Hey guys hope you enjoyed us revisiting a live track from the Pulse Tour, what are other essential tracks to check out from Pulse?! Let us know down below! Have a great day friends! 😁
David, Richard, Nick and Friends did this track live in concert in Hamburg in 1989, it just came back to me after 30 years ! The power of music memory, heh ? I think you both know by now what I would like to hear from you guys from Queen, but also from Pink Floyd's last combined live concert in London, 2005, with all former members present. Watch it and get blown away ! Thanks again for your good work !😜
Like Alan Peterson said, all of them. But if I had to choose just 12 😬 they would be SOYCD, One Of These Days & the entire DSOTM. Promise I’d watch & hit the like button on each of ‘em. p.s. Learning To Fly, too.
My husband got me the pulse DVD for Christmas, have to say there’s not a bad one on there. My little grandson loves Run like hell, he runs around pumping his little fists yelling RUN!! I’m starting his training early!
One Of The Best There Are Better Bands Like Queen But I respect your Opinion They have Awesome songs Like Run Like Hell, Have A Cigar, Outside The Wall, Comfortably Numb Put Im Going With Queen
It brings a big smile on my face and in my soul to see you guys (and other youngsters) enjoy the music from the 70s. Especially the greater ones that meant soooo much to us who were born in the sixties. Keep it up!!!
Pink Floyd. Mesmerizing, aren't they? Saw them back in 1988, and I saw spots for 2 days afterward.😊 Amazing light show. David Gilmour is one of the cleanest, most melodic, and amazing guitarists in the world, and he's an excellent singer.
I Saw them in 1988 too. As I recall this was towards the end of their "Momentary Lapse of Reason" tour. The Venue was the Los Angeles Coliseum. Stellar show.
Pulse is a great show but for me, to listen to pink Floyd you have to listen to them original album by original album. Your not getting Roger Walters on base and vocals and other mad cap instruments he played. The albums are how we are meant to here them.
You guys look mesmerized...exactly like I was when I first listened to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" back in 73 or 74. I have been somewhat mesmerized by them ever since. One of my favorite groups from a time where there were a lot of artists whose work will live on forever. Nothing compares with 60's and 70's music.
Yup. From about 1:37 to 2:30, they were motionless -- I had to look for eye blinks to make sure my WiFi hadn't stalled the video. Both reviewers were displaying what I think of as "the Pink Floyd face." I'm a 67-yr-old bassist. Guy Pratt is the reason I have a fretless 5-string in my modest stable. Until "Pulse" came out, I'd always played it on a 4-string Fender. When I heard "Comfortably Numb" from "Pulse" for the first time, I got goosebumps from the opening Bm chord. I got to see Guy speak at a bassists' forum. He tells the story of bugging Gilmour to sell Pratt a 1962 Jazz Bass, the model with the stacked volume & tone pots, for as much as (while admittedly kinda hammered) $50,000. Gilmour kept turning him down, but apparently remembered Pratt's wish. When Pratt married Gilmour's daughter, that became a wedding gift, accompanied by a "Welcome to the family."
Everything on Pulse is brilliant, but High Hopes is my favourite. But, and this is very important, pick a 60fps upload. Because for some reason all other uploads of the song have very poor audio quality (in some cases even the wrong pitch). So search for "Pink Floyd High Hopes Pulse 60fps".
I love that you acknowledged Guy Pratt's talents. He is amazing. I saw him live with Nick as well and he was just great. You should be doing High Hopes next. That is just an amazing live version. Keep on rockin'!
I saw this show my senior year of high school. It was the second night at the old Cleveland Stadium. Never forget it. Pink Floyd = Timeless. I was on the field and still have my PF seat cushion. It's awesome seeing younger generations get into this music.
Pink Floyd takes you to another dimension!!!! I absolutely love how they have embraced technology and evolved. If you listen to some of their first and early obscure albums, you would not believe it is the same group. Definitely on my top favorites list along with The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath. I am 65 years old now but grew up in a very poor working class neighborhood. I can remember listening to music as a young person with good friends being something affordable and swapping albums of the time to enjoy. I still can geek out for hours with this pleasure.
My first exposure to Pink Floyd was about 30 seconds of the intro to this song on my summer holiday. It was enough for me to buy the Delicate Sound of Thunder double cassette (Yes, I'm that old) on the drive home.
I was there and this closed the show. we were all carried along on the Pink Floyd wave and we all floated out of there. The best concert I've ever been to or seen no question.
I saw them on the Pulse Tour at Western Springs in NZ and after what seem liked 10 minutes, we waited for a long time, we started leaving the concert and as we were walking up the hill they started playing this. Best encore ever
