Your reaction was longer than the whole album
Diet Dr Kelp cause of the ad revenue

When he’s talking about fentanyl, he’s talking about the opioid crisis. It’s killing as many people as 9/11 every 3 weeks and as much as the entire Vietnam War every year. It’s really fucked up how much pain is goin on.
Flatbush Zombies - Headstone!!! Please!!
I feel like this song is raw in a sense that they took the first take from all the artists separately the opposite of commercial and trying to sell something. I like that about about it feels very natural and not trying to sell me some overproduced made for radio sound that fits the narrative. They could have made a grip of money on the song If they put it through all the filters. They didn't have to prove anything and I like that nuance. It makes the song feel genuine and back to their roots. I respect it because Its mature. Love it. Hate it. Doesn't matter I'm going to do me.
I love you guys! This is definitely the most genuine channel I’ve seen on UA-cam
You guys should definitely do a video of a live concert reaction. Not a video of a concert, go to an actual concert with a go pro or something. That'd be sick.
Y'all gives the best most thorough analyses of music it's awesome
Maybe Kanye had everyone else sound distorted because that’s how he sees/hears everyone. He understands what he is trying to say so he sounds clear on the track.....
Nick Cave - John Finns wife. One of the best pieces of storytelling you'll ever hear.
React to MF DOOM, please!
I really do love Kanye as a person, I have so much respect for him in his enlightenment process; and watching him coming up musically...I remember though the wire, the whole dropout album brings me back to the best times of my life
You guys hit the Nail on the Head here imo i can honestly say we are 100% on the same page here 🕺🏼🕺🏽🕺🏾...I love this whole album and S.N. Don't put your hand on a Stove Kids 😉
on a different song on the album he says " thinking like a jetson but sounding like george Jefferson" so the line about the future in past is probably like you guys explained about not knowing how to present his ideas
It wasn't meant to sound "good" or "perfect" when it comes to on pitch, on perfect melody. It was sung that way purposely. You FEEL Cudi's pain when he sings to go with the lyrics. It's meant to be broken.
Y'all always on top. Damn good unbiased keeping his stuff out of the reaction.
Ps would love to hear sound of silence by Disturbed, or dumbfounded battle rap or one of his songs
Flotsam & Jetsam - No Place for Disgrace(unmastered version)
ua-cam.com/video/dBE3mXKKw40/v-deo.html
I'm not hating because i do like Kanye. Everybody has there own opinions, to each his own.
Clearly it’s supposed to sound f’d up to make him sound more in focus when he comes in to actually illustrate the feeling you guys were talking bout.
For every new video, I shall continue to request this. You guys gotta hear Southtown Writers, a country band my dad sings for. It would mean a lot to me if y’all gave em a listen. I’d like for y’all to check out their song Don’t Give Up On Me on their UA-cam channel. My dad did AMAZING on the vocals of that song, and I think you guys will enjoy it
Damn y’all blew up I subscribed when y’all had 25k
#HITDAFOLKSLIKYAHH right!
I recognize that Kayne is talented, but I am not a fan. However, I really enjoyed this song and your reactions to it. I have watched this video several times today and even listened to the entire song on Spotify. Maybe I like it because Kayne is barely on this track lol I would be interested to get Ryan and George's thoughts on the line "I put my hand on a stove, to see if I still bleed, yeah
And nothing hurts anymore, I feel kinda free" because it reminded me of "I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel" from Hurt by NIN (you guys did a Johnny Cash cover). The part 070 Shake sang reminded me of MGMT a little. If you guys haven't checked them out, you really should do a reaction video to Kids, Electric Feel, or Brian Eno.
i feel like the voices are like that for a reason, maybe they're trying to sound like ghosts...? all in all, great album Kanye. great interpretation guys!!!
Can you do an album review of ye and instead of the reaction you listen to the album on yalls own the go over every song and you take some lines that you enjoyed and tell us your opinion?
Ya'll, as far as hip hop goes, really need to do Flatbush Zombies-Headstone and Speedom by Tech N9ne ft Eminem and Krizz Kaliko. Get back on some Locksmith as well too
Kanye is the ultimate troll. He even took his album cover with his Iphone lol.
Ye a free thinker👌🏾🔥
This is about mental health some parts are a bit off tune to represent mental instability or hurt or confusion. We don't need al green😂 to make it sound better it's perfect the way it is.
