I was banned on X today for absolutely no reason besides the occasional "repubs are nazis" comment.
Ive never attacked anyone nor did anything "bad" and i was banned...

I sort of and I mean sort of needed X for work and for networking ao I'm bummed about that.
I actually quit my last job cuz I had to spend everyday on X finding and talking to crypto and NFT projects. I worked for an NFT marketplace and we also held weekly Twitter spaces.
X is so dang toxic I had to quit... I guess in a way this is a blessing, lol

I agree with this comment. I would say that applies widely across the board in the US right now. Pick a topic and as adults we stand firm on our own beliefs and hurl insults at the opposition on how they're the devil.

Now I also get lots of hateful accounts that come across my feed, but hardly any of the good accounts that I'm actually following. I never see them anymore. He's completely screwed it up!
What's crazy, is Don's questions weren't even that aggressive, or gotcha. He asked very fair, and obvious questions about the state of twitter, and Elon went pissy and aggressive. Elon was expecting an interview where Don was kissing his ass, like any Conservative pundant would, but folded the moment he was asked real questions with even an ounce of substance to them.
So Elon went from pissy and aggressive to pissy and aggressive? What a shock! It's probably Don's fault that he just blew up another billion dollars in taxpayer money over the Gulf of Mexico.
i actually felt kinda full cringe and on the edge of my seat bad for Don... imagine having a totally normal and expected sort of interview and getting answers like that. he was throwing off 'offended narcissist' big time (triggering my ptsd on that. ex rship). and the feel you can get of just "fukk, what have i stepped in?" and knowing you can't get out. and that it's going downhill. and you can't do anything. and it continues..... then to have his thing terminated??? it's like FUKK i guess i shoulda known not to do that interview??
if elon answered differently, and tried to work with the questions he could easily dodge giving out the answers as a direct confirm/deny. like instead of talking of his own drug use he could have pivoted to theory behind microdosing and not actually said if he does or not. he could abstain from mentioning a political view as it could have effects on the business (contracts for space-x. cars.) and say that everybody would benefit from the new tech, electric cars. stuff like that.
but no, he made it weird.
(also condescending, and uncomfortable. such a let down that THIS is who he is. tried to give benefit of the doubt for a while. but i also think he got worse with time.)

That's pretty standard for Elon and has been for years.
He was asked basic questions on an investor call back in 2018 and he no longer allowed that analyst to ask, starting that "boring boneheaded questions are not cool."

And Elon in my opinion, should be nowhere near social media. SpaceX is fantastic, the invovation and development is amazing, genuinely innovating the industry (watch yesterdays starship test.), but bloody hell that man has the social skills of a socially awkward rock.

I deleted my Twitter account and I don't regret that decision. In fact I found it astounding that a basic security feature I had set up for free suddenly was locked behind a paid subscription. It only made me feel better about hitting the delete button.