I bought Pulse the moment it arrived in store. I also saw it on tv. I remember it was a live broadcast but my memorie may be false. I love this concert. I can recommend David Gilmour Live at the Royal Albert Hall or Live at Pompeii. His cd: 'on on island' is beautiful.
Yeah, folks don't realize this was a also a international pay per view event that year. I paid $50 for it having already seen the show live earlier that year. I didn't know if or when they were going to put out a VHS of it (1994 folks), so I wanted to record it. Of course my cable went out the night it was on. No joke!! The cable company was pretty good at immediately refunding everybody's money. But still, what a let down that night.
I was very lucky to be at that concert at earls court london it was one of the greatest nights of my life being a pink floyd fan from a young age it was the only time i got to see them live the atmosphere was incredible
Can understand how you rated it as you did!! I was fortunate enough to be at this concert, and can assure you that as far as an audio-visual feast goes, "Run Like Hell" was unparalleled!! All the normal favourites like "Comfortably Numb", "Time", "Money", "GGITS" and Brick in the wall" were stunning, but it was this song that thumped all the senses and had me and my friends looking at eachother with our lower jaws hugging the ground...."WOW!!". Been to shed loads of concerts from all genres and from top bands, but nothing hits you like this!!!!
Great to see the torch being carried forward.I saw this concert live in NJ over 25 years ago. The ending was absolutely phenomenal. No video can convey that.
Saw them at Oakland in '93 on this tour. Best visuals and audio at a concert I ever experienced, and I attended a lot. They had speaker stacks set in back and the sides on the upper deck for surround sound as well. It was a concert beyond all others. Keep in mind that the live show didn't quite look like the video. The visuals were much clearer. All that colored spotlight glare obscuring the stage was only captured by the cameras. We didn't see that in person. Everything going on stage was visible at all times. For most of the show I wondered was under that huge rectangular structure in the middle/back of the field covered in dark canvas. It want until the encores that we found it was that giant mirror ball. I was distracted and didn't see them uncover and raise it up during Comfortably Numb. Best concert ever.
Excellent video! The looks on your faces during the intro were great! It's apparent that you found the Pink Floyd performance compelling and were hooked right away, almost hypnotized... as are we all when we watch Pink Floyd!
This was their light show 27 years ago! I saw them on the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour in 1987 and it’s a scaled down version of this show but even that show is still better than anyone touring today, and tickets were only $20 back then!
I took my son to the Roger Waters "The Wall" tour in St Paul in 2012. When they started this song the place went nuts. One of the best concerts of my life.
Late to the party, but they do a run through of the whole Dark Side album! The highlight is "Time / The Great Gig In The Sky", it's so powerful live it'll bring tears to your eyes. Keep up the great reacts!
You should do all the songs from the P.U.L.S.E tour DVD! Every song was amazing and it is maybe the best live show i've ever seen, especially when it comes to special effects! I mean, there is some sick stuff going on like a plane flying right through to whole arena ("On The Run") and other stuff!
I saw Pink Floyd in 1988 when they came to Australia, they are the only band that I've seen live in concert where they sounded exactly give or take a small bit exactly like they did on the record of that song. No joke! Best band ever, spot on every time!
My son is a musician in college at the U of A. Wish he and his friends would discover some of these fantastic classic tunes. He bought me David Gilmour Live in Pompeii for Christmas. Thanks!
That Pulse concert was amazing, I haven't seen it in awhile on DVD and will have to revisit soon. Didn't know the story about the bass player...thanks. Great reaction as always.
I was at the meadowlands show 6/94 The bass went through your whole body and the sound quality was surreal- you were left speechless. We were also extremely fortunate to get tickets as people were fighting for them and we had to pay above face value for them. It was the best concert of my life.
I saw this concert all three nights in my home town. the lights were a lot more dynamic in person, than the camera could capture. The final explosion was like a cannon blast rocking the stadium of 50,000 cheering fans. Nothing can duplicate that live experience, but the video gives you a hint at how incredible it was!
I was going to try and get tickets to a PF concert, but they sold out almost immediately. I didn't want to pay a scalper. But it's ok- I've seen so many awesome concerts in my life, from so many classic greats!
Imagine this played LOUDLY over a dark crowded dancefloor bout 600 dancers w/ sim light effex. 1981 SanFran been there done that w/the extended dance version.
