Gonna hijack your comment to point out that vaping is simply harm reduction. Still harmful but scientifically, evidently safer. Vaping does not produce smoke via combustion but rather vapor via vaporization. No by-products are produced during vaporization because it doesn't reach hot enough a temperature, what goes in goes out and that's the end of the story. Combustion is where you get problems, everytime. If your vape juice is up to the industry standard, it is made with propylene glycol and vegetal glycerin, both of which show no carcinogenic properties when heated up like you will find in a vape. You would have to be stupid to be presented with this info and still doubt that vaping is safer than smoking, the question is not IF but rather just how much safer.

@@njack350 If vaping didn’t exist, I’d still be addicted to cigarettes. I quit smoking a year ago (after being addicted to it for over 13yrs), and have now almost completely quit vaping. The problem is that people use vapes for the wrong reason. If used for the correct reason, and with the intent to stop the vaping too, then they are indeed extremely helpful. I tried everything out there even old wives tales to stop smoking, nothing worked until I discovered the Vype one specifically. I went from a pack of cigs a day, to using a vape about once a week now, by the time summer arrives I hope to be fully done. I’m thankful vapes exist, I just hate the way they target their clientele and try to keep people hooked to it.
I'm 2 days without a cigarette. I have been vaping here and there, to ease the irritation. I know it's not healthy, but I'm trying the best I can to quit something I've been doing for 15 years.
You can do it. Just don't get addicted to vaping, use it as a tool and keep lowering the nicotine amount. If you are jonesing try drinking a big glass of water then listen to a podcast or audio book while taking a walk.
That is very good, hope you still haven't touched a cigarette since you posted this comment. Vaping is awesome to help some people to quit smoking. @@johnknightiii1351 Thank you, dude (: I'm going to see about just quitting vaping cold turkey as well, after maybe a few more days. Once I made it to 24 hours I had the mindset of "let's see how long I can go", and now I'm almost 1 week without a cigarette (:
Smoking has a lot of "positive" effects, if looked at in isolation lol. It can also suppress the need to cough, so if you develop asthma after you start smoking, it can be useful there. But again, in isolation lol. In most cases it's better to quit, I think the only exception I can think of is if you're really old and still smoking, as there can be concern that the stress from the withdrawal can kill you.
@@heavennunya809 another positive effect is the feeling of nicotine 🤣👌🏻 I’m just messing around lmao, but you kinda have a point because right after you smoke you don’t want to cough while it’s hurting and if you cough really damn hard after smoking it’ll cause even more damage to the irritated parts of your body. BUT if you have asthma or bronchitis or etc lung problems you actually DO want to cough because it helps to release some of the buildup in the lungs that a smokers lungs usually aren’t strong enough to get out. A lot of the reason that people end up so messed from smoking is the prolonged use damaging your body farther than it can fix. The human body is surprisingly strong and can heal after smoking, unless the damage is to the point of no return (which is a lot). I started smoking at 9 years old but started trying to quit at around 15 when I got diagnosed with severe bronchitis and the possibility of it spreading to pneumonia. I was born with asthma too but that just shows my stupidity 😂 I use my vape to get off by lowering nicotine and counting daily amount of puffs. Pretty helpful to be honest if you’re using it for the right thing (to get off). At 17 I got pretty close to being off for good, but I was going through abusive family stuff and landed homeless a couple times within a couple years. Addictions suck. I come from a very long line of smokers. My grandfather smoked, my mom smokes, my dad smokes, my aunt smokes and I grew up with cigarettes all over the house and lots of Ash trays and the like. Im currently 26 and never had any desire to smoke. Here's my tip to prevent your kids from smoking that I learned later: If your kid says they want to smoke here how you get them to not do it. Whenever you're around them, especially when they're enjoying what they're currently doing tell them "gotta go outside for 5 minutes. Smoke break." Make them stand outside for that 5 minutes. Repeat every 10-15 mins for a few weeks and they probably won't want to smoke anymore. Its just such an inconvenience to start smoking.
I actually NEEDED to hear this today. I started gaining a lot of stress weight since the semester started, and I feel so disgusted with myself which is not helping with my overall stress lvls. I got to a point where I cannot even get the thought of smoking to lose weight out of my head, but I know that at the end it would f*** up my health in a more permanent way, which will make me even more disgusted with myself but in a different way. So I really appreciate the reminder.

