Anime Juza was on New Game+ I actually feel that anime Juza gets taken to kind of an extreme with how gallant they portray him. In the manga, you can tell Juza isn't motivated by anything other than his own whims. He isn't cruel or downright insane like a lot of other HnK characters, but he isn't some benevolent spirit trying to make the world a better place. He doesn't really care, which just makes it even more ironic and contrasting when he willingly throws away his life for someone else. Like, if the world wasn't such a cruel and unforgiving wasteland, he could probably be a pretty decent person. I also find it funny just how many people are in love with Yuria.
ok for real though, like you said, Juza was a breath of fresh air because we finally had a secondary/side character who didn't get killed on sight, had a wider background and a deeper trivia other than Rei. Also, the idea of a neutral character who belongs to neither good nor evil is a sensitive character trope that can be fumbled easily, but thankfully, that wasn't the case for our cloud boi, as he was given a good placement, reason and timing for someone like him to be a part of the story.
@KoniWrin2 got me smiling ear to ear, actually seeing a more developed side character. He's probably (in the anime) the only one I feel didn't get snubbed of a ton of potential.
@vanillaICE2474 yea. Alot of people who hate him straight ignore the good character writing and go "BUT LOOK HES A HORNDOG" and the convo immediatly shuts down from there.
Juza has some great qualities. I like how his "sad clown" persona fits into the larger narrative. I think the narrowly avoided incest thing was a little unnecessary. They couldve just made him Yuria's ex boyfriend. The scene of him crying as Yuria walks off with Kenshiro is one of the best emotional moments in the series. From what ive read, Juza was supposed to initially come off as this perfect, enviable guy before realizing the pain that was under the surface. He's a pretty boy who can defeat Raoh despite not knowing anreal martial art. He seems to not care about anyone or anything when in reality, hes so depressed that he cant focus on anything at all. His gaiden is awful though.
This is why Juza was my favorite. It hurts that the literal brother of Yuria is often disregarded. But then...I heard about the manga version which is technically more canon than the anime. That hurts BAD man.

Tht kind of character arc would rlly make HnK better as a story and i hope tht a remake of HNK tdy would be able to achieve tht. But thts probs wishful thinking.
I think tht Ken and Juza being like rivals with one another might hv also motivated Juza to rlly fight for something he believes in, which I feel was somewht forced in the main story altho yes the driver of his sacrifice was his love for Yuria. But Ken and Juza interacting and knowing more Abt one another as fellow martial artists would have perhaps planted in Juza a desire to hv something to fight for and hence lead more naturally to why he would decide tht Yuria was worth dying for.
To be honest, Juza was overpowered in the anime. As badass as his death was, it actually stole Fudo's thunder, who also rose from the grave during his fight with Raoh. Juza's fighting ability was on par with the likes of Shin and Rei, but it was his unpredictable style and expert trolling that gave him the edge.
M you should make a video about the best case scenario for the new anime like what things should be taking from the anime and what should be taken from the manga

Bro Juza was matching Raoh without being fated or trained to be anyone. Dude made all the martial arts in the anime look like a joke. I mean he was still cool but like demn did he fuck up the optics.

He should actually be one of the laziest fighters in the series, him being super disciplined and reaching for having a super strong martial art goes AGAINST his personality. I'm just saying he needed a much more clever glazing than "he's just born to be good" to explain his prowess. I guess I know where dragon ball super got it from xD

I normally don’t like the anime additions but the final part of Juza’s fight is perfection and I hope the new anime keeps it somehow.
