Intelligence, humor, and a foul-mouth: A winning combination! Love ya.
Why I follow….I’m a retired nurse, and you say everything I ever wanted to, but kept my mouth shut to keep my job!! !LOL!! Been with you ever since then! Your first COVID, how to wear a mask correctly , binge watched the rest! Sir you are hilarious!!
Same, same! 💯
My shoulder dislocated like crazy. They did surgery and fixed it. They said I had the best outcome he's seen.
You're lucky. My knee cap dislocates any time it feels like taking off which I then have to shove it back into place... if it's even possible because sometimes my knee will be too swollen to shove it back in. I had a patellar realignment surgery and was finally doing better but then I had to see a workers comp doctor who thought it was a good idea to take my knee in one hand and my ankle in the other and torqued them in opposite directions... the motherfucker went and tore out half of what was screwed into my tibia... I legit had my knee taken apart, got some new dead person cartilage since I no longer had any, then putting everything back together properly and drilling 2 2" stainless steel screws into my tibia and that fucking idiot not only ruin a $250k plus surgery but he made it so I now need a knee replacement, well I needed it in 2017 when he tore it but workers comp kept saying "You're too young" try this blahblahbullshit (the equivalent being "oh you go shot? Here's a bandaid) I've spent the last 4 years fighting workers comp AND my orthopedic dr that I need help, especially since I started developing osteoarthritis before 27... so now the same dumb dumb doctor of mine say my new MRIs and I said "so what's next a partial knee replacement?" And he said "Well with that much osteoarthritis you might not have enough bone strength so it'll probably need a total replacement" so I told him that my pain management doctor recommended nerve block injections and this fucking idiot that KNOWS how jacked my knees are and that said I might need a total replacement because of how jacked my right knee is said "Yeah you should get the shots and maybe they'll help enough so you don't have to do the surgery".... excuse me but what the mother fucking fuck is wrong with that dude! He should have retired 20 years ago.
So yeah today my kneecap is refusing to budge which is annoying but better that then having a freaking joy stick for a kneecap. Dislocations are a bitch but when they happen multiple times a day you start thinking that it's better to chop your leg off with a rusty spoon then deal with the searing, stabing and just plain hit by a Mack truck feeling... fun times!
I'm glad your surgery went better than it could've been. I had my shoulder done years ago, tore a bunch of stuff, and it was my worse surgery to date... and I had half of home depot used on my knee! But yeah the pain was horrible and getting home and going to the bathroom to then realize "umm I can't use my left hand... how the heck am I going to pull my pants and underwear down with one hand?!?!" I did the whole left side, right side, left, right, etc until they were down enough... I never knew that I use my nondominant hand as much as I did! But yeah shoulder surgery hurts and that's from someone who's had 8 total and the shoulder is still the winner.
I'm glad you're recovered and I wish you good health for life!
@@vandaway1 thank you and good health to you too.

I was in the ER hooked up to an EKG in a hard gurney and getting cold feet. Nurse hadn’t left the call button in reach so I tried to distract myself with some YT. I encountered a Steveioe short and then regretted having the volume up. But hey, Steveioe functions as a call button in times of need!
I'm a retired ER trauma nurse. I think you are SO funny. Don't like the cursing too much. I've been passing your videos onto some of my former ER nurse friends. Laughter is the best medicine, esp. when dealing with the stress of an ER. Thank you for your videos.
I, too, enjoy Steve’s insights and anecdotes, but the swearing is very jarring. I’d share his videos if there weren’t all the swearing.
First video for me was "Body Bags," lol.
Caught my attention instantly (funeral director/ embalmer), and then I just had to binge watch the rest... laughing my ass off the entire time, MuFKR!
Mine was the first degree burns video.
As a German Paramedic I always laugh while watching your Videos...you are telling the truth about "Patients". Same Thing Here...but our healthcaresystem is much better and will pay for almost anything....so the reeeeeally dump stuff too...
