SMALL CORRECTION I say here Tai-yan forcibly turned the one goon gay, however it seems I misinterpreted the scene right before that characters introduction (he kills a guy but given he mind controlled someone earlier in the goons story I misinterpreted the other goons death as that) my mistake :L. Instead of something disgusting it was just a horrible character.
It is hard to make a historically grounded prequel manga to the mad max one about god-like martial art techniques and say it could fill the gap to its original story. Perhaps if the author went with the exact same road as with Hokuto no ken, which would obviously result in drastically changing several historical events, we would have a more realistic idea of a prequel. It would not really be that much of a stretch considering in the original manga Uyghur stated that his ancestors conquered an entire continent with Mogou Hakyoku dan techniques for example

The Big Intimidating Devil who kills for fun, killed his sister ruthlessly to brainwash hyoh into killing his own brother, kidnapped lin and was near ruining her future, and straight up cheated against ken with the poisonous gas, and HE suddenly became kind and Cried?? And Got A Sad Death?!?! BS Imagine if DIO got a cute little sad death, Yup, too bullshitty isn't it?
@@PalewhaleN7 Funny thing is that even Toki believed that Javi could be redeemed. What makes Kaioh's death poignant is that he regrets his actions in his last moment unlike Raoh. It is just that these redemptions can happen in the afterlife

You should read cyber blue, it's a manga that is also by tetsuo hara and imo it's a much better follow up to hnk than souten even though it technically isn't intended to be on
Video is good and not bad If I’m gonna say what this anime/manga does do bad is amount of wasted potential in all characters Like Hokuto branches could been way more interesting instead all them been done dirty and wasted potential If I remember correctly Charles de Guise was interesting use Hokuto with his gun of Chi and uses stuff with hokuto. Was unique instead we had Yasaka? Or someone else randomly killed him off screen maybe it was fei yan actually I can’t remember sorry. Like Guise was wasted and he could been cool character instead we rarely saw him or see him do anything. Like if you look him up on google or anything you barely see anything of guise doing stuff. Other branches. Tai Yan was like budget Jagi kinda but worst and this man has no reason at all be redeem like Ceaser in one piece. Like Tai Yan has interesting Hokuto powers to is what make Hokuto branches so unique. He could been one of best villains instead they mess him up. Mang Yun my personal favorite. We see him does stuff against his Master and defeated him by doing forbidden techniques of moving pressure points and madness mode all that stuff. Mang Yun was shown be powerful and had potential be a big boss person early. But what happens to me he was at great potential at first then completely went down hill and creator just throw him out the window. Him moving to Kasumi if I remember gets sick was causing him problems, life span problems, Charles De guise shot him have a blood wound be against Kasumi, and fought Kasumi hole time with 1 arm is not broken. Like genuinely Mang Yun could have had extremely interesting potential of his Hokuto route and might been one of most superior ones in my opinion. Mang Yun had great chi control could be advanced, has really good fighting style and actually block Kasumi attacks, Mang has ability’s caught his enemy’s off guard, and he has last resort things is honestly more safer version of Sekkako in HNK. Because sekkako gives you full strength for one last battle when Madness shortens life span for massive all around strength in all categories. He was genuinely wasted character and he could have defeated Kasumi first time and they will meet again as like final boss genuinely would been way cooler. Lastly Lui Zong Wu. He felt like more of a brawler type of Hokuto use more blunt stuff and firepower. Otherwise not too much stuff is unique. Like Lui Zong Wu could have had stuff made his Hokuto style more better close combat. Like his branch could have had way more better finishers techniques or very hard dogeable attacks. Last stuff since this is getting too long sorry M. Other characters like Yasaka, Fei Yan, and extra that were good not random enemy’s look like basic HNK enemy. They all had stuff was unique but all had wasted potential. Yasaka could have been way better and showed his potential more. Fei Yan could have showed us honest great sacrifice battle was not one sided fight. We could have had better. That is it sorry M hope your well.
