it's a very nice bike. I rode mine through Europe this january (Kiel-Alicante mostly near the coast) and 7-800km pr day was no problem. (I had to change some parts in Germany so used a few days extra). Had the Ducati Scrambler before, and this is absolutely it's much bigger brother in all respects..... it comfortably makes above 200km/h and bellow 3.5 on 0-100... so it's a comfortable fun bike, while a beast in disguise!
The Boxex Engine is what makes the r9t have “the twitchy feeling” because of how the motor is configured as you lean into the corner and give it throttle the Boxer wants to pull the bike the other way, of course there is much more science behind this but this is the most simple explanation. 😊 I love my r9t scrambler. Great video 😁
can you please explain this in a more detailed and plausible way? I am thinking of getting a Boxer BMW pretty soon and have heard about this phenomenon but no one could explain it to me sceintificaly plausible
You’re 100% right on weight. Scramblers in the 60’s and 70’s were very light weight and that makes them really fun on dirt, unfortunately, they were horrible on faster highways. Nowadays, people want the scrambler look but they want it as a primary bike as a daily road bike and that requires weight. Light weight bikes on highways are not fun and confidence inspiring. This is why many of us have multiple bikes. 😀
more weight; more height is more distance to fall; and harder to fall with no control- imo. the bmw 750gs is too heavy and tall for me if your dodging other crazy drivers.
3:44 This is the one I would have. I agree with you. I think weight adds to the feeling of stability. What I like about flat twins is the weight is so low, it feels like it locks you to the road. I had an R1100GS for 92,000 miles. The most stable bike I have had.
You should see excitement of new BMW in my garage after I crash with wife on m6 this summer our k1600. I have never heard such many words spell in second. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Mine is a 2017, same color as yours. Except mine has spoke wheels. I’d ridden by GSAs for years. My last bike was a KTM 690 Enduro R. This is a helluva lot different! I’m 71 years old now, and my days technical , single track enduros is over. This bike is so little and low, I love it!
I am surprised to even be considering any motorcycle but I am in love with this Scrambler. I really enjoyed how the commentator said it is good for any season. That is the type of bike that I need, a bike for all seasons.
Great review. Changed bike loads of times in the past couple of years, including a Tiger 900, GS 1250, Aprilia Tuono, Ducati Scrambler...I now have a little Fantic 500 scrambler that I adore. It is amazing around town but less good for long distances. I still love the Rnine t but have never tried the scrambler version. I would try one but I live in the Paris region and the speed limits are stupid, 18mph and 35mph on most others. You have tempted me though😂
I really love your videos, you come across as a really genuine person, and all of your videos are great but you can really see your sense of humor and humanity in your build videos with jonesy, happy days
The exhaust is slight on a softer note, but on it's stock exhaust, removing the cables for the exhaust flapper does help to increase the exhaust noise a little if it helps!
I love The exhaust flapper. Makes it nice and quiet around my neighbours but still gives of a big vroom when I wrench the throttle when going on the on ramps
You are refreshing . Thank you. Your review was informative, and your comments and questions were helpful to someone trying to reenter the motorcycle world. I enjoyed your style.
I relate to your description of "something between custom heritage and technology". A friend of mine has one, but I didn't know the model until I went into a BMW shop (Melbourne) yesterday and saw it - a work of art really. I haven't owned a bike for many years, but this could be it ;-). I've driven a lot of outback miles in a 4WD in central Australia, but I'd like to try it on a bike. The feeling you describe when accelerating out of a corner sounds like the torque effect you get from the shaft drive with an longitudinal crankshaft. In any ICE motor, the flywheel is there to smooth out the balance between the translational (piston) and rotational (crankshaft) forces - but it's never perfect, like when you need to find the sweet spot in the vibrations on a long trip. I've experienced the torque effect on an old girlfriend's Moto Guzzi - at rest if you tweak the throttle, you'd feel the bike rolling slightly, and when moving the shaft effect out of a corner. Thanks for the review. 🙂
Thank you so much!!! This was a very good and informative review. Love it and I’m thinking on a Ducati scrambler o an r9 t scrambler so your review was perfect. ❤
Miss, you are trying to say is, that the R nine t has character, its a beast, it has grunt! I have the scrambler version, its a beast of a bike, but really way to heavy to safely scramble off road. The reason is that if that beast fell on top of you, it would hurt more than a lot!!
Cool review and you too. I have 3 bimmers 1962 R69S, 2005 GS, and my reliable but worn 2002 R1150R - I’d like to retro it! Hope your sponsor sells lots of riding jeans! New sub!

IT IS BETTER IN THE WIND ! Thank´s for your honest review and come to visit Austria :-) !!!
R9T (actually a scrambler, but all of them has only a minor differences) reminds me my Ural, it's wide and heavy. The weight / performance ratio is big what allows to bike accelerate very fast, but it's still feels heavier

Good review! Test rode a gorgeous 719 option. I LOVED the look of the bike. Unfortunately I felt like a bear riding a football. I ended up with a R1250R HP. I added windshield, hardside bags and topper and now have a kind of RT light. Easily convertible to naked, but handy with the bags. I still wish I had bought the R9T if for no other reason than the art of the motorcycle. I will keep my eyes open.

