Hi, it’s probably slightly better than it was before, it doesn’t hunt for gears at low speeds so much now.
It’s most probably a characteristic of the gearbox design and not as good as the 7 GTronic plus of my E Class.
The job is easy, just little awkward, you need to check the oil temperature for accurate quantity or measure exactly what you remove. Have a go.

Excelent job. I done it at home and you can save money, however you must to do this task in a clear environment.
    Two comments:
Please use gloves for this purpose! Your health is the first, this oil is like a poison for your hands.
Unfortunately, your procedure to chek the oil level I afraid is not valid. Apart from the must of oil temperature (not clutch temperatures), you have to set your TCU in a special mode using diagnosis. It performs a soft adaptation.
If you check the oil stick with the normal mode (like you have done) and the special mode, there will be different measures.
Keep this in mind, this gearbox is very sensitive to wrong oil level.

      @@geofus Of course.
In order to check the oil level in a 724.0 gearbox, you must reach the 40ºC temperature in oil (not clutches), you are right with this.
After this, you have to use a diagnosis system (Xentry is the most suitable), and execute a specific function of the diagonsis tool to perform the oil check. Executing this function, the TCU (electronic unit control of the gearbox) asks you for accelerate the engine to 2000 rpm, and performs a soft adaptation, showing you a blinking "F" letter in the dashboard of your car. The diagnosis tool will ask you for this action.
At this moment, your gearbox has reached a special mode that indicates you what is the oil temperature, the quantity of rows that you may measure with your stick.
This measurement not matches with the measurement in normal mode using the dipstick (like you are showing in your video).
After cheking this, you have to end the checking oil function in your diagnosis, to reach the normal mode.
For these reasons, your procedure is not correct.
Do you understand what I mean?

@@BassicVIC hello, did you change the fluid in the end? As I was told exactly the same thing, a very reputable garage near me said they would refuse the job for no amount of money, as these are sealed for life? But to refer to the manual/service book to be sure. But he said in his experience you SHOULD NOT service the gearbox especially if it's running ok to begin with.
