You have made my life so easy mate. I had abandoned the idea of recording my DAW long time back because even after downloading those midi cables and whatnot, I was still unable to route the audio into OBS. Extremely thankful to you.
Great help, thank you. Much easier to understand than the Banana plugin. I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but instead of adding the Gain VST as an OBS filter, add a Noise Gate VST and set the open threshold all the way up to 0db. This will completely remove the mic signal from being picked up instead of needing to add multiple gain plugins.
This is a great tutorial, very clear and well explained. I had some issues come up but here is the solution which worked for me: Make sure you have the same sample rate in OBS, Ableton and your OS (go to sound settings) - then turn on "allow desktop apps to access your microphone". This fixed the issues commented
I've been trying to find a solution to this for YEARS thank you
i waited 5 years for this. thank you so much!
My pleasure Jimmy 🙂
I've been through so many tutorials and this is by far the best approach I've found! Simple and clean
🙌🏼
@@AdilConstantineMusic I was following along and out of nowhere, you lost me at "ableton" not sure what that is. I'm going to finish watching but this is all new to me. Do I need to download something called Ableton?

Bro you just straight up walked me off the ledge. So many videos out here claiming to have solved this problem but NONE of them worked for me. I've spent 4 hours out of my life today trying this again, and it took 10 minutes for you to nail it for me. Appreciate you fam!
Haha man trust me it took me a lot of digging and trying different things. When I discovered this I knew I was not alone and had to share.
Bro, this was a legendary video! The most straight forward explanation and helpful AF man. SERIOUSLY APPRECIATE IT!!!
Also remember to ARM A TRACK so that you can hear youself... This was very helpful!!!
Followed to the letter, did everything like in the video.....and it worked!!!!! thanks so much.
Awesome! Glad to hear it and thank you for coming back and commenting 🙏❤️
Hey man, maybe u know how to set up the mic ? Cus here he is showing how to overuse not how to set the mic in obs.
Mine sucked on discord. Not sure if I need to connect obs to discord or something
I cannot express enough gratitude for this. I have tried every other thing I could find and worked on this since 2019 and never found a good solution. This is effective, simple, and free. Thanks!
Thank you, glad to hear it :)
You sir have earned a sub!! I tried everything to get my DAW to work in streamlabs and had no luck and within 5 minutes you got me streaming my recording sessions, thank you !!
My pleasure, and thanks for the sub :)

Nick Reid haha been there 😅 glad you found it helpful 🙌🏼
Of all the tutorials I saw, you are the most simple. Thank you!
YOU SIR ARE A LIFE SAVER! THANK YOU! I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS NOW WITH THIS ISSUE. THANK YOU!
For those not getting "reaplug-standalone" to appear in the VST 2.0 menu in OBS please make sure that the dll is installed in any of the following folders:
C:/Program Files/Steinberg/VstPlugins/
C:/Program Files/Common Files/Steinberg/Shared Components/
C:/Program Files/Common Files/VST2
C:/Program Files/Common Files/VSTPlugins/
C:/Program Files/VSTPlugins/
Reaplugs was installed to my Cakewalk VST Plug ins which is NOT searched by OBS. Other DAWS may install to a different folder but all you need to do is copy the reaplug dll to one of the folders I listed above. Hope this helps some!
THANK YOU BRO
Thank you very much, you're comment fixed my issue
im still having problems doing this... any other advice?

