Dude. Im donating. been looking for something like this for years. now i have the audio seperated from my call of duty game play videos easily. they have the coolest sounds on that game.
I couldn't figure out how to get youtube audio recorded on Cakewalk so I can play and record my e drums to it. Came to this video and you mentioned loopback, so I set the input on my Scarlett 4i4 to Loop 1 or 2 or 1 and 2 and bingo! Works perfectly. Thanks very much.
Thanks! The software worked for me and I was able to record some stuff off UA-cam and into Cubase for an important potential gig. I found the explanation a tad lacking and confusing though, as he doesn't explain how the program routes things so well... But, he DOES tell you the "what to do" part, which is the most important. So the end result was success, though I still don't have a good understanding of the routing.
Thanks man! I could never take the few mins to finally wire up everything tight. I'm quite embarrassed being a producer and not figuring it out myself. Happens to the best of us! So helpful and on point! Didn't realize about the A1-A3 being able to send the input around on the top right, plus have not noticed the AUX Virtual ASIO Device in my FL Studio! That's all I was missing there.
finally a solution to my issue. wanted to stream drums on twitch with my daw and streamlabs but the audio from spotify was always a few milliseconds late on the audio feed. Thank you so much
Hey guys, I done did everything (except routing to stereo in my daw because I didn't see the option) It works!! but it is very glitichy. I set up the b2 and a1 correctly(i'm on windows 10). Anyone have this problem before? and how could it be resolved?
Not one videos is clear how to record the audio from your interface in voice meter banana without a feedback loop. I’ve done everything and can’t figure that part out. Got audio everywhere but just a feed back look while recording in real time. Problem also is obs isn’t recording pro tools audio but picking it up
My settings are as same as yours. And I can hear the audio from streaming platform perfectly. My question is i put FLUX stereo tool on the track and it showed the audio is MONO but my ears told me It's definitely stereo, whats going on??
Great video. I am using Studio One and can get what you demonstrate working, but I can't seem to then get anything routed through my interface to record on my mics. I am recording a podcast so I need mics and PC audio recorded at the same time. Any ideas?
It depends on what interface you have and what you are trying to do. If your interface has Loopback I'd just use that. Have you seen this video The ULTIMATE Guide To Screencast Your DAW - Voicemeeter Potato & OBS/Streamlabs ua-cam.com/video/Dr9kF9yRQ74/v-deo.html It might give you some ideas of other ways you could use Potato to route audio
@@BenoniStudio hi does does this voice meeter banana tutorial help edison record more clearly with asio4all if dont understand me ill try to be more specific please reply me i would really appreciate it
Excelent Video! So clear to explain it. You solve me a huge amount of problems with this, and is so useful for many purposes. Thanks you ! Greetings from Chile
Thanks for this tutorial. When you playback what you have recorded in your DAW is it better to switch to proper manufactured ASIO driver (I use Focusrite) otherwise the sound is a bit crackling, is it correct in your opionion or is there a workaround? thanks so much again
did everything in the video. I keep getting "Could not complete your request because Pro Tools could not set sample rate to specified value" whenever I try to access one of my sessions after selecting my playback engine.
@@BenoniStudio I got the same error. Then I turned off pro tools, made sure my hardware out was the ASIO in Voicemeeter, then made sure to left click and change to Voicmeeter input down in the bottom right (from his earlier instruction in the video regarding the speaker icon). It seemed doing those two things fixed the problem for me. Haven't had the problem since.
I have a little bit more of a technical thng that I THINK loopback recording can do. Basally , I want to record guitar on my daw. I lay down the track, record it. Then I add effects to it. THEN I want to be able to record me manipulating the effects in REAL TIME...... To my DAW. So that I can have a track (rendered) of me manipulating the effects in real time (like delay for example). Can loopback recording do that?
Yes, loopback can do that. I always recommend loopback or using two interfaces. This video is for those without 2 interfaces or an interface that includes loopback.
@@BenoniStudio Oh awsome. I have a pretty big audio interface so I can always route outputs to imputs and such. I also just figured out that I can record just automation. So I think I got it covered. Sorry.. Total FL studio newb here lol
If you are new to streaming with an audio interface, you may be interested in loopback. Loopback is built-in to some audio interfaces/drivers and makes it easy to route audio in to a DAW or out to OBS for streaming. This video is for those who don't have an interface with loopback or don't want one. But loopback will make your life easier. Many interfaces include loopback, here's an example: PreSonus Universal Control Loopback - Record Computer/UA-cam Audio Into Your DAW ua-cam.com/video/Eq6Pjrd6vss/v-deo.html PreSonus Universal Control Loopback - Record DAW ASIO Audio into OBS/Streamlabs ua-cam.com/video/B0wLEzyJf-U/v-deo.html EVO 8 LOOPBACK - Record Computer Audio Into a DAW ua-cam.com/video/-G52v_8RS64/v-deo.html EVO 8 LOOPBACK - Stream/Record Your DAW ua-cam.com/video/PBFwOqb6Bew/v-deo.html Again, you don't have to necessarily get these exact interfaces, there are others like the Gen3 Focusrite Scarletts that also have loopback.

Hi - Right I followed it as closely as I could. Inputs etc all set up. When I click monitor I see the track monitored in VM Banana AOK. However, after recording, when I playback there's just silence? So I swapped my Playback Engine back to my AI (Focusrite Solo) and the track comes through but there's a lot of crackling? It's annoying as every time I want to swap Playback Engine it has to shut and reopen the project. Must be some simple way to listen back what I've just recorded and I'm being dumb? Any hints appreciated! And also any idea on the crackling would be useful. It seems to be the track recording with the crackle issue - if I listen this video it's AOK so can't be speakers/headphones. PS my goal is to record Spotify tracks into a DAW and me playing guitar along to them. That’s all I’m after really! :)

is it posible in focusrite?

Thank You

Better than the other videos but still couldn't do it ahhhhhhh
lol
The best way to do this today is with an audio interface that has loopback built in. You'll save yourself a ton of trouble.
Simple, you made it pretty complicated though.