I think the problem here is Ryan isn't really a singer or knows about that side of music much, the vocals were good it's just to someone not used to vocals they might try to look for the singing that they are used to listening to, much like how they weren't able to listen to singing and the production all together, they're more used to hip hop where the lyrics are a bigger part than production or melody. The guy on the right though was getting it much better, he just wasn't exactly sure what made this good to explain to ryan.
FLATBUSH ZOMBIES - HEADSTONE!!!!!
Flatbush Zombies HELL-O too good to be slept on guys
I saw somewhere that it was PARTYNEXTDOOR not John Legend.
070 shake is a female from north bergen new jersey. Was also on santeria on daytona
New up and coming artist on GOOD music, definitely check her music out
Best song on the album!! Love it!
The kid cudi singing sounds in the vein of biz markie
"you...you got what I need..." -biz markie
The "bad singing" is intentional, its supposed to be raw and emotional more than its supposed to be good.
exactlyy i agree. i think it's supposed to fall in and out of key & be layered so that the vocals aren't everything.. if you look at the lyrics too, it's pretty clear that it's all super intentional
Facts
DMX was raw and emotional.... but still good. This song is just awful. Music is for the ears, if it doesn't sound good then it's not good music. Period.
MonsterBaby Steve Wilson you think this song is awful? Lmao ok
@@swanton47 yeah, it's not a good song. At all. It's music, how it SOUNDS matters..... And this sounds terrible.
Damn, I'm usually with you guys on this stuff but missing the point of all the off-key stuff. This is a song about being broken and finding peace and solace within that. That's why these beautiful melodies are hidden behind off-key singing. Kanye is a precision point mastermind, so if you think it wasn't intentional....
X amen
Also the song mimics bipolar episodes and the lyrics at the end, esp. the sound effects, represent mania. Its a masterpiece for sure, one of the only songs that REALLY captures it
Couldn’t have said it better
amen they missed this one big time g
Idk kid cudi is always off key its possible it’s just bad
The album is beautiful and transparent. The more I listen to it the more I appreciate it.
I love it.
ändrew Salter I definitely consider it a plus when an artist can put down his thoughts his visions and be completely honest about who he is who he is becoming and what he was. In an industry where lifestyles are fabricated it’s actually refreshing to see an artist be his authentic self even if he doesn’t necessarily know what it is.
Same Here Definitely one of Kanyes Best 👏🏻👏🏻
Cas9a Maybe one of the best of his worst
Yeh, I never felt this at peace and transcendent with a Kanye album since MBDTF. I felt so refreshed after hearing this album
I completely disagree that he should have a good soul singer on this song. As music listeners, there are certain melodies and paths we expect a song to take once we hear the music. Since the this song (and album) are about confusion of the self and not being able to articulate your vision I think Kanye had PartyNextDoor mumble and Kid Cudi on vocals on purpose. It's meant to be the musical equivalent of that skewed messaging. We expect the melody to go one place but instead it falls flat.
I also think it's meant to sound raw like you guys said since this album is meant to be Kanye's inner thoughts without all the grandeur that comes with his outer image.
Thanks for the reaction! You guys are the best!
I just thought of this too. It works even better because we as an audience know that J Kid Cudi is a great rapper but his message isn't coming through. The fact that we know that is another way Kanye uses our expectations to make it fall even more flat.
Sam You are spot on!!!
U are exactly right...they just dont get it..
Sam it's not John Legend btw. It's Partynextdoor
Sam Y'all reaching on this one. The fact of the matter is, he just half assed the song. It was finished the day it was released. He just took the reference track and called it a day.
That was not John legend either, it was PARTYNEXDOOR
It's 070 shake
@@zaydshaikh8274 well yeah but partynextdoor is in the song also, listed as a feature
I think it’s worth noting that this track was finished the same day it came out, according to 070 Shake, the lady singing in the end.
Bittah this whole album was made in the time after he said “slavery was a choice”. Charlamagne said he heard the real album before that event happened and not even one song on this is the same
deadass b
Thats the album i wanna hear to be honest
Bittah I thought the lady at the end was Billie Eilish because 070 shake sounds just like her in this track so I was confused as to why she wasn’t listed in the features lmao
You picked the right one. I cannot stop listening to this track. That outro is legendary
Best part of the song
I PUT MY HAND ON THE STOOOVE
same thing for me on the kid cudi, it sounded amazing to me from the beginning but I love cudi and I have acquired the ear for his voice despite him clearly being off key on that one line haha.
Joseph Roth its always a point if its music
TheActivistBook 808 not a classic but it's a good album
@@justmyopinion1098 808s a classic fym?
