A friend of mine recently picked up this dewalt pressure washer with a Honda gx200 engine. It has not been started in a couple seasons and will not run now after sitting. lets investigate and see if we can get this machine running again.
Nice! That’s a nice unit! Well done sir! The one I just worked on was probably one of the nastiest carbs I’ve worked on
I bought the same GX 200 from a guy that said it hasn't run in 2 years. He kept it in a heated garage and the pump was good. The gas looked like orange juice and the carb was full of varnish. I bought a new OEM carb, fuel line and tank filter. For $140.00 I have a good running pressure washer that has barely been used.
That's a good idea putting grease on the bowl gasket it would also help it stay put. Thanks for another great video Alex
mopar penetrating fluid is the best thing for cleaning carbs and jets etc ...... just let em soak in it and your mind will be blown , I don't even use carb cleaner or ultra sonic anymore .
Tech tip.. the choke lever works as a plug for the fuel line..there is a nipple on the lever that fits perfectly in the fuel line...good show!
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
I really like this channel.
Good one, Alex! I just worked on my first log splitter. Customer complaints - difficult starting and no idle. I also found the Honda clone carb was leaking. One good carb cleaning and all the issues resolved! One thing I found was there was no upper O-ring on the pilot jet. I have two boxes of assorted O-rings (standard and metric) and still couldn’t find one that fit the jet and allowed me to get the jet back in place, even with silicone lube and force. In the end I decided to leave it the way I found it, thinking maybe on this particular engine perhaps only the lower ring was necessary. Worked fine with no leaks, idling and throttling up perfectly with no surging. Won’t know for sure until the owner puts it under load, so fingers crossed.
Do they sell only the pilot jets separately?
Carburetor issues that is the one that is probably caused by ethanol gas the.low.oil protection system is another factor in a no start symptom
Agreed, ethanol gas is bad for small engines. I only buy non ethanol for all my equipment and run them dry for winter storage.
@@markshuput5228 sounds great to me too do that for your small engine equipment
eBay carb about 15.00 bucks but I usually ultra sonic clean and new bowl gasket and intake gasket 😊
Can I get the correct part number for the oem carburetor please..
Hondas are pretty unkillable I’ve fixed plenty of pushmowers with Hondas with a no start drain the carb and they pretty much always start
