    I've wondered how you tested so many products on you hair without damaging it and now it all makes sense, it's the research you do on the ingredients beforehand. Thank God for you Trav!

    I actually tried the fermented rice water with pomelo peels in it. My hair did feel nice and smooth after letting soak for about 30 minutes. The downside was my hair smelled like cheese and citrus!

    Hey Trav, I was wondering, what’s your take and opinion on the “no shampoo” method? I’ve been growing my hair out from a 0 for about 16 months, having a shaved head for the past several years, and after the first six months of growth, and shampoo day becoming my least favorite day of the week, I decided to give it a try. The main benefit I’ve noticed is my issues with dryness and itching went away almost entirely. Would love to see you do a video about it, if you have the time, as I’m sure there’s plenty more men like me in your audience. Cheers!

    I dunno if I had just flakes or dandruff... but when I switched to Head and Shoulders I never got them again. I feel like its the zinc pyrithione in it. I get dry skin though, still figuring out the root cause because I know too much sebum production can lead to similar symptoms of irritation, redness and flaky skin. At the same time a moisturizer tends to calm the symptoms, but one cream I have which is the only one that left my skin feeling back to normal, was a product that contained zinc. There are a couple other factors that I don't want to get into that make me believe I have an overproduction of sebum. Unfortunately I can never find other products with that zinc pyrithione for face/ body wash. Definitely going to stick with Head and Shoulders for now though. My scalp is under control, its just the technique and process I have to figure out. Gonna try and only massage the shampoo into my scalp and then condition only the ends and see if that has better results.

    Hi Trav, just wanted to point out that in your hair type PDF it says to "use sulfate-free shampoo. No SLS" if you have a dry scalp, and since you've changed your mind about sulfates I've been wondering whether it's best to use a shampoo that's sulfate-free as a person with a dry scalp and hair (and shower less often) as it says on the PDF, or have you changed your mind about that too?

    • @TravWhiteStyle
      @TravWhiteStyle  2 роки тому +1

      I’d stay away from mass market brands with sulfates if you have dry scalp. You’ll find gentler detergents in moisturizing salon quality brands too

    Nice Video Trav. I would just like to ask. My hair get frizzy even tho I use sulfate free shampoo and argan oil after wash. I covered my head with a towel and allowed it to dry which made it better. Are my hair absorbing moisture from the air?

    • @sofiachrysanthakopoulou849
      @sofiachrysanthakopoulou849 2 роки тому

      Usually when your hair gets frizzy it means the strands want more hydration which is found in the air. Frizz= hair reaching out for more hydration in the atmosphere.

      @@orlandoweather24 given your profile picture, I would say it's more of a styling problem. Maybe try a leave in along with an olive oil. I would recommend Garnier hair food or the L'Oréal elvive full resit power mask as the more affordable options. Let it dry naturally without the towel on ton of your head. If you see any flyaways just pinch them with the tamed strands. Hope this helps a little.

    • @cheddarballs864
      @cheddarballs864 2 роки тому

      It takes longer for the top to reach the bottom, so I started with a fade and grew everything for a year. But my hair was so damaged bc of the cheap shampoos I was using that I just cut my hair again so I'm starting over

    • @tubax926
      @tubax926 2 роки тому

      Definitely your entire head. I grew out from an undercut and when my hair got to shoulder length I found that my hair flared out at the ends because of the shorter length of my back and sides. You can always use some gel to slick back your sides while your hair isn't very long yet. Once it is long you will feel the balance of your entire head.
