    You can get leg extensions for the Rugged Ridge. They install quick and easy. Weigh nothing. I keep them in my pack. They add enough length to use while sitting.

    Thanks for sharing this Brandon, this is the answer I have been looking for. As you all know by now I am getting a Long Range Hunter style rifle (8.4 lbs, adjustable muzzle brake, 26 in heavy sporter barrel) and have been wondering which bipod and size of bipod that I should get. I want something that I can rotate if need be and tilt also and something that I can shoot sitting or laying prone. Hard to have both as Brandon explained, but I like the idea of the longer legged bipod and I like how the Harris one deploys or retracts actually. Thanks again and good luck.

    The longer Harris is my preference. In Montana there are way too many scenarios for a short bipod. If your Harris is too long, throw down a pack and flip it from flat on its back to the side until you reach your desired height. You can always get a solid short rest with the clothes or pack you have with you. You can’t always see over the top of the grass or over the little knob between you and the bull. The longer is way more versatile out west. Just not nearly as fashionable

    This is probably a dumb question but here it is… Can you still attach a sling once you’ve mounted a bipod? I have a tikka t3 with the sling hole where the bipod would go.

      Yes, most bipods include a sling attachment point on the bipod itself. But you have to check and see.

    Is the matte bronze cerakote or something else?

    • @GOHUNT
      @GOHUNT  5 років тому +2

      Yes, that is correct! It is a custom cerakote Leupold scope.

    Resting on backpack instead of on the bipod wouldn't affect point of impact?

      LMAO! Are you planning on aiming at a different spot on the target using a backpack vs a tripod?