Funny I was just thinking the same thing.
This was literally the only way I was able to get a super quality sound or any sound if that from Studio one into OBS streamlabs for Facebook live! I have to set the DAW to Windows sound card in the properties to separate the interface mic audio. But I'm so glad I found this. I downloaded virtual cord and voice meter none worked but this VST.
You are the ONLY one that I've found that said how to remove the mic input to OBS. You are really awesome. I can't thank you enough. The like it's TOTALLY deserved.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it and glad you found it helpful :)
Spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to get OBS reading from a Focusrite Scarlett Solo *output*. Thank you Adil for explaining this, thank you Reaper for making this brilliant plugin, thank you OBS for supporting VSTs and thanks for nothing Focusrite for not making this easy.
Thank you :)
It never worked with that Banana software and induced a huge latency. Your way absolutely worked easily! Thanks!
Glad to hear it man
Totally agree
I've watched so many videos trying to get this to work with my virtual ASIO. and as soon as you said VST it was an instant Forehead moment. VST on the master track. brilliant. thank you!
This was so helpful man! Appreciate it. Was using streamlabs for a hot minute, but that kept messing up the audio capture, glitches, distortion etc. This way is clean! game changer, you got my sub
Thanks dude! Yeah SLOBS performance is not that great and eats up too much CPU in comparison to OBS or OBS Live. Appreciate the sub 🙏🏼
If you have issues with this, make sure in the OBS input properties you set it to your interface instead of default incase you don't have it set to default for whatever reason, I had this issue.
How do I do this ? I do not know my way around obs at all :)
thank you! Gabe. That was the issue
Did not work with audio at 48k sampling rate, however when switched to 44.1k (both in ableton and obs), like suggested in the comments below it worked a treat! Many thanks (also for the support through the comments) :-)
I think the key is that they both use same rate. Glad it’s working :)
@@AdilConstantineMusic both 48k not working
siiiiiiiiiii 44 es la solucion
This seems to have fixed my issue too thanks a bunch, was getting no output in discord at all with it being 48 in obs
Thank you for the idea, at 48K i get popping and what sounds like a buffer limit issue, at 44.1K it works like a charm!
Dude you saved my life. Been going crazy trying to figure out a decent setup for some livestream drum sessions...you saved me. Thank you so much brother!
Glad to hear it man! Happy Streaming :)
I've watched hours of videos on how to get the audio from my DAW to OBS with no success. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. REAplugins seem to be the magic ticket.
I did as well till I found the magic ticket. Thank you for watching, glad you found it helpful :)
Hey! For anyone having an issue with the Reastream plugin in OBS not picking up audio from your DAW, I found a solution which worked for me at least: When you create an 'Audio Output Capture' withing your scene in OBS, you can choose an audio device, by default it's set to 'Default'. You want to change that to another recording device which you WON'T be using, for me I used 'Stereo Mix'. Add the VST2 effect onto that and some reason it magically works! Hope this helps anyone else who is having this issue! =)
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
@@AdilConstantineMusic And thanks for the tutorial, was super simple to get it all working nicely (Aside from that one issue) All the best!
It seems to be working for me too. Thank you so very much 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I did every suggested method from comments here to reddit, sample rates, opening OBS first, firewalls... nothing worked! Is there any real solution?
@@user-xs6vl7gr9w I actually recently found a better solution that worked for me - sometimes the restream plugin is a bit janky so what worked is a plugin called win-capture-audio. Essentially allows you to choose your audio source from a specific program and that works pretty well for me so far.
Hey I got the audio into my OBS but its crackling really badly. I even tried to mess with my buffer settings but nothing seemed to work
It sounds like it might be CPU load issue. Also according to OBS, make sure to use the same sample rate everywhere in your audio software, external sound card and OBS settings. Preferably 48KHz but 44.1KHz is fine too (and a bit lighter for your CPU).
OSB has sampling defaulted to 48, but most DAWs do best at 44.1. To change go to setting under File menu, select Audio and change Sample rate, 1st on the list. That fixed it for me.
@@AdilConstantineMusic i have everything set to 48 Khz system sounds to OBS , to ableton still when i stream there is heavy stuttering.
SO i tried everything since morning my entire day got wasted fixing this bug but did not happen, i changed everything from 44 khz to 48 , changed samples, changed fps in OBS , changed stream thruput, restarting etc. . Nothing seems to be working at all, the sound comes choppy, breaking as if its facing signal loss every 100 ms. The sound seems perfect to me on OBS when i monitor, only happens when i stream and viewers see on insta as sound problem. I even tried banana / VAC but was too complex and of no use.
My setup :
1. Komplete kontrol m32 midi
2. Ableton live 11 (Thru which im trying to monitor and produce both midi and mic outputs)
(2.5) Using your suggested ReaPlugs
3. OBS & Tried streamlabs as well (no luck)
4. M-Audio M track duo x2 interface
5. Yellow Duck for broadcasting on insta
Do you know where or what could possibly go wrong ?

Hey guys, I've just figured it out that somehow OBS only regconises plugins from location C:\Program Files\VstPlugins. So try to move your desired plugins there ;)

after 4 hours of search, your two video help me ! thanx a lot dude
reastreamm is litterally not working in OBS
followed everything step by step, and reastream is not receiving any signal
try these:
- Make sure you are using the same sample rate (44.1Khz or 48KHz) in your audio software and OBS (Settings > Audio tab)
- Right click the Audio input capture, open "Properties" then select another input device. For some reasons, it might not work with some devices (especially the "Default" one).
- In ReaStream in your audio software, replace * local broadcast by 127.0.0.1. It is a special IP address saying "this very own computer".
- Try changing to another identifier in both OBS and your audio software. Sometimes, just clicking in the Identifier field and hitting "Enter" can re-instanciate the plugin an make it work.
This method used to work for me until very recently.... man, I'm so tired of chasing a solution... anyways, back to square one (this shouldn't be this complicated, for chrissake