Kanye is like the Brian Wilson of hip hop. This track is astonishing. In 20 years this will be recognized as his greatest work (to date!)
this might be the greatest comparison i’ve heard in a while
@@waduhek3988 this comparison was way ahead of its time.
Kid Cudi is purposely making it sound vulnerable and painful. It mimics the lyrics on how it is supposed to be heart wrenching. Think of it more like a cry for help and a longing rather than a singing bit.
Edit: Man! Ryan really trippin on this one, how you even gonna dislike 070 shake part?!
Just because there's an explanation for it doesnt mean he'll like the way it sounds.
I know, I'm just saying. I feel like it'll growing on him. He wasn't looking at the song for what it is, I think Ryan is missing what the whole song is sonically trying to capture and convey and that sort of kept him from really 'listening' to the song throughout.
Honestly, from a musical point of view it really sounds awful. So many off tones, no real melodies or coherence at all. I agree with Ryan; appreciate the message and creativity, but it sounds terrible.
Joseph Roth because it is kanye
Ya but the point of it is to sound terrible.... You're still not getting it.
Imo Ghost Town is the best track on the album lmao
Getting some good MBDTF vibes from this, Mike Dean snapped btw
Yeah it's those guitars
Mike Dean is best hip hop instrumentalist of all time
Dylan Connely he started out with the Ghetto boys
My favourite song on the album. I get the criticisms but the soul of it gets me. Great work guys !
Kev very soulful 🙌🏽 very melodic
Kev I think u should listen to it couples more time and it will grow on you
4 years later, still frequently played in my house!
I dont think the aim for Kid Cudi sound in this song was to be sweet and vocally pitch perfect, I like the fact that his voice had a painful rawness to it.
For me this song was one of seven that I just loved and I had to go back and look at footage of him saying the nonsense we all know he said and looking back I now understand through the music what he was trying to say and you guys are so right the problem is he does not know how to properly translate his thoughts into words that other people can accept because society is right now very complicated and you have to be very careful of who you offend and how, and part of what Kanye is trying to get across to people is that sometimes you need to just say what you’re thinking step outside of the box outside of the lines or the limits that you have been told you have to think in and be free once you are constantly bound by other’s limits you are technically mentally enslaved. I think again he honestly is coming from a genuine place and a thoughtful place because a lot of the song lyrics invite you to deeper thoughts and a better understanding of what he actually is trying to say and I think it’s really brilliant to refer to back when we were kids as you guys said that’s basically your age of innocence and as a child you are free in your thinking in a different way because you’re not yet aware of what is appropriate for others and what isn’t I just love the meaning behind the lyrics. This is just my opinion no one needs to agree with me lol🤗
Tabita D Placide yikes was my favorite
Johnathan Hernandez favorite line of the Album, “the say you high Ye, I say good thing they didn’t catch me on a wild day”
I agree, I always felt like when it came to Kanye speaking his mind very abruptly, sort of randomly, and just overall in a scattered matter, that's when he's come off as "crazy" and uninformed to the public. so when it comes to presenting himself and his thoughts to the world, art and in this case specifically, music is his most fluent language
The audio for the Kid Cudi part has been stretched. It is why some of his "notes" sound drawn out. The "John Legend" part is PartyNextDoor. The sample is "Someday" by Shirley Ann Lee.
This track is incredible
regardless of the differentiating thoughts about this song, this was a raw, honest, great review
FLATBUSH ZOMBIES- HEADSTONE
Victory, Victory, Gold on my neck, Mr T
It's partynextdoor not John legend
Mark K you sure?
No, it's John legend. Pnd appears earlier on the album
ducksonmeth it's party. Malik Yusef who worked on the album confirmed it. As well as Genius.com credits
Anil Vellanki that's wrong
Mark K damn is really pnt? shit...
That was some good shit George. Kanye gotta holla.
Being a metalhead, listening to stuff like this is refreshing! #freethinkers
If you guys can't decide what kind of metal to do next....
Pantera - Domination (Live in Moscow 1991)
Keep going my dudes!
ThePaJomaster Phil sounds horrible on this live performance.
It's all about Dime...
Drew Legere he sounds fine
It's about the energy, guitar solo and breakdown, audience
It's about powerfull energy and libido of this guys put in this performance, what It is Amazing!! Pantera for ever 🤘🤘
Please react to Lupe Fiasco - Mural
Joe Jelly that would be a long ass video lol
Oh13richt for sure haha. These guys would do such a good breakdown though.
