the trigger isn't consistence. Always said after the first pull it is and its even better than a striker fire. lol Anyways I saw the outlaw video you referred to. I hope he dose a follow up. I hear CZ has gone through some management change and lot of the old timers there had left. Maybe that has played part into this.
Thanks for your nice info video and yes, I have two of CZ 9 mm and yes, one of them does have a threaded barrel and yes, I am considering a 10 mm from CZ instead of Taurus, wich I like very much too, since they seem to be top notch as far as quality and prices go and no, I'm not going to get anything from 'S & W' no matter how many other shooters may think very positive of them.
Im so glad he's asking CZ for a P09 subcompact.
The j frame is my primary carry for several reasons ie point squeeze and bang every time, shoot from the pocket if necessary. Yes conceal ability is the best part of a j frame. If you look at the stats when self defense is needed and at what distance and how many rounds etc it makes sense. I have had circumstances ( certain locations) where I will carry my full size semi auto but it’s rare.
@@rustyhook6723 point squeeze and bang? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I often just carry a snub nose smith in my back pocket when working around the ranch. It's easy insurance when you are away from the house working and don't want to strap up with the entire rig.
I've carried my model 29 on several long backpacks and bowhunting trips in grizzly country. I load it with 310 gr. hard cast. You used to be able to get solids, but they are banned. My wife dropped me off near Cody a couple of years back and I walked back to my home in Jackson Hole across the Thorofare. Personally I believe the .44 has better ballistic potential than the 10mm, though most guides I know carry the 10.
I've called in several elk to the bow here in Wyoming. I've always made sure never to look them in the eye as they came in.
I've done a bunch of shotgun training, and taken several courses that included "hostage taker" shots. I understand knowing your pattern. My question is about the wad. I've noticed that you cannot predict where that wad is going to go. Personally, I'm not gonna be taking a "hostage shot". The shotgun is for home defense. Truth told I'm most likely to be using it at night in the horse pasture against bears.
Yeah I would replace any part that screw was pressing on. It could warp a part still causing problems. Plus peace of mind
Press checks are the mark of a rank amateur. All operators should know what condition their firearm is in. Press checks are definitely a training scar.
Matches do help with manipulation and accuracy. Mostly, they are just fun and a chance to get out with friends. I spend a lot more time at the range just working on things by myself.
Well, I guess I'm glad I ended up in the middle of nowhere in the mountains of Wyoming.
@@robgrey6183 not every body prefers that life 100% of the time.
As usual, Gabe is right on the money! Never let 'em see you coming and always gain the advantage of surprise. I'm a 20 year trainer and interesting how open I was with my business and the entire firearms stuff and I had a truck with advertisement all over it and I never had a problem with anyone trying to break into it. I think the big thing is I worked in public safety (not a cop), but I looked like a cop, good or bad. We also had a burglary spree in our neighborhood where the perps hit 7 homes in two hours two streets over and my pickup was parked in the driveway and they didn't even come close to the house, AND in May of 2016 @ 0430, I went through an attempted robbery at a self--serve gas station where I was dressed professionally and looked like a cop open carrying a .45 with a spare mag and a surefire flashlight in a speed holster that made it look like a baton, and when the crooks saw that (I was 20 feet away when they acted), it was game over. That was when I was working and I would open carry on my way to work. I DON'T do anything like that anymore and surprise is the name of the game and if I can get close and put the muzzle right into his ear, I win! Keep up the great work Gabe, we need the return of American Masculinity!
My Dad was NYPD back in the sixties. He came home every day and took off his Chief's Special, and took his sap out of his jacket pocket, put them on the dresser. When he was patrol he had a nice hardwood nightstick. I still have it. He was a cop when cops in NYC were big Irishmen. Times have changed.
Great video , now some people are having failures without an optic on it , so do they need a shorter screw on the right thats holding the factory plate on?
If that is the case they should polish the feed ramp. One of the items I mentioned in my Patreon page.
This gun is safe and reliable if set up correctly. Honestly, it is the best gun I've seen come out in a long long time.
excellent video! lots of great points made. hope that CZ watches this and takes your points to heart to improve both current and future products. i also hope that the other content creators follow your advice (that is, when finding issues, contact the mfger 1st to give them a chance to respond and only report the results AFTER they have a chance to fix the issues or demonstrate that they don't care by blowing you off). i do know of other content creators that do this. and for me, those that do (including your channel) i have a much higher regard to your info than the videos from the others that seem to thrive on tearing apart the mfgers.
Outstanding info! Thanks for getting the facts out. I have a 07 that has thousands of RDs through it and has had very few if any malfunctions, it's just been a great gun. I sent the slide out years ago for it to be milled. I have looked @ the new PO-9 for a while and was somewhat disappointed with what people were saying. You certainly cleared many things up. Thank you.
Still carry my 1994 P229, I carried on the job. I have been shooting the P series classics since 1983; starting with a P220 with 4 mags on my duty belt. I have added an RMR after having the slide machined for my old eyes. Great guns. An P09 does piqué my interest. Semper Fi!
I just went from I’m buying one, to holy cow not buying back awesome I’m buying one
No big deal but if I'm buying a new gun I prefer to wait for gen.2 - for CZ to fix it.
As the late, great, James Yeager said. If your pistol has a hammer, it is an antique. And I have taken numerous trading classes at Tactical Response in Tennessee. He was right. All though I do own many, many, hammer fired pistols. None of them will ever be in my carry rotation. Back in the day, maybe. In 2025 with all the great options and great capacity options available, never happen. They are nostalgic and great to own and shoot, not to carry.
If you’ve ever had major abdominal surgery you’ll know one scenario where a fanny pack is a great option for conceal carry.
@@brianhurst2740 yup...that is one I didnt think of...
