In this video we discuss/answer different questions asked with pouring concrete for metal buildings in Texas. What is an engineered foundation? When is it recommended? What to expect the day of your concrete pour? What is the difference between concrete flatwork and concrete foundations? OH AND A GIVEAWAY!!!
Our client got an addition to his driveway, porch patio, door approaches, and reinforcement for his car lift. This foundation is also a engineered foundation. This building will be a 30x40 Red Iron Metal Building.

Are red iron stronger than tubular if both have identical wind load?
We're wrapping up the red iron vs tubular building so we can add this as a question Brad!! Great question!
Quick insights: in order for a red iron building to have a wind load it needs to be a bolt up which is prefab'ed and engineer certified. A weld up metal building can not guarantee a wind load as there is no certification behind it. Tubular building are usually built to code and are prefab'd to a specific wind load for areas. We'll emphasize this more!

I'm going to guess that he's getting 2 ten foot overhead doors, one front and one rear with rear covered porch and a small lean out over side door. He may also have two windows on each side. Maybe a large window in front left side.