One of, if not the most underrated rap songs out there
Yes please. Thats a top 50 hip hop track of all time to me.
Royce bodied that beat
For me this song has a huge Velvet Underground feel. The intentionally raw sound that bridges the gap between almost folk music and experimental psychedelic rock. Not always pleasant to listen to, but the art lies in the dissonance.
Check out some early velvet underground see what you think. Something like Sunday Morning or There She Goes Again or All Tomorrows Parties.
Honestly the fact that you just made a connection between two of my favorite artists of all time Kanye and Slash just made me happy lol.
Where did he reference slash?
Great point, this song gave me VU vibes as well. Velvet Underground - Venus in Furs would be a great song to react to as well!
Logan Hill Slash is in Velvet Revolver, not Velvet underground
Logan Hill lmao, honest mistake, but go listen to VU, Lou Reed and John Cale
I feel like when kanye brought up slavery is a choice.. He meant mental slavery threw all forms of media due to that fact they use this for mass manipulation.. Also working a 9 to 5 job is a form of slavery also. Especially when u working gor a company that makes 20k a day and then pay employees minimum wage while they profit millions a month..so i agree with that
Johnathan Hernandez exactly. Modern slavery not what happened back then. Said the same thing with some guys at work
I wished he would of just said mental slavery from the start it would have never been blown out of proportion.
he said 400 years. Which implied "back then" which at that point intime it wasnt a choice
Physical Slavery only lasted 200 years. Slavery started a little less than 400 years ago so he had always implied it was mental slavery.
Sir_Drastic physical slavery on earth was since forever.. And slavery didnt have a color people enslaved there own people for profits lol but i get what u mean
😂🔥 this was very entertaining! Songs a creatively orchestrated mess. Kanye still a maestro. Kid Cudi rocks🤘 Superb unbiased reaction guys💯
I can't believe I'm giving a thumbs-up to a Kanye song, but this really did catch me by surprise.... it's not at all in my usual musical comfort zone, but I appreciate this for the weird, creative mess it is. Maybe that awful Periphery song has finally broken my ability to tell the difference between noise and music? Whatever the case, this thing sometimes kind of reminds me of some of the deliberately weird experimental stuff the Beatles or Pink Floyd were doing - maybe not the same calibre as those two giants of psychedelic rock, but I'm still enjoying myself here!
Pietr Ayday Dude this whole channel about being a free thinker when it comes to music, don’t bash Kanye just because it’s Kanye. If you actually listen to his discography you’re sure to find something that resonates with you.
This Reaction is almost as long as the whole Album :D
Lol!
lmfao
George: I actually like the way that sounds...
Ryan: Really?!?
Lmao
Ya'll need BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME!!!
Clashcor _ someone requested it earlier lol
I've been requesting on almost every video for months lol
I read this when it happened haha
Great video as always, I LOVE the rawness of the song. It's like different stages of him. He's struggling to find it, when he does he's to medicated, it becomes clear, and now he's free. Wouldn't Leave is great as well. But overall a good album different in a good way.
Definitely should’ve picked violent crimes over this. Kanye was rapping real shit on that one
I think too many people over think the song and don't feel the raw type of emotion that Kanye is trying to convey. I believe Kanye knows exactly how he wanted it to sound. Everyone entitled to their own opinion. #freethinkers
im glad y’all chose this song to be the song y’all reacted to, it’s so amazing!
This vid just made my lunch break a whole lot better 🔥
Logan Knorr I’m eating lunch too 🍕🍕
Same! Lol
When the reaction video of one song is almost as long as the entire album lol
But great job guys, shout-out to my free-thinkers!
Btw, yall gotta react to some Lupe! I'd suggest Mural, Failure or Prisoner 1 & 2
I feel like Cudis delivery works perfectly for what he’s actually saying “I’ve been trying to make you love me, but everything thing I try just takes you further from me” he’s basically pleading with the listener that he’s attempting to do whatever he can to keep the love you have for him. Which in turn relates to Kanye trying to push the envelope and people hating him
Andrew this needa be liked more. Facts
U, u got what I neeeeeeeeeeeeed
Sean Mesenbrink It’s exactly like that lmao
Perfect comment. 💯
you said this perfectly. only real fans understand.
Very dope interpretation of this video.
