Such a pretty scene. My sister's best friend lost her Japanese mom right before her 95th birthday in March, and she's taking her ashes back to Tokyo to spread this year among her favorite trees.
That's a great way to do it.
@@LIJ Yeah, she held on till after Covid so she could go home, tough old lady! Hope Josh's tooth waited till he came home, I was always afraid I'd lose them in school, too. No tooth fairy if it doesn't make it home!
Oh, such a bitter sweet memories. Your parents must be a big fan of life in Japan😊
Your Mom brings such curiosity and enjoyment of learning to everything she does. She is such a fabulous teacher.
She is :)
Wow, gorgeous views of Fuji and Sakura together. Also, I love grandpa’s Chosen shirt at the end there! I had the honor to be an extra in season 3, so the show is close to my heart.
Wow- very cool!!
What a sweet video, and what gorgeous views!!!! You are so blessed to live in such a beautiful area of the world. Thank you for this video.
Kiddos are all so adorable ❤ melt my heart🥰 and when Joshua said the saddest thing in the whole wild world is we can’t walk together on the first day. So precious ❣️
Thank you for a very lovely time!
Spring is a hectic time of year with children moving on, but you had a very special time!
I think people in the past who used the transition of cherry blossoms as a metaphor for life were romantic and philosophical😊
Cherry blossoms are really beautiful.
So beautiful Sakura🌸& your family❤
Bless you guys!!!! We are so glad you loved the box of goodies from down under :) ❤ always a huge fan! Keeping Rockin it out for Jesus in Japan guys!!
Hi everyone, amazing colours everyone looks great. And your lucky to have such blue sky. Its so wet back here. Have a great weekend
It honestly was cloudy/rainy 70% of the time, but the days that were nice we were able to take advantage of, which was great!
One of these days we'll never have to say goodbye again. Hallelujah.
I cannot believe how glorious their parks are... They are almost like what we would consider an arboretum here in the US, but they're just normal in Japan!! Lovely video, as usual, thank you from Minnesota! ❤️
enjoy sakura party! and also enjoy smell of kanto plains air in this spring season.
God bless your wholesome family and friends. It's always so nice to watch Life in Japan.
What an amazing trip so glad we got to see the family visit ❤ another great way to start a Friday morning!
Grandma is a hoot playing Mario Cart. Such precious moments, grandmas are the best.
The Sakura is spectacular, especially in combination with Mount Fuji! Amazing pictures for which we are really grateful! ☺ You could see the whole family including the grandparents had a great time together. They will remember their trip fondly. 😊
Yes- we will too!
Just found your family vlogs this week and am now binge dosing happiness. such a gift!
Aww- thanks for letting us know!
Cherry blossoms bloom for a short period of time and fall all at once when they fall. Like the samurai of old, when you fall, you fall without making excuses. It should not bloom for a long, long period. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate Easter with your parents during the cherry blossom season again this year. By the way, your children have a wonderful sense of balance. Let's look forward to next year's cherry blossom season.
It's always nice to see happy family like yours of the three generations! As I understand it, that sort of extended family is rare in the States but I think it deserves to rethink about its pros, although I know that sort of extended family, once not rare, is now diminishing even in Japan. Hopefully your family can create a new style of family life of three generations. It looks like worth challenging!
beautiful japan
Family ❤
Thank goodness for FaceTime these days! Also thank you for sharing this time that is obviously very precious family time.
How was that view of Mt Fuji though! Blessed to be alive.
I have left Japan to go back to China, and I regret that I did not go to the Paz church.I never made any friends in Tokyo, but if I could go to your church early, I believe I could make friends.
So wholesome and bittersweet 🌸🪽🌸Family and Sakura, is everything !👨👩👧👧👨👩👧👦.
Wow! The sky was so clear! Perfect weather to see Mount Fuji! 😁
Yes it was! Rare!
Beautiful!
Very nice! Yeah, Spring is FINALLY in swing here in Ohio! So many different trees are blossoming and there's tulips, and green grass and some of the big trees have those bright green Spring leaves! And the skies are blue! I've waited so long for Spring! It's my favorite time of the year! 🤩🤩🤩
Mine too - even more than Fall I think!
Your father and mother spent a great time in Japan this year.
And this year was very good season to come here for them.
But It was literally bitter time for your familiy to say goodbye each other.
