@@jakewalsh7220 He surely was sir, Fabulous jockey and very underrated n modest too. I had the 3rd E.W ' Remainder Man from Reg Hollinsheads stable local to me. This Derby had a high class field but the best ever performance for me was 1972 'how Lester got Roberto up to pip Rheingold was Momentous. Present Derby winners are light years behind the 60s n 70s. Poor Greville Starkey faced vile abusive for his ride on Dancing Brave in the Derby he rode a brilliant race here.

I had Willie The Shoe backed that day will never forget it, looked homed and hosed was sick to be caught like that.
