    Pack, in this video, Adbeel and Sarah discuss the top 4 biggest regrets we've observed and heard from customers both before and after their Texas Metal building projects have been completed.
    First is: NOT researching their building company.
    One of the best ways to research is by hopping on Google to check their reviews and their presence on social media platforms. If you're buying from a dealer, simply ask who the manufacturer building your structure is.
    It's also crucial to determine whether you'll need a permit for your metal building project. We have posted a video about metal building permits; check it out here: • Do Metal Buildings nee...
    Additionally, you should establish a RANGE for your budget, not just a single number. Do you intend to finance your project through your bank or directly through the company?
    Finally, when building something, it's important to think long term. There might be changes or transformations you'll want to make in the future, so consider that as well!
    DON'T FORGET TO TELL YOUR SALES PERSON ADBEEL AND SARAH SENT YOU FROM UA-cam.

    Couldn't say enough good things about WolfSteel. Not only were they amazing through the planning and build stages but they still make themselves available for any post-build questions and are still invested in making the space they built, even better. Absolute professionals in this industry, so impressed with how they do business. Thank you!

      We're hoping too that one day we can cater to your area but for now let our UA-cam videos reach you.
      Check out this pricing video for a barndominium shell that we did in Santa Fe, Texas. This may not be the same size as what you're looking for but hope this helps in your planning. :)

    thanks wolfsteel for the great content and knowledge sharing! As far as setting a range in cost, on average, what percentage of the quoted price should we expect to allow for for any price adjustments that might happen along the way? Just a ballpark average? Thanks!

      GREAT QUESTION! This can vary by project especially on complexity of the project.
      Things that can affect the project cost that aren't typically accounted for can be:
      Permitting:
      - Will you be required to get a site plan?
      - Price of your permit?
      - Will you need plans?
      - Is equipment required to install your building and you weren't aware?
      - Will your building/foundation need to be engineered?
      - Will you need a concrete pump to pour your foundation?
      - Site Prep... This is a very common one. How off level is your location
      These are some things that I can think of that we know aren't accounted for when planning for these projects. Rightfully so! These are things that we know from being in the industry. I would say these can start at about an additional 2K to 5K+
      Obviously the more complex your project, strict your city, HOA, Site, etc. is the more BUT best case is nothing. (which we love when that happens)
      Its hard to give a precise answer to your question so, hopefully this answers it. If it doesn't let me know and I can address in a different way

      There’s some of the companies I found in the state of Iowa (no particular location).
      Eastern Iowa Buildings, Inc. (Tubular)
      American Steel Buildings, Inc. (Tubular)
      Lucas Metal Works (Red Iron)
      Metal Barn Central (Tubular)
      American Metal Builders
      We personally haven’t worked with these companies in Iowa. We can’t vouch for them or their quality, but they have great reviews on their socials!
      Hopefully this helps. Stay tuned to our channel as we breakdown a lot of the industry! Also if you have any questions shoot them over in our community page. Here to help!

    Good things...im sure wolf steel buildings might do a decent job, but no matter what, anyone who does not live nearby is still on a gamble! maybe they do good work. But the cost is through the roof on another level!.... but i just watched 1 video for a 30x40 that they ( #wolfsteelbuildings ) priced at almost $37k (no concrete, just buiilding metal, shipped, installed, doors, windows) !!!! This is insane pricing! Maybe im out of date by a year or two but this is rediculous pricing when the slab/concrete in my area would cost 9k ish installed. Thats almost $50k for a ***** METAL building! Dont want to fully blame them for pricing when america is in bad shape, but i cannot see a 30x40 going up twice as costly!
    Metal buildings were only bought because they were cheap!
    They mention the red iron.... they send you plans and unless your not mechanicly inclined they are easy to do if you can read blueprints and rent equipment. I was quoted 18k+ for red iron not built. Couple years ago. So maybe im just out of the loop. But i cant see it double the cost! Outrageous! Please explain.

    • @raim6670
      @raim6670 6 місяців тому +2

      Yes. It really has gone up that much…..

    • @ryguy8888
      @ryguy8888 6 місяців тому +1

      @raim6670 Wow! Thats such a bummer! I just did some of my own research after watching this and especially for my area northeast its the most expensive for buildings because of snow load ratings (ex: my town area is 65psf)! But ya checked a few and they were EXPENSIVE as well. I did still find alot cheaper with one of the biggest manufacturers but the price for theirs was up alottt also.
      Hopefully, i seriously hope, things come down in time.

    • @wolfsteelbuildings
      @wolfsteelbuildings  6 місяців тому

      There was a time that it was cheaper to build out of metal rather than wood. Those days are no more, however that time created a misconception metal buildings being "cheap" If you analyze road signs, commercial, and industry buildings are being built from different types of metal. Metal is being used more and more in construction due to its strength. More strength comes at a price. You are completely right, pricing a couple of years ago was very different from today which is why it can be shocking to see the differences. Take a look at this link that tells you average pricing on steel: www.investing.com/commodities/us-steel-coil-futures . Everything even milk and eggs prices are shocking.. When comparing pricing it is essential to see what you are comparing - is it apples to apples or apples to oranges? sure its concrete to concrete but is there internal beams? is there vapor barrier? is there notch edge to help with water seepage? It could also just be flatwork which is different than a foundation. Same goes with a building looking at HOW its built and with which type of reinforcement materials make a difference in price.
      Regarding the red iron building not built - labor for installing will always be a expensive part of metal building projects. That is if done correctly by someone who specializes in it. There will always be a "friend" or "neighbor" who will do it cheaper, but there is a reason they are not installing that for a living. Also many plans are voided if not built by someone licensed not to mention issues with follow up if something goes wrong.
      Here at WolfSteel we have someone out on the field and constant communication with the client. If anything isn't to our standards or the clients we will make it right. Construction is craftsmanship so its not always perfect but we ensure we make everything right.
      Hopefully this answers your question and concerns RyGuy8888!

      This is also true! Fun fact a lot of us here at WolfSteel actually come from the Midwest in MI or IL. Adjusting to snow loads adds additional trusses and purings for more lbs psf which in turn adds price. I will give you a tip pricing for both galvanized and red iron is going up entering the year. Best of luck in your project! Everything you said is completely true to an extent, if you have any questions submit them under our videos, on our stories, or even on google. Hopefully we can help in some way