According to Pratt, when he got the gig with Floyd Gilmour told him he knew Pratt could handle the bass parts but he needed someone who could do the vocal back and forth with him on "Run Like Hell" and Pratt had a good audition.
Dudes I was 10th row directly in front of Gilmour. That show was fucking incredible. The lights for real looked NOTHING like you see it on video. It was fuckin amazing.
When you go to a Pink Floyd concert its like a sea of people in the band. Everyone knows the songs, and a soon as you hear that first riff of a song it's like nothing you ever experienced.
I saw that tour (live at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio Texas). The live show was just as awesome as it appears and sounds here. Their thunderous, quadraphonic PA along with all the lasers and lights and pyros were almost better than the studio recordings. Thanks for the great reaction videos. ✌️
The Pulse Concert had 2 halves to it First half was "The Dark side of the moon" album played live in it's entirety. Second half was Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V) Learning to Fly High Hopes Take It Back Poles Apart Sorrow Keep Talking Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 One of These Days The Encore Wish You Were Here Comfortably Numb Run Like Hell
It depends on where and when you saw it. In Chicago they did not devote an entire half to Dark Side although most of it was interspersed throughout the concert. Encore was different as well but did end with Run Like Hell.
Regarding Floyd's deliberate anonymity, they were the only supergroup rock band in the 60's and 70's that were able to walk around London visiting pubs/clubs/restaurants etc. where nobody would recognise who they were. They considered that a huge advantage to their private lives of course. It all changed in later years mainly following the DSOTM release when questions were being asked by the press/public as to who the band actually were. What did they look like? After DSOTM, they could no longer hide who they were. This of course relates to their deliberate hiding on stage behind all the spectacular sets and light shows.
I went to this tour in Seattle and it was just as awesome. I believe Run Like Hell was the finale, and came after Comfortably Numb. As far as the light show, remember they also have that round screen with the lights around it, and typically have shown video projected on to it. They have always wanted the audience experience to be more than just sound, but an entire experience.
I'm jealous of Andy. I hope Nick Mason tours again. I'm kicking myself for missing his tour. Just watching Nick and his band play those early Floyd songs on the fan made videos, gave me the chills. Nick did something historic that Pink Floyd hasn't done since the early 70s. Almost nobody who is my age or younger (59) has ever seen any of the classic Pink Floyd members play an entire live set of those early songs. I hope everyone who saw Nick play, realizes that Floyd has not played a set quite like that, in about 50 years and most likely, if they don't see Nick within the next few years, the world will never see it again.
Your reactions.are fantastic - a joy to watch. I was fortunate enough to see them perform 'Dark side of the moon' tour, when I was a student! Happy memories.
Andy - you are correct. Guy Pratt used to be married to the daughter of the late, great Richard Wright. He has played as a session musician with a wide range of artists on a lot of songs over the years. He got his start with PF when they asked him to tour with them on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour in '87. While the Pulse version of Run Like Hell is Fantastic, I personally like the Delicate Sound of Thunder version slightly better (audio).
Hey guys, great reaction again! From the Pulse concert, try Sorrow. It’s not my favorite song from the albums, but the Pulse live version is really something.. The sounds that strat of Gilmour makes...😮😮
The first three sides of the album were written before the film and then side 4 was written. That is why it is so easy to imagine it as a part of a film.
I seen a few of your reaction videos and for guys pretty young I feel you really have a good understanding of what Pink Floyd is about. Great videos guys. Watching that brings back all the memories from when I was there. 1994 was one of the best years in my life.
Amazing guitar playing especially the intro to Run Like Hell fantastic concert although I haven't seen all of it but what I've seen is pretty out of this world guys. Stay lucky stay safe Mike UK.
Was lucky enough to see this twice at Earls Court, London in 1980 & 81. Give some of these video clips a look, including the original Comfortably Numb with David G on top of the wall. An iconic musical moment.
Hey guys hope you enjoyed us revisiting a live track from the Pulse Tour, what are other essential tracks to check out from Pulse?! Let us know down below! Have a great day friends! 😁
All of ‘em.
Speaking of Roger Waters..... ua-cam.com/video/QWLBtMz5OuY/v-deo.html From his 2016 concert in Mexico, performing 'Pigs' before a massive crowd.
Hi guys my rating 10/10.
Wish you were here would be my choice from pulse.
Stay lucky stay safe Mike UK.

