@@Rm3c they’ve been working perfectly, I haven’t been pushing it much because of wet winter roads already, but I’ve been to 22 psi boost a few times and the power comes on till redline, so far so good , they’re louder than the 17ts and make really nice induction noises

Hi turbo lab, thanks for this video, I have no experience in this field, have a stock N54 engine and wanna make the upgrade turbos, would you recommend this 19t blade ones with the upgrade kit? Or should I go with other brand? I wanna make around 550 to 600 hp without pushing turbos to the limit, it’s gonna be a daily driven 135i, thanks for your time
17t 6blades have to have actuators rods positioned for optimum waste gate open and close. Also keep tune under 23 psi 24 25 with E85 mix. Definitely a convo to have wit your tuner.. I suggest Doc Vu Just a deeper thought to rebuild the chra center sections with turbolabs 17t turbo rebuild kits..These Chinese units theyre deliberately using fail parts to sell to us...guess they want repeat buyerslol

@@ltdasilva93 I've done more research and since changed course I ordered a doc race dr700 kit. However it is paramount that the stock pcv system both high and low are eliminated and an external system is ran.

What turbo for the N54 would you recommend as an OEM+ upgrade? So basically a turbo that exceeds in every measure over the stock Mitsubishi twin turbochargers?
@@cupompa I would email or call Rob “RB Turbo”. His customer service is bar none and will recommend what you need based on what power levels you want. He offers really good discounts as well. RB and Pure actually build and balance their turbos unlike other companies that source it out. You can’t go wrong with either one. Good luck!
I’m not sure, one of the people I’m talking with has a set of 17t he’s trying to repair but he is facing a problem of the parts not being the same, the bearings and piston rings are different so the parts would have to be recreated.

What’s the price if I want you to do the same to my 19t ? Including a full rebuild kit for both turbos
I emailed him and he said $250 to rebuild a set of turbos and $125 to deburr both housings.

do they make the thrust bearing and collar upgrade for the 17T or just the 19T?
Soo... From what I understand upgraded thrust bearing kit makes these 19t reliable if we push it above 20psi?
The spacer size is the main pony of failure but yes it makes it reliable for any boost level below the point of surging

Whats your take on the compressorhousing? It's still a small stock snail with a 1inch exit.
Hey the viv auto parts eBay 19ts specify that they come with the dual oil port assembly and 14mm upgrade as well. Any experience with those?

The shaft is unique. I don’t know if I can get that part easily but I’ll look into it
