As a deep autumn myself I assumed all shades of red would suit us and I couldn't understand why bright red never suited me. But seeing this video I can totally see a difference. And I now know the shade of red makes a huge difference. Thank you for this.

For me a deep warm brick red is the right mix of bold and soft and deep and still looks really red. I paid that with gold jewelry with muted elements. I know I’m some sort of autumn
As an autumn I would say my worst red is probably the watermelon red or cool raspberry red. A bit on the light side, cool and not muted. It turns me gray

you may not have a filter on but your camera is adjusting to the light and color so you can't trust this video at all because the camera is changing how you look in comparison to the overall brightness. your camera will automatically make you look brighter relative to dark surroundings and make you look darker in comparison to light surroundings. that is what you are actually seeing in this video.

The tomato red is too bright for you and makes you look yellowish. The darker red is 👍🏼.

It is! Big difference is if your undertone is more cool or warm! Color analysis can help you determine it and you can have it as a lifelong tool🎨

If the bright reds suit you then u are dark winter if not then you are dark autumn
Story of my life
Those sessions are very close. I can wear more of deep winter than deep autumn, but definitely a lot of both. My colour analysis (remotely)said no gold jewelry for deep winter, but actually a deep autumn article said matte gold, and certain darker metallics and I can wear that.
I just ended buying cloth swatches on Amazon and doing the wrap again and confirming deep winter.
Are you sure you’re not a deep winter? Tomato red is typically considered a warm red and that maroon looks cool to me. You might want to do some comparisons of blue vs Orange. You might be deep winter… which shares some colors with deep autumn. You come across to me as neutral slightly cool. Thanks for sharing the difference is very clear! ❤
Actually there are some colors from deep winter palette that are also flattering for people that matched deep autumn vibes like juniper green. But this only applies on the darkest colors of deep winter palette.

Color analysis really is the catch
I have a blouse in the same colour as the second darker red, and when I wear it I honestly feel so good, and always get compliments at work! (And yes dark autumn obv).
Same goes for nail colours. I have a whole array of reds but I will go for the darker, slightly burgundy reds over the bright ones as they just fit better.

Deep autumn has neutral warm skin so yes there’s cool undertones… doesn’t mean she’s a dark winter

Hi. Deep autumn color palette doesn't have pink, sorry to say. The nearest would be coral red, rusty red/ orange or a kind of mauve. Google the deep autumn palette by Dream Wardrobe. Pastel pinks = no-no. It will wash you out, sorry.

@@aleeza3001 nope, sorry! If you wear barbie pink, you'll also have to wear pink/ cool makeup, which will clash with your warm undertone. For autumns, it's best to wear warm red, orangey/ coral, reddish brown or rust lipsticks. Google the Dark Autumn palette. I use the ones from Dream Wardrobe. (Disclaimer : you can wear any color you want but it may look "off" on you, or you'll have to over- compensate with makeup.)

I’m a dark autumn because I’m dark and warm, but I’m also muted so that’s why a bright red wouldn’t work, but something like burgundy does.
Dark autumn is not muted. That would be soft autumn.

Bright cool toned reds look stunning on me but the maroon or reds with more brown makes me look sick . Happens with nail paint as I wear only reds.

Fashion photographer here, that's just the phone camera adjusting itself to accommodate the colours. If a focal point is too light it will darken the surroundings in proportion, if it's too light it will do the opposite. This isn't because of her colour season

Autumn will have more of a muted warm red, the brighter red here is for a winter, which is high intensity (bright) and cool undertone so not ideal for autumns!:)
@@buruann right, but I got like 3 shades of red I could wear but the brightest one i got that's supposed to be for autumn according to my color book seems to bright on me.

Question, can you be a dark autumn and still be able to pull off bright red? Because I always typed myself as dark autumn but I can pull of bright reds and bright colors ???
There’s always a few exceptions and you are one of them. I am Deep Autumn too, and when i try my favorite color which is Barbie Pink, it’s still look fantastic on me (though is a bit overwhelming me, lol). Everyone have their own strengths and weaknesses, but still can be in the same group. So if you find yourself looked good in the color that’s not in your main palette, embrace them!!! You will shine so bright just the way you are. I hope this can help you.

I did the test online and found out I am a dark autumn. At first I didn't believe it, until I did an outfit fitting in the mall.
There was 2 Batik Shirts:
1. Light Golden Purple
2. Crimson Red like yours
When I put the Crimson Red in front of me, my skin looks very radiant and it was like I applied a filter to myself. And I felt like I didn't have to wear make up whatsoever.