Your height, 1.75 m is exactly the same as mine as I'm 5' 7" tall. I was going to ask how tall you were as Beemers are usually quite high. Saved me asking the question.
Very impressive. This will probably be my next bike. I currently ride a ZX6R. Looking to dive into the cafe racer type of scene now that I have grown a bit. Still love the ZX6R, but this would be a great daily and city ride bike. $14,000 UDS is reasonable as well.

The mention of it being too heavy, I think, is for it's off road performance but then again, all scramblers off road abilities are going to be questioned. It's a cool bike.

This bike looks amazing. I passed my test 10 years ago but have never got around to buying a bike. Back then, my favourite bike was the Nine T. This is even better. The only question is where do you put your things, like your camera or your bread and milk when you go shopping?
I am not sure there is an English word for that, to me it feels like a racehorse enthusiastically propelling you forward in an adrenalin rush, the low center of gravity makes it feel like that I think
Porsche 911 is closest car to a motorcycle. German word is like drommeln (?) or something, referring to the special rear grip out of corners in a 911. Very special feeling when you get it, like an autocross!

The entire bike is about simplicity. Classic forms, old school motoring. Why the saddle would be different? I personally find it perfect fit with the character of the bike.
@@r.g.2095 First of all! Thank you for sharing your thought with me. Yes, you are right about this type of bike, it is nice to see different and beautiful models since it has been specially redesigned. I wish the saddle was a little wider and bigger in proportion to the fuel tank, that's just my point of view.
totally agree with you..as you said from the front good looking but when i see the bike front of me i was thinking twice before buying.. maybe its because they dont upgrade the dashboard
@@saintjr4573 It can be personalized upon receipt, but why not want to customize a new model bike! It can be done after you buy it and use it for a while.
A 'scrambler' with low pipes is not a scrambler, Look at one of the originals like a 1972 CL350. Put some decent off 50/50 tires on it and you could do trails. Add a bash plate and those trails could be pretty gnarly.
I love Triumph 1200 XL. The only thing that makes R Nine T slightly closer to my heart I’d a boxer engine and that twist I was talking about in the video. It gives it more character.
That’s not gonna happen. My Sportster is my Sparrow. Never ever considered to trade it for any bike or any money. I hope I’ll never have to . I didn’t even when I was in debt and bankrupted, when I couldn’t afford a car I still kept my bike.

@@saintjr4573 It can be personalized upon receipt, but why not want to customize a new model bike! It can be done after you buy it and use it for a while.
Most sexiest look I always see it like this
A 'scrambler' with low pipes is not a scrambler, Look at one of the originals like a 1972 CL350. Put some decent off 50/50 tires on it and you could do trails. Add a bash plate and those trails could be pretty gnarly.
Lovely video besides loud music
Great video! What riding boots are those?
Those are BMW Motorrad Riding Boots. Love them. Very comfy and waterproof.
The most beautiful hands I ever seen!!
L'ho avuta per un giorno, non vedevo l'ora di restituirla.
Why do I find it sounds familiar to bmw f800r?😅
Best RnineT Video I´ve ever seen :)
Oh Waw!! Thank you 🙏🏻
why not take the triumph scrambler 1200 xc for a trip around the world
I love Triumph 1200 XL. The only thing that makes R Nine T slightly closer to my heart I’d a boxer engine and that twist I was talking about in the video. It gives it more character.
Was there a motorcycle in this video? What is her name and what nationality is she? I am in love.
don't even Think about it.
@@mingli2814 Unfortunately, thinking about it is all I can do. 😀
So, are you willing to sell your Sportster to buy the BMW?
That’s not gonna happen. My Sportster is my Sparrow. Never ever considered to trade it for any bike or any money. I hope I’ll never have to . I didn’t even when I was in debt and bankrupted, when I couldn’t afford a car I still kept my bike.
@@tomboyabit Good Girl.! Aesthetically the BMW does nothing for me and due to ergonomics I cannot ride most bikes. Even the Harley Road King does not allow me to lift my legs of the floorboards. When I sit in the seat it's like my legs are parallelized. Someone has made me an offer on my bike and I just may take it.!
Really nice jacket :)
Thank you. One of my favourite! 😃
I like You......and I don't think about motorcycles only...this bike is interesting 🤔one .I visited BMW dealer .... although my favorite is naked bike.
I was lucky to ride 1250 R in Italy too. Great choice Robert. 👊
Stunning bike
🙌
My 20 S1000XR is too quiet also.
Lovely bike. But I still prefer the RS.
How tall are you? I feel like I might be too short for this bike
Aaahh a girl with real taste!!💯👍🏽
🙏🏻👊
How much does such a bike costs?
hello there!....nice video , !......what helmet do you wear here?
Hey, I’m wearing Ruroc Atlas
There is something about this bike that just looks out of place. Too long and fork rake looks too much. It looks strange. I'll check it out once it's been redesigned.
its a flat twin thing 3 and 4s dont dont it
gorgeousness
Cheer up Jimmy.
how about the Voge 500AC... love this retro style too. #Vogeph
Why scrambler? It is not. Once again, the marketers are at work. Will it scramble? No, but will the name help to sell? YES!
That bike does so suit you 🔥❤️x
Too much 😅
@@tomboyabit never to much 🤣x
okay, after 4dayz with TvNews channels 🙈 , it’s time for entertainment with TomboyTV 😁👍🏿
