Some might say how simple that is - but having never even seen a bipod before, I didn't know how to attach it. Thanks - straight to the point and very clear videoing.
Awesome! I've been thinking about getting a scout rifle and had no idea how people got bipods on without a picatinny rail. Video is still helping 10 years later!
Even though this video is 6 years old it helped me out. As someone who is completely brand new at putting these things on this video, your video, is why I got my bipod installed. I had a stud screw already and the instructions on the website were not clear at all and I just wasn't getting it so thank you so much for being so clear.
Thanks man. Noob here. Have been shooting with irons / no upgrades. Recently added a scope to a rifle. Ordered a rifle that was set up in store, but for transit they took off the bipod & scope. Makes complete sense and is really easy looking at it now. Didn't know what the nubbin at the front was for but now I do. Gonna love to keep customizing.
I purchased a Magpul M-Lok bipod mount for my AR. I didn't know what kind of bipod to purchase to match the bipod mount. Your video saved me some money and time because I almost purchased the wrong type of bipod. Thanks much!
Thanks mate, Ive had my Remington 70 for ages and always used a makeshift Bipod due to it having no rail. Now i know what style of Bipod i can use on her.
Tim Barrett yeah never works mate 3 gun safe is really for 2 5 is for 3 8 is for 5 10 is for 8 16 is for 13 depends on your gun and attachments plus how far the blot sticks out. I use this guide as a general rule
Simple easy video to follow thank you so much it's not complicating like some videos talking about other things besides how to install the bipod 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
Good video. Helped me out a lot on the new Vokul bipod I got today for my .17 HMR. It of course came with no directions so I didn't know what I was doing. By the way, what is the little pull ring thing on the front of the bipod for? No clue. Thanks!
As a cautionary tale, do not completely undo the tension screw. I had one heck of a time screwing my tension screw back onto my rio rand bipod. Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much for doing a safety check on the rifle before working on it. I am so thrilled that I will not be shot through my phone screen today. That was absolutely necessary and I'm glad I wasted a minute of my life making sure that your gun would not hurt me.
This is the way they are designed to go on (hence the sling stud is at the rear). The reason is that if you push into the rifle (loading the bipod) the legs won't collapse as they fold the other way. It certainly can be installed the other way around if you are looking for a more slimline setup, but it isn't ideal.
Haven't experienced that happening before. I'm sure it's happened to someone. If you are loading the bipod well though, its not likely to occur. Used extensively on .300 win mags, and have seen them used on both .375 Cheytacs and .50BMGs without issue. With a cheaper brand, its probably more common, as the legs don't lock in so well, nor are the springs as tight. If you were going down a heavy recoiling rifle, there are more preferred options for bipods anyway.
before i even started this video, i looked in the comments to see if he put the bipod on backwards. seems like lots of videos on here, they are doing it wrong
Yeah they do but it is not practical because they have a drill press and they don't explain what type of hardware there using or anything. That is what i am most confused about actually what are the hardware pieces?

Excellent video, wasn't sure which direction the legs were suppose to fold since it could go either way. Thank you 10 years later.

Good video demonstration that also addressed the 'what happens to the sling' question. Thanks!
WAAAY more easy than I tough. Great simple and straightforward video. Thank you !

thank you so much I was almost thinking that my rifle couldn't have a bipod until this video 👍👍
Perfect tutorial. Thanks.
I'd like to see you make a video showing us how to fit 5 rifles into a 5 rifle safe.... just about impossible!
Tim Barrett yeah never works mate
3 gun safe is really for 2
5 is for 3
8 is for 5
10 is for 8
16 is for 13
depends on your gun and attachments plus how far the blot sticks out. I use this guide as a general rule
first step remove cup holder and torches off rifle now try that
Straight to the point, great video brother.

Awesome!! Short and to the point!! You rock!!

great video short and to the point
Fucking hell man I wish my bipod was this easy. I can’t find a single video about my style of bipod
I always thought those pegs was for shoulder slings after you mount a bipod. I only knew of picatinny mounts.
what specific model is this Harris bipod?
thank you for this video, really helped its exactly what i thought.
Perfect video. Thanks Stu.
Thank you for this video!

Gracias.
What specific model of bipod is it? Do you know
Easy peasy....thanks mate!
Thanks.
Wait which sling does he use? It attaches to sling studs and I'd like to use that. Pls respond someone
This is a buffalo river sling, but many brands offer that feature.
Mine is in pieces can you show me how to put it together?
hey what exactly type of bi pod and sling did you use?
+Southern Shooters alright cool, because my Remington 783 came with really small sling holes
Thanks legend
"My name is Stewt"
I have done that bit the bipod does not touch my rifle.
Does it matter which way the feet spring out? Seems like its backwards?
This is the way they are designed to go on (hence the sling stud is at the rear). The reason is that if you push into the rifle (loading the bipod) the legs won't collapse as they fold the other way. It certainly can be installed the other way around if you are looking for a more slimline setup, but it isn't ideal.
I was just thinking that the recoil from the gun would cause it to collapse, depending on the caliber of the rifle

Cool, thanks for your time and knowledge
simple enough

Do you have a link to the bipod? So i can order one😄👍🏼
Eirik Kipperberg scopedout.com.au/search?q=Harris
Impact Dynamics is it the "s serie" what is the different? Is it the same thing?
'This is the S series in the video. It has the ability to cant side to side. If you are on uneven ground, it allows you to level the gun out.
awesome
Trying to attach to a ruger american rem.223
Either can't spread the harris wide enough or the sling connection is too fat ?
before i even started this video, i looked in the comments to see if he put the bipod on backwards. seems like lots of videos on here, they are doing it wrong
Boys of fall
I have done very similar with Woodglut designs.
do all harris style bipods have the sling stud on the bipod to re-attach the sling?
alright that is good to know, thanks. Is the harris just a style or a brand?
ok, do y'all have a tutorial video on how to install the sling stud?
Im a bit hesitant to go drilling holes in my rifle my rifle.
Yeah they do but it is not practical because they have a drill press and they don't explain what type of hardware there using or anything. That is what i am most confused about actually what are the hardware pieces?
It is synthetic, polymer or something like that.
Thx :-)
