Definitely. It’s refreshing when we just laugh as opposed to being offended. People are too sensitive these days. Either that or just looking for attention.
I agree but don’t forgot many times it’s not taken as a joke and meant to be offensive and hurt somebody else. I hope this stays up forever because I love it and agree with you but then I’ve also had a black puppies thrown at me because my mum is black. If you walked down the street and did that to someone on the street I doubt it would be funny
@@TheYBGOON I agree with you too, but I wouldn't even class that disgusting act of racism, a joke. Sorry you & your mother had to experience that, not cool at all.. 😕
I'm addicted to watching these American reaction videos and I've seen quite a few different ones now, but you sir, and King Boomer are definitely my two favourites! 👍🇬🇧🇺🇲😁 Keep up the good work!
The combination of the skit plus your laughing makes this the funniest thing I've ever watched. I've watched it's heaps of times and it still cracks me up
@@AfterWorkReactions Yes! I posted some 'nan' suggestions a while back.. If you remember, Micky Flanagan saying how when he was young, his nan took him to the pub to laugh at men in silly wigs.... It was as if he was describing "nan". Even his accent sounded like her!
It's sad that this is no longer permissible. This comedy is intended to make white people look dumb. She's pretending to speak several languages simply by making the sounds of their accents, she's incredibly dumb and that's where the comedy lies. If you're any of those nationalities laugh at her, don't take offence.
cathrine tate is brilliant, all her sketches with david tennet are gold. and her nan and lauren characters are some of the best comedy ive seen skits ive seen in a long time
I love how Josh can see the comedy in this video and can laugh about it... Respect to you Josh you see it for what it was meant to be... I understand why some would call it controversial also...
I love this.sketch because, as you say it’s challenging you to laugh knowing what’s coming next, the best part is some of the actors can barely contain themselves, it’s brilliant!
I remember watching that episode. Every other sketch was that woman volunteering to stand in for missing colleagues and fucking things up. The translator scene was the climax.
I thought it would be something like that because the show relied on several recurring characters such as Lauren and Nan. Even on its own the sketch is hilarious.
This one is infamous :) My other favourite Catherine Tate sketches are the couple who go to pubs/restaurants and then complain about the food "the dirty..bastards". Classic.
Glad you like it. I haven't seen anyone else suggest it, but Armstrong and Miller WW2 pilots and Mitchell and Web, Brain surgery, Are we the baddies, and Conspiricy theories are some of the best sketches ever made.
Sooooo funny. I cried with laughter when it was on TV, and I just cried again. Excellent. People with an open sense of humor who aren't afraid to laugh. Kudos!
When I first watched this sketch - as it was been shown on her t.v. programme - I recall laughing until I started slipping down, off of the settee onto the floor. For me personally; it still remains the funniest sketch that I have ever watched, from any t.v. programme. I was already crying with laughter by the time she got to the Chinese lady, but by the time she got to the African fella, I was already on the floor.
Thank you for responding how I did when I first watched it. I'm so glad you took it for what it was (PARODY)as the BBC would make someone apologize now and try and dictate how we should feel about certain things. Your laugh is infectious. I watched it 4 or 5 times in a row when I first saw it. There used to be a show on the TV called Mind Your Language and it was 5 or 6 different foreign nationals trying to learn English. Very funny, I can't recommend a clip because I was too young.
Catherine Tate is great. She does so many characters, some loveable rogues, some you love to hate. Hey that rhymes! Yeah, her Nan is hilarious. And her schoolgirl character has become iconic. My fave, I have to say, is the lay-by burger van owner. It’s so innocent and lovely, subtle humour, amazingly nuanced.
I've just found your channel. In this climate of forced polarisation and hate mongering, its refreshing to just hear somebody laugh. It's a breath of fresh air, and I almost thought we'd lost that ability to laugh at ourselves and others. Is there still hope?

I would certainly say that phrase Did is not my sandwich so love it.
Maybe that was take 100 for the last one.

Best reaction to this video I've ever seen. I laughed more because of Josh than the actual video.

Fun Fact: Apparently the filming of this sketch took a very long time because the Chinese lady kept laughing when it was her turn
