Also keep in mind hes running at Atco in New Jersey. That track is at sea-level and gets great DA. I used to love to run there as it wasn't as packed as raceway Park, r.i.p.

Great runs with a very mild setup. Untouched heads too that’s great. I wonder what my old Pewter 6MT would have done with an auto lol. This is going back well over a decade, but I went 10.83 on a 75 shot with headers, a TSP cam and springs. Haven’t touched many cathedral port setups since lol

That's impressive!! I'm rebuilding my 403 w/a TH350, 12 bolt, and some lightening, as well as a 8pt. mild steel from MWC. Hopefully I can get the car in the low 10's on motor. It was originally built for a big shot of nitrous by the guy I bought the car from, but I don't want to be going through my motor every year! I also have a stand up radiator, which will hopefully work well! I did away w/my air box, and plan on building some sort of air intake-maybe fill the front bumper 'Camaro' area with a fab'd piece, to a 4" pipe to TB. I know that has to be good for something, pulling cool, fresh air!

Having a t 350 or t400 will have a slower take off. A 4l60e has a lower first gear. Great for taking off out of the whole
Pull weight out in the right places on a 4th gen and it doesn't take much to go 10's w/o breaking stuff.

Its hard for me to believe the rearend is stock its a 7.6 ten bolt and have seen them break with sticky tires going 12s unless someone put bigger axles and rebuilt it with better parts 10.80s is really good for a naturally aspirated 346 cubic inch street car impressed

This beautiful car has the perfect stance and tire fitment. Most all (non tubbed) camaros with the larger drag tires on back are just plain ugly. Could you give us the tire and wheel part numbers (back spacing and widths). Thanks

How do you not blow that 10 bolt up? I dont understand how you are hooking like that and using those tires with a 10 bolt.
Autos are more forgiving on the rear than manuals are.

Look like you lightened her up a good bit. No A/C, No Windshield wiper fluid reservoir, no rear seat, no passenger seat, fiber glass hood. I would assume the front sway bar is removed but probably a little more. Did you ever run it full weight?
Jerry Mason no sir. This was actually the first time out with the car. Bought it as a rolled back in 2015 and just got it done about a week before the track day lol
Nice runs man! I've been struggling too but mostly because I'm trying to do it without any the weight reduction aside from the drag pack. My best run in 2018 was 11.14@121. I just upgraded from the stock intake and I'll be trying again in March.

probably stock. Mines on stock pushing around 380whp

Bolt ons, tune and the right trans has this MOVING. look at the low MPH its all in the chassis working.
and a diff , those stock f body diffs are pretty weak

Coleby Currans rear suspension is all Midwest chassis stuff, front end is all UMI stuff. Front shocks are strange coil overs, rear are Napa replacements for stockers and H&R springs

James Dew just about most of his runs were left off idle, not even bringing up rpm with the foot brake. The converter flashes to 4000-4200 rpm very quickly though

Evan Howard88 they’re some amazon specials, baked open and sprayed satin black. Retrofitted with morimoto H1 projector with the shroud painted red white and blue. Then sealed back up

Looks like a vfn sunoco hood. I was looking at getting it once but even with body work the fitment isnt as perfect as the OEM SS hood so I changed my mind. I have some videos of my 02 SS with heads and cam on my channel

Says in the video beginning, stock 10 bolt with 3.42s. Most likely got the rear from a manual car.

What's the truth on the setup? This car is running as fast as LSX Matt's Camaro with a 5.3 LS with the LSA supercharger.
Automatic and chassis that works.
Afri it's easy go run a 10 with a heads, cam, intake, and tune ls1 with a tire and suspension work
@@tylerdavis6277 The list says untouched heads, stock bottom end LS1. Ed Curtis makes great cams. (I have one in my Mustang). This Camaro definitely has some suspension work done to it. Now that I look closer at the parts being used, I believe it.
@@afri1414 it says untouched 243 heads. Those aren't factory ls1 heads however the car is still very impressive for the mods it has.
@@jarradsmith6204 Yes, I read up on the 243 heads. 210cc vs. 199cc for the LS1 (241) heads. The small cc of the 243 adds a little more compression. That chassis works. Look at those launches.

There's a reason it runs 10s, and it's not just from 243 heads, cam, intake, exhaust, converter, gears, and tires. And I highly doubt it's with just suspension bolt ons. I smell some weight reduction....
Some of which is visibly apparent with no passenger or rear seats.
@@stlchucko Who cares about the weight reduction? Weight reduction doesn't negate the fact that this car is running 10s with a very simple setup and not much invested. This is what a properly dialed in setup will do. So many people throw gobs of cash at their cars and they run like shit. This is good hot rodding right here.
Refuse To Lose THIS
I “care” (as in curious) because the exact same mods on a full weight car would run slower, and rough calculations can be used to estimate what it’d run in a full weight trim. Given that I’m interested in a mostly street 4th gen, I won’t be doing all the typical weight reduction (bumper and door rebars, carpet, AC, stereo, passenger seat, etc).
So why are you complaining at me as if I’m slighting the guy for cutting weight? I’m trying to figure out how much time he picked up from the weight reduction.

Went 10.99 at 126 with a t56 and 9 inch. Very similar engine setup
What suspension
BNRZ28 front end is all UMI stuff, rear end is all Midwest chassis parts. Front shocks are Strange coil overs, rear shock are some Napa replacement for the stocks and H&R springs

@@Beans2858 know this was awhile ago but do you happen to remember what the race weight was? I'm running at 3500lbs and I know the trap speed would be similar since I have the same motor setup. Untouched 243s, fast 90mm, lid, 234/238 duration with .592/.602 lift on a 112lsa EDIT: i saw your other comments 3400 with you in it. So I'd say about 150lbs less than mine, good 1.5 mph difference then. Gives me hope.