Ladies and gentlemen, THAT is how you close out a rock concert!
Oh yes!!
I watch in Rome I'm very very very lucky man
For Those About To Rock by AC/DC is the perfect way
25 years ago this concert was....... Light years ahead of anyone before or since
Definition of “mesmerized”, the facial expressions of Alex and Andy.
got to be 10s just for their faces ,catching flies springs to mind 😊
My husband got me the pulse DVD for Christmas, have to say there’s not a bad one on there. My little grandson loves Run like hell, he runs around pumping his little fists yelling RUN!! I’m starting his training early!
This has got to be the best finale for a concert in rock history. You leave the show with wobbly legs. God that tour was epic.
Yes I did have wobbly legs... loudest most powerful show I have ever witnessed..🍻🍻
Pink floyd..is the best band ever!

You need to watch the entire concert from start to finish. It is a true masterpiece on every level.

Me too 1992 in Indianapolis Indiana at The Hoosier Dome. They were fantastic. 💯❤
I saw Pink Floyd on the PULSE concert, OH MY FUCKIN GOD !! Its Beyond spectacular !! !! !!
The blank stare, the open mouth, the guy with long hair is baked.
Aren’t they both baked? Lol 😂
Just look at the whole concert from start to finish

What concert Is it ??
Ive watched the DVD with my dad so many times. Pink Floyd and music in general is something we bond over.
Pulse is a great show but for me, to listen to pink Floyd you have to listen to them original album by original album. Your not getting Roger Walters on base and vocals and other mad cap instruments he played. The albums are how we are meant to here them.
Yesssssssss!!!! Love Love pink! They give a killer concert this song kicks ass learning to fly is one of my favorites
You guys look mesmerized...exactly like I was when I first listened to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" back in 73 or 74. I have been somewhat mesmerized by them ever since. Yup. From about 1:37 to 2:30, they were motionless -- I had to look for eye blinks to make sure my WiFi hadn't stalled the video. Both reviewers were displaying what I think of as "the Pink Floyd face."
I'm a 67-yr-old bassist.
Their production value has no equal....incredible. Great react!

I came out of Earls Court nearly blind and deaf Comfortably Numb then Run Like Hell to finish . Best night of my life
EPIC EPIC EPIC! THe remastered video version has more shots of the band members, especially at the end, it's even better. Thanks guys!
I saw this show my senior year of high school. It was the second night at the old Cleveland Stadium. Never forget it. Pink Floyd = Timeless. I was on the field and still have my PF seat cushion. It's awesome seeing younger generations get into this music.
"Sorrow" from the Pulse concert...honestly every performance from that concert is incredible
Watching Pink Floyd doing Comfortably numb puts a huge lump in my throat, then when they follow it up with this i am in tears of joy at the end
Dang. That gave me chills gentlemen. I haven't seen Pulse since shortly after it came out. There's nothing as moving as Pink.
I got lucky and got to see them twice on this tour. Syracuse NY and Toronto Canada. It was beyond amazing!

I saw Floyd perform The Wall live at The Nassau Coliseum. It was life changing.
Being on the 12th row.....feeling everything...not just hearing it. One of the most memorable moments in my life.

The Pulse DVD did not have "Poles Apart" on it. I think. ?? That is an overlooked song for sure.
THAT is a show. Nice little bit of atmosphere right there.
Floyd really can't be beaten for in-concert excellence. Superlative.
Man you need to watch pulse from start to finish, the light show is outrageous. Watch it for sure!
You may want to watch the 2016 Live in Pompeii version of Run Like Hell. Masterful work!
Watch Pink Floyd The Wall Live In Berlin! Lots of special guests from Jerry Hall to The Band, The Scorpions, Sinead O’Connor, and many more!

Yes!!! Of course there’s a part 2!! It was cut in half for the movie. Do part 2!!!
Love the channel guys!
The solo in another brick in the wall 2 from Pulse is also amazing.
These guys no there music and I appreciate there comennts
You are gonna love this era, you have only scratched the surface enjoy your trip where we have been!!!
Hey guys, great reaction again! From the Pulse concert, try Sorrow. It’s not my favorite song from the albums, but the Pulse live version is really something.. The sounds that strat of Gilmour makes...😮😮
I’m glad you liked it! I recommended it to you awhile back. I had a feeling you would dig it.
The first three sides of the album were written before the film and then side 4 was written. That is why it is so easy to imagine it as a part of a film.
u guys should watch more live music from ALL these classic bands from my day im 63 ive been around for a while. lol. u will NOT be disappointed!
yeh they always had the light show, they dress like your Dad, but what they produce..amazing!
