Thank you for this easy to follow thorough video. Got me back up and running and now I can clean out the carb before each winter without paying to have it done.
Great score - you got a machine that typically retails around $225-250, spent less than thrity minutes to clean the most common failure - dirty carb...and now have a nearly new machine for next to nothing! I did the same 2 years ago with aTroy-bilt machine, $40 Craigslist find not running. Cleaned the carb and put a $15 set of replacement valves in the pump, and have gotten two years of reliable use out of it now....score!
I have this same pressure washer. Was about to take it to trash and go back to electric. Only ran good for 2 years. Thanks for showing how to identify bad gas. Mine looked like lemonade. However, pretty disappointed with this Honda engine. Have a Troybuilt mower with a B&S engine, over 20 y/o has started right up every year with the same bad gas in it. My carb looked cleaner than this one. This is a very finicky engine, 1st and last Honda engine. Will go with HF predator small engines over Honda.
Yes I use carb cleaning spray for everything. I feel starting fluid (ether) is a bit harsh. I'm spraying it with the air cleaner removed and the choke open into the carburetor opening
Starter fluid 😂. I'm currently working on a 3300 psi blackmax that will only run off starter fluid, and it's got fresh gas and getting it all way to the carburetor. As that's that's where I drained the old fuel out so I know it gets that far. I guess now I gotta pull the carb and clean it out. Overall these blackmaxes run AMAZING. The engines are a generic Honda. I paid 300$ for same engine that's on a 900$ Simpson Brand pressure washer with a brand name Honda on it. It's the fact I forgot to drain the fuel and close the valve that let's fuel into the carb so it's likely pooled there and gummed up due to ethanol. I also make a point to run a court of stuff called TruFuel (make sure you buy the Grey can for 4 cycles. The red cans are for 2 stroke engines. And it's always started first or 2nd pull up until I improperly stored it for almost a year

Thanks. I will try what I watched you do. 🤞🤞
Thank you. this was very helpful!
Excellent video, thanks
What’s the size of the hose?
Nice, I need one of those!
Nice find. At 3:23, is that Carb cleaner you are spraying? Where exactly did you spray?

Whats the stuff called in the can he's using to get it started