Go in man, congrats to 7 Million
I love how he is teaching us stuff while cursing and being funny 😁

Re: Fingers
If you cut off a finger, do it in a room where your dog or cat is at. Loyal loving Fido or sweet innocent Mrs. Whiskers will happily chow down on that little digit like its a fresh bit of steak. You don't want it back once its completed its new journey.
Just eat the skin from the finger
@@kittencat3386 Do you eat your fingers with or without the peel?

I had just gotten out of the hospital when I first saw Steveio and I could sympathize with the medical community as they were very busy and took good care of me. You're funny, Steveio, and you say what so many people want to say.
"Fighting to survive whatever nut you just licked." That was too funny!!
I never realized how many 2nd degrees I got working in kitchens until just now lmao

I’m a nurse, and your advice is right on and hilarious
I'm an EMT instructor and have shown your videos in class and many have subscribed. Your information is accurate, condensed and obviously very funny. Great job! 👍
I have put a couple of your theories to the test at the ER 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂, and i can laugh about it NOW... I do my very best not to visit, but unfortunately, there are situations beyond your control that put you in that position... One of those times i had an abscess and the pain was unbelievable ! I couldn't walk anymore !When i finally got a bed, this handsome male nurse shot me up with morphine and, for the first time in 2 weeks, i was pain free !!! He was my Angel ! I had surgery the next day... I will always remember that nurse 💕! I love your videos and i truly appreciate what you do 😘
I had a crazy allergic reaction once to my meds and went into anaphylactic shock
I can’t remember much but I do remember getting sleepy af and hearing the nurse say “get the mask her oxygen is dropping”
I lowkey thought I was gonna die-
But I was fine, just in the hospital coloring and shit it was nice
I was allergic to pineapple, tomato, and Citrus acid
@@hannahbanana719 better steer clear of Hawaiian pizzas!
@@hannahbanana719 Same my parents think I'm allergic to pineapple and tomato.
@@hannahbanana719 do you mean citric acid?? Cause if so I deeply feel for you, I couldn’t imagine being allergic to the ingredient that literally makes sour candy sour. Also, you can’t pack apples in your lunch or for a picnic cause without lemon juice they turn brown quickly and go bad. Idk how you don’t end up having an allergic reaction if you are allergic to it, sitting here and thinking a Lot of things have it in it even if it’s just used a preservative for food, hell it’s even used in some medicine and in disinfectants, and not just the ones with the citrus smell to them.
I subscribed because: It is informative, I love how you call everyone Mother F'ers, and I like how sarcastic you get.
Your brutal honesty is priceless!! I’ve had some patients who I would’ve loved to share your advice with. 🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️
I am gonna be honest, I didn't like you at all first so I just scrolled past your videos everytime you came up. But later I just came across one of your videos and I understood that you are actually teaching people about what to do during an emergancy, and you do it in a like funny way for teenagers and up. Now I love your videos and I am so worried that you are going to stop when covid is gone.
So in middle school there was this kid chilling on the balcony to the portable room and he said he was gonna do a back flip and I said "don't die~".
Good news, he landed it, and it was a good back flip
Bad news, he went around the back of the portable and hit his head on the corner of the AC unit and started bleeding out, and I had to do a police report for legal reasons for the school
Good news! We were going inside to our health class! So he was in good hands
I've never heard so many kids yelling to call 911 in my life
There was so much blood and the janitor lady had to pressure wash the dried up blood
So he died?
@@grandpajude617 oh no he's fine. He just has a leaky eye, we actually became really good friends
Oh wow glad he survived
There's never a dull moment in a middle school.
What's a portable room?
All I remember is laughing so hard I kept watching these videos. Working in the med field this was refreshingly relatable.. I love it thank you. 😆
“ see? , it’s a buddy. “ got me laughing.
This video made me realize I had severe second degree burns from sitting in direct sunlight for 45 minutes. My legs were covered in golf ball size blisters that accidentally got popped from above and filled with water when I took a shower. Having 2 deciliters of shower water in each blister pocket weighs down on your skin a LOT and hurts like hell. After the blisters were popped and my raw skin underneath was starting to heal I had problems walking from the pain. Even three years later I still have "tan lines" (aka damaged red skin) on my legs, even though I have been inside most of the time due to covid. I have the fairest skin type that burns immediately, which sucks.