I tried vaping when it first hit the market. It was advertized as "safe" and would help me stop smoking cigarettes. Except, when I would ask what was in the vape solution, no one gave me a straight answer. A couple of months later, I finally found out. There are so many chemicals, it made cigarettes look like they were made of sunshine and cotton candy. So, I quit both. Now, I have friends who are dealing with throat and lung issues, and their doctors are kind of working blind because "there isn't enough literature", or so they say. Don't vape.
Let me put it this way, you ever watch a commercial where it’s like “try our medicine, half the commercial is all they ways it’s gonna kill you, ask your doctor if medicine is right for you” Because the medicine is bad for you, but under the right conditions it may be a necessary risk, Another example is CPR, odds are if you ever do cpr you’re probably gonna break their ribs (one of the most painful bones to fracture) but broken ribs is better than them not breathing.
This was my comment to this idiot content creator: OMG ur full of shit 😂. Vaping been around since the late 60s. Because technically it is made to help you quit smoking It's not healthy, by any means, but it's less cancerous than a cigarette, and that has been proven Dumb kids buying them to be cool is another discussion We could always discuss how in the US they complain about them becoming addictive for teenagers, when they have no real regulations for nicotine concentration Example, in Europe stuff like juul is forced to have less than 20mg/ml of nicotine But the juuls that were sold in the US had like 50mg, which is A FUCKING LOT, no wonder kids got addicted to them.... But big ol' US likes to ban stuff instead of actually working on the problem (like setting an age limit or some strict regulations, lol) Little edit: just to give off some data, 50mg/ml means that every ml of liquid you are taking as much nicotine as 3.5 packs of cigarettes One juul pod is around 0.7ml, so every pod is 2.5 packs of cigarettes worth of nicotine!
Back when his majesty king George was alive he was also encouraged to smoke to help with his stutter because it would "relax his throat". He developed lung cancer and had to have a lung removed where they found a malignant tumor. He passed at the age of 56
50 years for cigarettes to work their magic and slowly kill the user thus allowing medically trained professionals to inspect and exam the body to find causes of death (which happens to be black burnt up shriveled lungs) yes. vaping is a great way to decrease the damage to the body compared to smoking. it can't be as bad cause all the ingredients in the liquid is water solluable and there is no radioactive tar that is getting stuck in the lungs. it is in no way, shape or form healthy, it is just less bad and it is a great way for smokers to first swap to to get the nicotine and slowly drop the nicotine to zero and after that stop entirely cause dealing with a mechanical habbit is way easier than dealing with a chemical addiction. Well here’s a fun fact, there’s different types of inhalers but all of them technically in the end will cause some minor damage to the lungs (some more than others). If you need them, you take them to stay alive. If you don’t need them, they can mess your entire body up. I’m on a high dose inhaler for asthma and an UNGODLY amount of an inhaler for bronchitis.

@@meadowpavlovic4105 or you'll be dead from cancer
Here's my tip to prevent your kids from smoking that I learned later:
If your kid says they want to smoke here how you get them to not do it.

Dumb kids buying them to be cool is another discussion
We could always discuss how in the US they complain about them becoming addictive for teenagers, when they have no real regulations for nicotine concentration
Example, in Europe stuff like juul is forced to have less than 20mg/ml of nicotine
But the juuls that were sold in the US had like 50mg, which is A FUCKING LOT, no wonder kids got addicted to them....
But big ol' US likes to ban stuff instead of actually working on the problem (like setting an age limit or some strict regulations, lol)
Little edit: just to give off some data, 50mg/ml means that every ml of liquid you are taking as much nicotine as 3.5 packs of cigarettes
One juul pod is around 0.7ml, so every pod is 2.5 packs of cigarettes worth of nicotine!

