Hello Riri Travels. Today, i followed your Shibamata itinerary and I couldn’t be happier. Though I didn’t have time to include exploring the back of the tea house and Kasai Shrine, it was still the best time for me. At Yamamoto Tei was a time well spent. I also finished my trip with a hearty meal at Monzen Toraya. Thank you. I feel productive today. Tomorrow, i’ll do your Yanaka area itinerary. Wish me luck.
I'm so happy to hear that! Have the best time at Yanaka :)
Love the old retro vibe!!! Aloha from Hawaii...
Certainly the best video about Tokyo I saw for a while. Good job.
thank you ☺

Facsination of Tokyo is indescribable and beyond imagination
An old dagashiya, @2:00 . I don't have a sweet tooth but I love these, even more so having left japan. I spent 28 years in Japan. Your video makes me feel homesick.
Looks great, I'll visit some of these one day, especially shriens

Thank you for this delightful outing!
beautiful video, thanks to you I was able to take wonderful notes for my next trip.
thank you, i'm glad it has helped :)
This is what I remember from the late 1950s. In fact, reminds me of other mid-size towns and cities back then.
I'd love to travel there someday. Thanks for letting me daydream a bit to escape this sometimes tough world :)
So good just relaxing and wonderful to watch and listen to.

Hello from England ❤ thankyou for your content, I felt nostalgic at the beginning with the cigarette candy and pinball game I used to play on windows as a kid😂 I'm from the '90s too. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Beautiful places and thankyou for subtitles ☺️
Thank you for leaving me a comment ☺️ that brings me back to my childhood, and also spent alot of time playing with microsoft paint! I heard its been snowing in England, it must be beautiful there, stay warm ❤
@ririRegine thankyou so much, it is cold here, it's a shocking minus 6 degrees at 8.30am! It looks beautiful with the snow but the roads are terrible. I went to Japan January 2024 for ten days and I miss it so much and I want to go back one day, thankyou for your videos ❤️ happy new year
This is such a great video ~ it really shows the hidden gems of Tokyo as everyone is just showing the same places nowadays! thank you ❤
thank you so much ❤ there will be more hidden gems in Tokyo coming up
This is where you'll find an anime melancholy couple falling in love, like every scene is this.
Unfortunately, not a 90s baby. Might be even before that, but yes, still remember 3D pinball on windows, and a lot of the sweets did bring back some very fond memories!
Thank you!
It's like a different world when foreigners film. This area is famous for the movie "Otoko wa Tsurai yo"
I liked your channel so much
It will help me to make a joyful Tokyo trip plan❤❤❤❤
Appreciated:)
Greetings from İstanbul❤❤❤

Love your videos. 😍
thank you ☺
OMG, the pinball machines, such memories, here in Italy when I was a child let's say during late 60's and 70's every bar (coffee shops) used to have one or two, with a jukebox as well.I was born in 1964. Great clip Riri, bravo to you

I like watching your videos because they are inspiring and enjoyable to watch. Your video recordings are very good. What camera do you use?
thank you, I use an iPhone 16 pro
Good afternoon from România ,beautiful place.
Wow incredible ♥️ can recognize some neighborhoods (yanaka one). You captured the atmosphere really well.
What camera and lens you used here for filming ? I really like it.
thank you, I used my iphone 16 pro for this
I really enjoyed the video🎉 I love how things are the same all over the world and you don't even realize it. One of my favorite things is a scrambled egg sandwich🎉 my mom always served it to me on white bread with mayonnaise salt and pepper. Delicious🎉. I highly recommend it if you have an enjoyed it that way I'm going to try my next time with a little bit of mustard🎉. PS I think the best way of preparing scrambled eggs is in a microwave safe Bowl. I know it sounds crazy but if you try it once you'll be hooked. The thickest wonderfully fluffiest eggs you've ever had. The secret is let it get like a thick Patty stir it once in between. It will literally grow right in front of your eyes you just have to make sure it's fully cooked trust me anyone can do it🎉 my ex-girlfriend was a vegetarian it was her favorite🎉 have a great day🎉
😊😊🏆🏆
Wish to visit outstanding Japan some years
Yep I'm a 90's baby!
Great video, thank you! I will definitely put some of the spots on my list for my spring visit there. What month did you visit?

Yanaka Ginza shopping street near Nippori station is a classic non touristy place to see normal Japanese going about their shopping.
I wanna visit Tokyo
wich camera did you used?
🥰😍🤩😘
How did you get the grumpy proprietor let you film inside his sweet shop?! He has 'no photography' signs everywhere. Did he give you special permission during your visit?
@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 there aren’t any “no photography” signs at all? Is it a different shop you went to? I just went up to him and asked and he said ok
@@ririRegine Oh no, there were definitely signs last time I went there a couple of years ago. But I suspect that it was because you respectfully asked if it was okay to film rather than filmed as soon as you walked in that he was cool about it. It's amazing how far a bit of charm and politeness gets you in life, right? I love Shibamata. Also, Sepia cafe doesn't get enough love, it's such fun. What a charming area, you filmed it all so beautifully.
❤❤❤

Thankyou so much for your video , i love Shibamata and have been now 4 times, Yamamoto tei is so peaceful just to sit in the sun ,With the Tora san history laid there and the Toy museum with sweet shop im always enthralled with the Showa nostalgic feel there, Have not been to Yanaka but will try it out .