I just found the same thing out. I spent hours in the sun without sunscreen and ended up with severe second degree burns on my arms. My shoulders blistered pretty bad but never popped. The blisters came off whole a few weeks later. But I was stupid. I did the same thing a few years later and this time my skin ripped a few days after the incident. And what’s even more stupid is I had my mom just take the rest of the top layer of skin off the burned area. BIG MISTAKE. I couldn’t sleep because literally everything hurt the burned area. NEVER AGAIN.
I got my wrist covered in blisters from a second degree burn once not from the sun. Your entire legs though?! Oh my goodness! That must have been so painful!
I had a very similar experience. I’d been out in the ocean when the surf was rough, so I was tired when I finally came out, and I fell asleep in the sun.
I didn’t feel the pain at first, but by the time I got home, I realized I had burns and blisters all the way down the back of my legs and thighs. I’ve been sunburned many, many times (I literally can’t be out in direct sun for more than ten minutes before I start to burn), but this was by far the worst pain I’ve ever had. I almost went to the hospital.
Ever since then, I’m extremely careful about sun exposure. A few years ago, I went on a week long boating trip, and some of the other passengers teased me a little, bc I wouldn’t come up to the top deck and hang out while the sun was beaming down. But I told them “I don’t have strong enough SPF to withstand it, and I’m not about to be miserable on my vacation bc of a sunburn.” Later cut to me merrily hiking along the coast and most of them wincing in pain, trying to keep up, but with their skin practically crackling.
Same here- we went to the beach and forgot sunscreen, figured we’d pick some up on the way back to the lodge and that we’d be fine for one day, maybe minor sunburn. We were not fine. Moving at all was hell (walking down stairs was not an option. I had to slowly scoot down each step on my butt) and the most comfortable position i could find was laying flat on a blanket on the carpeted floor. Coconut oil was a godsend though, i don’t think I could’ve handled the pain without it.
I have the same issue. I eventually decided to cover up with a swim shirt while swimming, kayaking, or boating. I’m never going to remember to wear enough sunscreen or reapply it often enough. Soooo many sunburns before I got smart enough to cover up. A thin, lightweight, breathable, quick-drying layer of fabric on my body is all the protection I need. No more radiation burns for me!
I don't remember which video that got me to start watching you but, when i started watching them I found out that I love your energy/personality and the truth is the funniest things to laugh at.
Oh my gosh. The fainting thing. I fainted a couple times at work. The first time, I didn’t know that’s what was happening or anything about fainting and I went to the bathroom and crouched JUST LIKE YOU SAID IN THE VIDEO!!! Knees to my chest and head between my knees! I remember I was freaking out because my hearing was quickly vanishing and having a sharp sense of nausea which quickly dissipated. The nausea is why I went to the bathroom. I didn't want to possibly throw up on the kiwis I was slicing!
My point is that the whole crouching thing was just like instinct for me! I didn't even know what was happening!
I found you on UA-cam. I am in the medical field and love your videos. You make me laugh! I’m sure you see a lot working in an ER and put a humorous spin on it.
The first one I saw was on UA-cam shorts you were the very first video I saw and I loved your refreshing sense of humour and wake up you idiots style especially coming from a member of the medical profession! I applaud you and thank you for keeping me laughing!
Him: always rap ice up before using it
Me: tissue paper it is
Toilet paper it is
@@kittencat3386 I don’t have enough for that 😅
I've fainted once. My mother did the exact opposite of what you said to do. I fainted, standing up because I was busy and didn't have time to sit down, besides I get dizzy all the time and thought that's why I felt that way.. but anyways, I fainted, she picked me back up to my feet, and guess what. I FELL BACK DOWN AGAIN. WHAT A SURPRISE. No ambulance needed, my shoulder did get a little hurt but I woke up almost immediately. One second I'm dizzy, the next I'm on the ground with my shoulder hurting, my mother standing in front of me, and no memory of how I managed to get on the ground. Fun.
