    Don't know about your model but usually Mercedes has a drain plug on the converter so you get out the oil from there too. Now you get maybe less than half out.

      According to my research everything but the fluid is correct.....the 725.0 9g-tronic (nag3) , 236.17 spec transmission takes liqui moly top tech 1950....this has the 236.17 mercedes approved spec and i could find direct correlation to fit (at least my 23 sprinter ) .....on the positions you mentioned 3 positions ...1 to drain , 2 to fill , 3 for excess....does this sound correct?

      I only use Mercedes or Valvoline 236.17 tranny fluid in my van.
      Is it your first time doing this service?

    Only other thing I'd point out to add is there is a specific sequence from Merc to tighten the bolts and to the correct torque spec which I believe is 4nm. Good on ya otherwise!

    Whats the service interval..can there be damage if its changed for the first time at 140.000km?

    • @SprinterZone
      @SprinterZone  2 дні тому

      Normally 40,000 miles.
      I’ve seen vans with their 1st tranny service at 200k. It depends on your luck and driving habits.

  • @endlesstrading

    How come you didnt drain any oil from torque converter?

    • @SprinterZone
      @SprinterZone  5 місяців тому +1

      I normally perform tranny services every 50k miles.
      This helps to maintain clean oil in the system, without draining the torque converter.
      Cheers!

      Is there a specific temperature to drain oil from the TC? I removed the 4mm hex from my TC when doing the transmission service and less than 250ml came out?!
