Hi my dear friend Bumbi. Hope you and your family are well. I have made this today for our regular (Bumbi night special). I served it with your wonderful Peas Pulao, as you suggested with this recipe. Have made the peas pulao many times. It is perfect and certainly restaurant standard, same as all your recipes. Let me tell you this curry was superb. The lamb was meltingly tender and sooooo full of flavour. As were the potatoes. The aromas in the house were simply amazing. Even our neighbours comment that our house smells like a restaurant. (All thanks to you Bumbi). This is now recipe number (21) that I have made from your fantastic channel. I also served it with a mixed salad and paratha. Have a lovely weekend. Stay safe xxx
We are doing well my friend. Thanks. You are such a sweet and wonderful person Emily. You not only try my recipes but you leave such wonderful and inspiring feedback. Your comments bring a smile on my face and knowing that you liked the recipe gives me such a confidence. This dish is my personal favorite too. Thanks a lot Emily for trying it out and your kind words. Take good care of your health.

Hi Bumbi. Lovely recipe. Could you pls upload more instant pot recipes? That’ll be really helpful. I’d just bought a large quantity of bone in mutton and have been researching different recipes online and so your curry will be perfect for it. Thanks a lot. Have a good day.
Hi Bumbi All your curries are well explained 🙏 and easy to follow and so tasty. Can you pls make more curries in the Instant Pot. Keep up the good recipes 🙏
Very interesting that you don’t use any tomatoes. I am from South Africa and always use tomatoes, Bumbi. Just love your recipes. Definitely going to try this lamb curry.
Just finished eating this curry. Made exactly as the recipe instructed. The result? Excellent! The family enjoyed it and were very complimentary. Thank you so much. Will try several of the other recipes on your site. Peace to you and your family.

I used over 2 pounds of goat and this morning I only have a little potato and curry left! Everyone loved it so much they devoured it and left no leftovers to eat today 😂 I served it with some salad, roti and your sweet yellow turmeric pulao. @@CurriesWithBumbi This was AMAZING! It was so flavorful and the lamb was perfect. So tender. I think I messed up when adding the yogurt because I had an instant pot malfunction. @@CurriesWithBumbi 😊 the pot began to burn , so I had to remove the food and clean the bottom. I think I may have put it in too fast. But I put the food back in the pot and started for 45 mins and it came out great!
Hope you switched off your IP while adding yogurt? I always switch it off and then add the yogurt a little at a time and mix vigorously. After all the yogurt is added then switch on saute button on low and stir until the yogurt starts bubbling.
Hello, Bumbi! I have unpacked my cooking gear and I'm looking for a new recipe to try. Do you think this recipe could work with goat/mutton as well? Would you recommend doing anything differently? Thank you!
@SidestepTheQuestion this recipe is also so easy. Now that you need to devote more of your time and energy to put everything back to place, easy recipes will be best for you. Take care.
Hi I absolutely love your recipes. The onion curry paste recipe is a lifesaver. I make a big batch and freeze it and use it through the week. I tried this mutton recipe in my instant pot. Everything was perfect till it was time to pressure cook. I also like the meat soft but I still set the time to 30 mins not 45. Luckily I checked after only 25 mins to find that the gravy had dried and burnt and got stuck to the bottom of the pot. Luckily the meat was not too burnt so I could salvage it. I will make a separate gravy for it using my frozen curry paste cubes. What can I do to prevent this from happening? I put 2 cups of water as well but still it dried out and burnt.
I wonder why that happened. 2 cups of water is enough. Next time may be add another cup more of water. You can always dry off the gravy later. Hope you added hot water. Thanks for all your support
@@CurriesWithBumbi so I managed to save the meat which did not get burnt luckily and I made the gravy again using your onion masala paste recipe ( I had made the paste earlier and frozen) it ended up working out really well and my husband couldn’t tell the difference and polished it off! I find that the potatoes disintegrate if cooked for this long, so I don't add them at the beginning of pressure cooking. I cook the curry for less time to start with, depressurise, add the potatoes (and some large chunks of onion because I like some not to dissolve into the sauce), and bring it back to pressure cooking for the last 15 min or so. Thanks for the video!
Yes you can definitely add the potatoes later . Actually the potatoes give a thickness to the gravy as well but you can definitely add it later. That’s the joy of cooking, we can keep the recipe just as a guide and do our own experimenting. Thanks a lot for watching and sending your feedback. Really appreciate it. Stay tuned 🙏🏽
