- Hello everyone! In this video I"ll be showing you a 2011 Mercedes Benz GL450 4Matic. Still a nice vehicle all these years later, but the value of this car has reduced quite a bit compared to the price of it new. A fully loaded GL450 back in 2011 had a price range from 70-80K and now you can buy one for around 15K. What do you think about this car and would you considering buying one now that the price has dropped so much?

I've got a 2007. Still 100% great and perfect after 165K miles. Best car ever.
I think the 2012 GL450 is the best Mercedes I've ever driven. I'm looking forwards for the next opportunity to buy myself one.
2007 GL450. Now 164k.Everything works, Loads of room in the 3 rows of seats. Replaced front air shocks, repainted left rear fender (clearcoat was coming off) and the occasional light bulb. Looks great, pleasure to drive. I use liqui-moly in the engine coolant and oil (just me). Highly recommend Michelin tires. Cons: uses premium and gets 14-18 mpg.
Paid 15k for my GL 450 2012 in February 2022 with 137k on the dash..Hasn’t given me any issues at all….Took it to dealership for regular diagnostic and was quoted $6k for for repair work with 144k on the dash..The appraisal value in Clean condition is only 11k…Video is correct great truck if you can afford it ..☕️
It you buy the parts and go to an indie mechanic it will be 2k tops. Dealerships give high repair costs on old cars as their way of telling you they don't want to work on them. They only want to service new cars. Ask them they will probably be up front
The one here has biggest motor and trans company made for going into Gl-450 I’ve been in it we were over 120 and didn’t feel like it , it’s nickname here is the tank , the protection it it is amazing and they really built this thing
I found a 2010 Mercedes GL550 AWD for $6500 with 187k miles. I'm not even going to bother lol. I wouldn't be able to afford the maintenance.
originall i went in for a dodge ram but it was being serviced at a different location. seen one of these and decided to test drive it, its mint and good mileage. Super comfortable ride and great size for the family, looking forward to this purchase.

The repair shop is who really kills these cars 🚗, they are reliable I own one over 12 years and it’s still running like it’s brand new but what spend on it to keep on the road could have got me a brand new car cash” this is what killing this car as a brand in America, you can sell this car for even 3000$ and you would still find a lot of people still won’t buy it because of it’s high repair cost 😢
I love my W164 2011 GL450.
335hp 7speed auto... 0-60 in under 7 seconds... and tows 7500 pounds. Our 2010 has 160k and has been flawless... still looks new.
The market has everyone scared of these vehicles but I've never seen much to complain about with this generation. A good independent repair shop is definitely a must if your not mechanically inclined to do at least the fluid and filters but the pros definitely outweigh any cons one would have with this model
An 80,000 dollar car that is sold for 15,000 still has maintenance bills related to it's original price. That is why they depreciate so much - people can't afford the maintenance outside of the warranty. Buy it only if you can afford the upkeep.
Well you said what I could not. I will agree the cost of fixing a car like this is more than the average person can afford. Beautiful vehicle and great price for someone that has the money to keep up with the maintenance etc. thx for the comment JMV FRVA!