Me who has asthma and needs to inhale every hour: Welp, guess I'll die
I don't think inhaling medicine is the same as inhaling smoke.
Inhalers use propellants, and there are some powder versions.
That's different, inhalers are basically fresh air with hormones to help your lungs take that air easier
@@SLYKM vapes don't have smoke either
Well here’s a fun fact, there’s different types of inhalers but all of them technically in the end will cause some minor damage to the lungs (some more than others).
BUUUUUUT here’s the catch, you can use them and have minor damage over time to stay alive, or you can not take them when needing to and possibly die or become sick.
If you need them, you take them to stay alive.
If you don’t need them, they can mess your entire body up.
I’m on a high dose inhaler for asthma and an UNGODLY amount of an inhaler for bronchitis.
If I take my inhalers the damage to my lungs isn’t as bad, compared to me not taking them and literally dying from my lungs hating me…… if that makes sense 😂 I hope I explained this somewhat well 👌🏻🤣
@@jellybabybeauty8308 inhalers are necessary medication to help you be alive, vapes are not
My entire childhood consists of second hand smoking because of my family
Lol backhand
Backhand bros 🤜🤛
Second hand?
Be careful about that look up Dana Reeves, never smoked and died from lung cancer from secondhand smoke
@@sherbert3297 same thing happened to my grandpa. He hated smoking because his parents always smoked in the house. He passed from lung cancer due to the secondhand smoke he’d been exposed to as child, even though he never smoked in his life.
Thanks for saying this. I wish that more people would see this.
I can breathe better switching from smoking to vaping. I can taste food, I can smell, I don't stink like an ashtray...
Started nicotine at 12mg down to 3. Working my way to zero!
Edit: started smoking at age 14. I'm 39 now. I'm off cigarettes for almost 4.5 years now.
Is vaping better? Of course not better than regular oxygen but better than cigarettes? Yes.
@@melrye7350 she already is smoke free! 😂 I still vape to this day I was smoking 2 packs a day I'm at 3 mg nicotine and I feel amazing I can run forever it seems, i don't smell bad, I've met amazing people, vaping isn't just a tool to help stop smoking it's a community with amazing people. Vaping gets a bad rap because the news has no idea wtf they're talking about
Using it as a tool to quit smoking is great the problem is many people like yourself never fully transition off. Why did you stop lowering the nicotine?
@@johnknightiii1351 why does it matter? Not being rude but seriously.... it's not cigarettes, etc.
@@JenniferFuchek did you not watch the video? This doesn't even take into account the vape related deaths that are already happening. Unfortunately it's not as safe as it has been portrayed. But you do you. No one will ever be able to change a mind that is already made-up
@@johnknightiii1351 do YOU research or parrot what media says? Deaths are caused by homemade juices where people use inappropriate content.
Welp I'm addicted and need help quitting. I got hooked in highschool and here I am 3+ year later :')
It's easier said than done when you face addiction. Best thing to do is not get addicted in the first place, I definitely regret it
i agree but you could use nicotine patches or nicotine gum. it's much safer than vaping or smoking
same here dude
Same here. Started my freshman year of high school (I was about 13-14yrs old) and here I am about 4 years later still addicted to vaping. I wanna stop but addiction is hard
10 years....almost all my friends quit..and here i am
@@teepussi6161 can you please provide proof of that statement?
I'm glad you're sharing this message because I feel like not a lot of people take it seriously
My mom told me that doctors told pregnant woman to smoke to help them relax.
She was so happy when Canada was the first country to ban smoking in public places.
I love ur TIPS FROM THE ER I actually learn sm