You continue to bless our fam with great content!! Also just wanted to let you all know that we love adding Paz Church Worship to our watch list and the kids are just LOVING Paz Kids. Even though they are pandemic vids we're really enjoying moving through them all and they are still blessing folks! 🥰🙌🏽
Aww- that's great to know! Thanks!
It's so beautiful!! I hope heaven will have pretty Sakura's as well 🥰
And Izzy's parents are so cute spying on the balcony on her first day
Heartfelt. Thank you for this feeling))
I got to see the Sakura at peak bloom in Kyoto a few years ago and got to see them here in Washington, DC at peak bloom a few weeks ago- so pretty!!
Wow- Kyoto and Washington DC in the same year?!! That's epic
@@LIJ no, they were a few years apart, but it was neat to happen to see them in peak bloom at both locations (separately)
4:20😂😂😂thank you to sharing a wonderful video.
Indeed, this was a great Sakura year! 🌸🌸🌸 And I'm glad you all got to share the beautiful moments with your parents.
Joshua's cute song cracked me up, btw😂😂😂
Oh boy, that was epic !!👏
If you became such person that feels spring has never come yet without seeing Sakura, you'd have been called to have got Japanese sentiment. It's great that your parents seem to have been satisfied with Sakura. I hope they′ll enjoy the homeland of Japanese spirit, Kyoto, next time.
It would be awesome to see the Sakura in Kyoto, for sure!
Wish we had been live for the premiere!! But loved the beautiful Sakura again. It was unbelievable for all that time. Jesus is the creator of all things and wow! He outdid himself on that. Colossians 1: 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
It was so good having you here!
been watching you guys for so long! , i kinda grew up on ur videos and i feel like im part of the family haha
Love that!
Seeing Joshua without his front teeth brings back memories lol. I didn’t have front teeth for a big chunk of my childhood! But when I was around his age my smile looked just like that lol, just a big gap
Hey! I'd love an in-depth episode (if there's not one already) about the school system! In America, I'm familiar with a 3 month break in between school years. But in Japan it seems like there's maybe a week or two? Curious about when there's breaks and when new school years start! :)
Yes, it's about time for us to do another video on Japanese school system!
Saudades dessa família
Oh my gosh! I panicked when I saw the word finale! 😮. Thought it meant something else 😮💨
Ha ha- just of the Sakura, no worries
Nice place. Full support new friend
Aw thanks!
I think you guys should bring your parents to Japan as well!
Spring but it’s almost May then before is Golden Week Vacation Crowded people with tourists are back to that should be a next video meeting soon of the tourists to. Have a safe Golden Week don’t get lost in the Crowds. 👍⛩️🇯🇵📸
Best of luck to for the new school year!
I’m curious though, do the kids use Japanese and English in equal amounts? Or is one dominant over the others?
How are they at reading and writing English?
I think it’s great they’re learning bilingually
It depends on the situation, but they are perfectly comfortable in either language.
Sounds weird when you said "1 month later" like March for cherryblossoms sounds sooooo early. Here in Germany the cherry trees start blooming around middle of April to early May so I was like "wait what? March? Thats so early!"
They were mega early this year!
The way your dad said Sakura at 8:40 sounded more Japanese than English. (: Has he studied some? Or does he know a different language from English?
Yes, he knows Portuguese and is studying Spanish. It sure helps to be able to say other foreign words as well.
raising a wonderful Christian family.
Dear Life in Japan family do you live close to Yamanakako aria? We are heading there this Monday for retreat
We aren’t that close - but if you’re around Tokyo in a Sunday, please come by Paz Coffee Shop!
I've waited long for this episode to be posted, it's a great honor to have made my debut in the famous 'Life in Japan' video ! 🥰 Luckily I found myself from 2:43 to 2:50, when I met Nate-san, Ruth-san and Nate-san's parents in Showa Kinen Park on the 1st day of April ! I still feel excited when I recall the encounter ! I was so lucky ! 🤩🌸🏵🌷🌞🌳🌸
And I also sometimes visit the viewing spot of Mt.Fuji with cherry blossoms in spring season, it was the best timing about your visits to Showa Kinen Park & Mt.Fuji, because of the perfect blue sky I think ! 🌸🌞🌸
Last, I believe Nate-san's grandparents returned to America safely, and had a great time with 4 grandchildren while staying in Japan ! 💖🗾😄(I followed both on Instagram, btw.)
It was great meeting you! Thanks for introducing yourself to us there! I'm also glad you made the video :)
U S A I R F O R C E T A C H I K A W A A I R B A S E
