What I found out is The foundation has to be bigger than building. The concrete anchors have a specific distance between outside edge of pad and anchor set point. If you anchor to close to edge you can break concrete. The way your customer did this is correct.
My sales rep said make foundation same dimensions as building but once I got the plans it talks about that specifically and in my case I went larger so my anchor set point is 4" from outside edge.