Yeah, I fainted shortly after waking once. Didn't have time to sit, just remember walking to the kitchen to ask my mom what she was cooking for breakfast and the next minute I was sitting on the floor looking up at her. She had me hang out there until my BP sorted itself back out tho
Honestly, I don't remember very well so I don't know which video it was. But the reason that I started to watch your videos is that you teach me new things. The way you smile while cursing earned my respect.
I can’t member the first video of yours that I saw, but I followed because let’s say I have a few medical conditions, how much rather be able to self medicate and treat whenever my body freaks out rather than relying on the hospital and emergency service every single time, especially when I live alone.
Any one of your videos can potentially save me another hospital trip for a minor injury or sickness or one that I can easily fixed myself because I’ve learnt how to watching your videos. I learn not to panic and I know exactly what to do and only phone for medical help if I actually need it
I will say this again for the heck of it. I love this guy's videos. He's funny and serious at the same Mfkr time.
OMG you're the voice in my head that I can't say out loud cause I'll get fired lololol love the content. #ERrocks #ERnurses
Lol
I love watching your shorts. Educational and you got me busting up. Thank you.
I’m a retired nurse. Worked cardiac and ER. I don’t remember which video I saw first but was hooked after the first one!
Every video makes me want to watch another video of you. I like how direct, nonchalant, and flavorful you speak.
As someone with hypermobility in the joints of my fingers, shoulders, knees, hips, and ankles, I’ve had to deal with a lot of dislocations. I had never really thought it to be that big of a deal , the joint pops out and you just pop it back into place, right? And then my friend dislocated their pinky finger and started freaking out, and I learned that it’s not normal for people’s joints to pop out of place. I think I’ve only ever gone to the hospital for it once, when my backpack (which weighs around 50 or 60 pounds, maybe a little bit more) had a strap get caught around my thumb when I picked it up and it yanked my thumb out of place and I couldn’t put it back into place. I was freaking out, not because it hurt, but because it was the first time I hadn’t been able to put it back in place myself. It all ended up being fine, but I had to wear a splint for around a week to make sure it didn’t slide back out of place. Since then, I’ve had several dislocations, but never bad again, and I’m very grateful to the doctors and nurses who were able to help me when I needed them to. Still, as scared as I was with the dislocated thumb, I think my mom had it worse (she’s never dislocated a joint, and she was freaking out with how my thumb was placed)
Can I guess that you have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome?? Cause I do and that’s Exactly what goes on with me, joint pops out of place and I’ll literally just sit there stone faced and be like “well that’s troubling” and then just pop it back in. For instance today I managed to pop my right pointer finger out of place while showering, and while it hurt like all hell I popped it back into place. Still finished my shower and got dressed cause at a certain point you’re used to living with dislocated/painful joints you kinda just learn to deal with it and continue through the pain. Lol.
Funny thing is I had Just finished watching the buddy tape part of this video right before I got in the shower, guess it’s a good thing I got a refresher on what to do with a dislocated finger huh? Lmao.
Love your channel. I use to be a BioMed Engineer. I've seen a lot of stuff. Keep up the good work.
35 yrs as a medical social worker. ER nurses are the champions of life.
“Don’t pop your blisters.”
Me: *nervous* At least it wasn’t from a burn.
FIRST VIDEO I SAW: Videos that got you banned from TikTok
WHY I SUBSCRIBED: Because I like the way you deliver these tips from the E.R, how to handle it approach certain situations, the way you explain things and the fact that you show how human you are as an E.R Technician.
I HATE seeing videos of people being so proper, watching what and how they say things, people being FAKE as is everything is "perfect" but never being REAL and allowing their followers to only see the good on camera but not showing the bad and ugly that REALLY happens of OFF camera.
Please continue keeping it real cause personally I appreciate that more than watching someone's video where they PRETEND LIKE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT.
ive always wanted to be a nurse but i dropped out high school and got a couple felonies. so this is as close as ill ever get to studying nursing now
One summer at band camp I got a second degree burn on the back of my shoulder. I was always too distracted to apply sunscreen. Now, I’m kinda better about applying sunscreen and I only have been to the ER twice, once for my first epileptic seizure and the second time for not being sure if this is the right world. Never went for my 2nd degree burn, because my parents are both certified RNs and we took care of it at home.