I agree. They are super objective and always deliver a positive message behind the songs they react to. Love these dudes! Where would hip hop be without wise grey tops hahaha
I was expecting “ All Mine “ haha but we’re thankful you touched it at all #FreeThinkers
Damn, you dudes got on my nerves about the vocals. Imagine how whack this song would be if he had impeccably perfect vocals. The whole point is when you're not at your supposed best.
grover sands Just because there’s an explanation doesn’t mean you will suddenly like it. I’m sure they appreciate the message they just don’t like how it sounds.
sounds like auto-tune taking it out of tune on purpose
agreed
React to A$AP Rocky - A$AP Forever please!!

I was waiting for your reaction to the album but I'll take this 😁. Was also here thinking this is going to be the test. You guys nailed the unbiaseness to the t 🤗. Wow you listened without prejudice unlike some so called radio hosts. Reviewing music should be just like this, unbiased. Hope you guys end up on tv or radio because you're really good.
Madina Kass - word. I'm hesitant to share them with the commercial world of tv or radio. They would have to be framed to a certain style of specific show, and that is not them. I don't believe they would be as free as they would like to be on air. But, they are that good. Love these guys.
Ruben Gz Drake said in his duppy freestyle I could never have a Virgil in my circle and hold him back cause he makes me nervous. I want to see my brothers flourish to their higher purposes. I do to.
If they eventually get there (tv or radio) I hope they remember they built their UA-cam following on being unbiased. People no matter how powerful and rich they are, have a lot of respect and admirations for people with integrity.
whatever, people cant react to Azealia's music without bringing up old bs, why should Kanye be exempted.
Ryan Roastin on this one! LOL
Don't bet it on on taking your life.... What I get from the album is feelings of being Bipolar.
I also think John Legend was meant to sound distorted.
It wasn't John Legend, it was PARTYNEXTDOOR
It's partynextdoor singing at the start not John legend , song is amazing though 070 shake killed that outro
Also if you guys get back into the UK scene at any time gotta check out Aitch -straight rhymez 1 , 17 year old kid taken the scene by storm, crazy flow and wordplay.
It’s interesting coming back to peoples original reaction to songs, I had a totally different experience with this song but til this day ghost town is one of my favorite songs
FADE TO BLACK 💕💕💕💕
i'm 90% sure kanye has aspergers (i have aspergers btw) so it's really interesting looking at his lyrics and how he acts in interviews. i'd really like to have a conversation with him some day
Ohhhhhhh can't believe we're losing the violent crimes reaction. UA-cam get in the bin with this copyright bsss
This one song review is the same length as the entire album 😂
What I really like about this song is that not only does it start with a more melancholy town and then turns into this great almost spiritual sonnet.
It’s seems as if he wanted some of the music to be off key on purpose to get you to really listen to what is being said. As a musician I really appreciate those off key moments because they are so intentional.
Wiz Herb true , he wanted it off key
Please do joey badass- ring the alarm. You guys would love it
Violent crimes is my favorite song on the album y’all should definitely react to it!!!
Highly Suspect - Lydia
Or Queens of the Stone Age - no one knows ...love the reactions, keep'em coming. #Freethinkers
M Porten Yo! Lydia is one of the greatest songs ever!
I really liked the album! It stands out from everything else that came out so far this year.
I like this song because it's different. Also Kanye is in the top 3 producers in the game. In my opinion.
Top 1
Top 1 in terms of the diversity of his discography
Who are the other 2
I gotta go with Dr. Dre #1 because that's the law. But you know my #2 is that guy Mr. Dj (David Sheats)
Randy Lambrecht this is your all time picks ?
MGMT - Electric Feel
Architects - Gone with the Wind
The only reason why I gave this video a thumbs down is because while I appreciate y'all critique, yo analyze way too damn long this is a 23-minute video for like a three or four minute song
ASAP rocky - praise the lord ft. Skepta
I think this track is mostly Cudi. I surely think he wrote the lyrics that Shake sang. The lasers and futuristic sounding arrangements all seems like Cudi. I love this track and hope it grows on ya, Ryan. Find yourself a dark room with a good sound system and try to experience the track again. Best reactions on the web, keep it going guys!
Legacy Rant 070 Shake wrote her verse
Brandon Clinkscale I think so too but I heard also that cudi was originally gonna do the outdo to ghost town but Kanye changed his mind and put this on his album and added shake.
You guys have the best reaction channel
My favorite song of all time
wut lol
George: I think I like this part🤔
Ryan:…… okay🥴🤨
Killed me😂😂😂
This track was done the exact same day as the album release, per 070 shake the girl singing,
Takes a few listens to this song for the bad vocals to completely disappear and see this as one of the best songs you ever heard
