    Compare Freshly with Cook Unity?

    • @FoodBoxHQ
      @FoodBoxHQ  3 роки тому +2

      Good comparison to make! They're both pre-made meal delivery services but definitely differ in a lot of ways. CookUnity tastes like a restaurant meal whereas Freshly feels more like a home cooked meal. So it depends on what you're looking for in terms of taste. However, Freshly just updated their service to now include "Freshly Fit" which includes more diet-specific meals. CookUnity does have some diet meals (for example keto, low carb, high protein) but I wouldn't recommend them to someone who was on a specific diet. We're looking into reviewing the new Freshly Fit meals soon :).

    It’s a little concerning that you were able to handle the meals just fine with your hands and it didn’t look frozen when you put it in the microwave. I use megafit meals and they come frozen which is nice because they’ve been delivered before where I cant get to them until I get off work. They use dry ice and you can only really touch the meal long enough to put it in your freezer. You thaw them out over night as needed a night or 2 before you wanna cook em.

    sooo. 6 meals for $60+. so u dont get 7 for all 7 days. so u gotta still find food the 1 day. and they give u one meal per day. WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER MEALS FRESHLY. i can literally go get frozen stoffers lasagna or enchiladas for like $15 and eat that for 2-3 days. freshley a no go

    I ordered two weeks worth of meals (6 each week). Then canceled. I am amazed at the positive reviews. Small portions and looks and tastes like vomit on a plate. Seriously.

    Unfortunate that they don’t provide vegetarian options. I don’t eat meat except occasional fish so I will have to look at other services.

    Would these meals actually fill up an athletic 30 year old male?

      You may want to check out Factor Meals instead. They’re geared more to athletes. Also a taste great plus they have more diet specific options.

    How is this any different than an overpriced TV dinner?

    • @FoodBoxHQ
      @FoodBoxHQ  3 роки тому

      These aren’t frozen, they’re cooked right before being sent to you and refrigerated. I’ve found them to taste better and use better ingredient. Definitely not as cheap as frozen TV dinners though.

      That was my take. I only liked 2 out of the 6 meals I ordered, and none of them tested fresh. Also way too much sodium.

    Hm, no. Costs way more than comparable frozen stuff and feels like eating other people's leftovers. Ick... (Didn't like Gobble, either, for that reason.) I wish these reviews were less like marketing script and more actual, comprehensive reviews, especially in the context of all other options (like buying a frozen meal at a store.)

      The video reviews are really just so people can get a sense of what the box/meals are like, cooking, and taste test. Most people asked us to keep the video reviews short and to the point (5 minutes or less). We go super in-depth on our blog. Feel free to check it out - foodboxhq.com/reviews/freshly/

    That’s a joke! not only is it a small portion but if you have to purchase your meals already made you may as well give up. What’s going to happen to the children of the future when parents don’t even teach him how to cook!
