  • Lamb Curry Instant Pot with a good dose of Indian spices, onion, tomato & ginger garlic paste will be your next favorite thing. You can make it easily in an Instant Pot or pressure cooker with lamb on the bones or boneless lamb pieces. This Indian Lamb Curry beats the flavors of the curry houses & tastes best with rice, Naan or Chapathi.

I really love your methodologies, and how you created your own stock. This was my favorite recipe that I've seen thus far.

I like this recipe very much and I'm gonna make it in my new Instant Pot, but I have a question. The amount of oil in the pan is not 3/4 cup as it is written in the recipe, more like 2 tablespoons at the most, I think. Did I miss something in process of making the lamb curry?

Hey Steranjis thank you so much for stopping by on the Video and I am so glad that you loved the recipe :). It's a 6 quart Instant Pot and the amount of oil I added is 1/3 cup, 2 tbsp is very less oil in today's recipe, frying the masalas would be tough in just 2 tbsp oil. However, I added a little more oil while frying the spices which I forgot to shoot and hence, in the recipe I mentioned 3/4 cup oil in total which will result in an oily Lamb curry. But, you can always control the amount of oil and also the spice level according to your preference :) Do let me know if you have any other questions regarding the recipe Steranjis. Also, I updated the recipe in the NOTES section of the blog post. Thanks. - Meghna.

Onion paste. I just blitzed 2 onions in the food processor.
I used a lamb leg which was just under a kilo. I think that 15 or 16 minutes pressure cooking would have been enough.
I used a bit over 1/2 cup of canola oil but I did get rid of most of the oil the lamb stock. Maybe I'll add some GHee later.
You mention mustard oil but don't mention the initial step of heating it to smoking and then letting it cool
Tomatoes I used 1/2 can of good quality Italian tomatoes

Please tell us the amounts as you incorporate them. I personally don't like to watch videos that are incomplete and have to click on the recipe. You will lose a lot of subscribers like myself.

Hello Isabella your thoughts are well noted :) , presently our youtube mini videos is just to demonstrate the process while the actual blog post contains all the tips, tricks, ingredient subs etc. with step by step photos. The recipe link given in the description box above will just take you to the blog post. It's tough to accommodate all the tips, tricks & ingredient subs in a single short/mini recipe video. You can also watch the same video on the blog post so you don't have to be all over the place :) Hope you give this recipe a try and enjoy making it. Hope you visit us again - Meghna xoxo