These never get old. Quite educational
It was “The “Q” Word”. I saw it around Super Bowl Day and that one came up next. I appreciate your sense of humor and getting info out about emergencies and what happens in the ER. I am not a doctor, either, but worked the ER for awhile, many years ago. You are cute, too, so I am sure you are no longer single. I like your cooking videos, too.
Lol. Idk which was the first video that popped up on my feed, but I started following cause I tend to wake up in the ER every once in a while. Like aw shit, here I am again... damn seizures. I enjoy watching the tips and really enjoyed the skits. Also the fact that these are cases and things that you actually deal with in the ER just reminds me what fucking angels you are. Idk how many times I have woke up in the ER, ripped out my catheter or tried ripping out incubator tube. I think that my body has built up a tolerance to propofol, cause that shit don't knock me out like it use too. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ I cannot thank you and every other person who works in this field, you guys literally save lives.... Like my dumb ass.
"Always wrap it up before you use it." 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love your double meanings. ☺️
1st video I saw was 5 biggest er lies. Laughed hard, really hard. Being an retired RN, makes your humor even funnier.I do enjoy your raw sense of humor. Harsh and blunt humor. I guess I’m as twisted as you are. That’s why I follow.
Introduced by way of Jeenie's videos and got the giggles. Have worked in preclinical vaccine and drug studies for 8 years so I appreciate your COVID videos and not going to sugar coat it bluntness. Have you done a video about parents who brings in child for minor stuff?
Following because i am a non emergency nurse but ER recaps back to school is also great.
Ex EMS dispatcher, started following since I'm looking to start nursing. You're hilarious mufkr😂
Hey Steve, Nurse Kori here. You might want to stop telling people to call the "ambulance" and tell them to call 911 instead. You just told everyone that ambulances are for medical transport, and you're right!
The first of his videos I saw was the seizure one. Keep up the good work MuFkr!
Blunt and to the point. That give more time for information. Love it.
I can't recall the first video I watched mufkr. But soon watched just about all you made. Even shared with another mufkr. Love you.
Idk which video it was but, as a former military medic, your attitude pulled me in.
I love watching your videos.
I don’t remember which one first came up but I immediately started watching all of them and then started sending them to my ER nurse mom
I have no idea which of your shorts first popped up on my front page, but I keep coming back to watch your stuff because it makes the possibility of medical emergencies less scary. Education is the anti-panic!
Dono when I started following I follow because u make light of humanity and medical advice in easy snippets. Thanks

I follow purely because of the way you say mufkr as it reflects the way I see certain people in life
Thank you! I have learned a lot from you and smiled along the way. :)

I don't remember the first video I watched, because I watched several in a row. Retired ER nurse, so can relate to most of your videos
First videos of yours I found was titled “things new moms have said to their partner in the delivery room” from there I went down the rabbit hole. I have a few family members in health care and known a few other workers myself. This is all so accurate and funny.
I followed because after 21 years working trauma you said what I wanted to say every damn day
You should be played on repeat in all ERs. That way the patients will know exactly what we want to say.

I don't even remember the first video I saw. I just know I followed because my mom would've freakin' loved you. She was a nurse for something like forty years, and oh man the stories.
You popped up on my UA-cam feed about 2 months ago. As a retired RN, your accuracy of medical situations cracks me up. You also remind me of the 7p-7a Philippino Mafia that I worked with. Yeah, I know. You're Vietnamese.

I started following you after you called me a Mufkr with a big smile on your face! 👌
I really can't remember the very first video I saw but the one that made me subscribe was thinking that an unconscious person in the ER doesn't hear what's going on. So Steve does a beautiful rendition of Jingle Bells while farting the entire song. Of course the patient comes to and Steve slinks out of the room. That did it, I subscribed and never miss a day of his insanity.
Woah, I was just watching one of your other videos when I got this in my notifications!
