The Hera/Hestia duo is actually great on normal torches, because it considers you holding down the attack button as channeling, so it just bursts every second or so. Granted it’s still Scorch, so.
Well, still just 90 free damage per second for just playing as you normally do, so...
@@NickGuimaraes26 well, u apply 90 scorch but it's still 40 dps. One of my favorite duos tho if you get all the scorch tier 2 boons
@@NickGuimaraes26 it's not that good, you're supposed to be close to the enemies and the special doesn't stagger so in high fear 32+ it feels unplayable.

@@isaacashton5772 they buffed the aspects pretty hard but it still feels lackluster, the damage is decent now even good but it's not "stable" and it's less safe. There's potential though.

I got the Icarus boon that makes your omega attacks and specials explode last night on a surface torch run for the first time.
What an insane interaction that is. I didn't think it would work on every hit on the orbiting special. Can't wait for more of the surface to be complete to really go ham with it.
it works with stuff like Zeus' cast also it's pretty insane
Yeah, that combo is pretty silly. Got it with the Hestia OmSpecial fireball and I could barely see what was going on LMAO
The hestia duo where you scorch for 100 damage while channeling omega moves must be so good with torches
The "follow" hammer actually works pretty well with Moros. Spam atk, hit special, sprint, all the atk bubbles come back to you either hit the enemy or the special for blast dmg.
Vow of Forsaking does actually help with getting duos legendaries, just not as much. If you get offered priority boons (like core boons and some tier 2 boons), you won’t have the opportunity to get a duo or legendary in their place, but if you’ve taken or forsaken all possible priority boons you’ll have three chances every time.
Once your slots are filled the odds of getting a priority boon are not very high, though, so I’m not sure limiting yourself to only a third of the boons of each god is worth it.
I did this run with demeter on attack... but it was only because at the time i didn't know daybreaker copied your specials lmao so i did the run, felt very underwhelmed, saw haelian's first eos video and felt incredibly dumb; needless to say I have nothing but praise for torches rn and all of them feel pretty good
That's weird because both Weed Killer and Exceptional talent was working with daybreaker in the beginning. I think they started to consider it as an attack rather than an omega attack.
re: the swap boon isn't that good because you usually don't need that many poms on things, you're right but also i had the funniest run when i took hera's swap boon which offered me to swap rare hitch sprint for epic lvl 4 apollo sprint (this was PRE-FIRST PATCH before they normalized how much that boon increases your speed) immediately putting me at like 70-something% faster sprint, and then i took a pom slice in erebus end shop and it hit the sprint again giving me 80% faster sprint and again, all of it was before first patch, apollo's sprint boon increased the sprint speed like crazy, i was fully zig-zagging around with no control of where i'd end up and kept running into enemy attacks. needless to say grandpa killed me
I think Weed Killer does work on the Daybreaker, but only its final explosion. The base explosion is 200 damage, and then when it hit Hecate it did 400. Around 12:20.

You should try this i used zeus on special and aphro on attack on aspect of medea and i noticed while playing that the special hits faster than attack so if u use that combo u do zeus blitz every attack+special u can also get the boon that gives the chande to double zeus blitz
Inverted Spark would probably go crazy with Aspect of Moros since those Attacks linger for longer than Eos or Melinoe aspects

I feel like scorch should start to tick down damage faster once the amount reaches a kill value.
I need to try apollo legendary on Charon's axe, get the hammer that fires the omega special 2 times and see what happens

seems like only the actual projectile of the omega attack counts as the omega since i got it to crit with the death arcana (40->120) and the explosion counts as normal attack

I don't get the hate for old Eos. I only used it a couple of times before the patch, but it was my favorite torch aspect, and I'd honestly call it almost on par with new Mel, which is my favorite on the current patch.
@haelian I have actually gotten a hammer with echo (albeit in the previous patch)
Suggestion, how about you try 42 fear, that lets one take only rank 2 vow of scars so you can heal, keep your arcana and have no timelimit, otherwise it is hell and I would like to see how far you get,
Does it move towards where you start the dash or end the dash? I can't really tell by watching.

I have tried at least 5 times to get Apollo legendary, the game won’t give it to me.
Apollo/Hera legendary is pretty kill. Not sure if the slave mob is supposed to be immortal or if that’s a bug though

Eh, if you’re dashing constantly, it’s honestly fine, the bigger problem is that like, you have to dash either directly towards (but not past) or directly away from the enemy to actually hit them
I'm guessing rather than let the ghosts pile up they want you holding omega attack while constantly dashing to try and make every single one hit twice, like a dps boost rather than burst damage
ironically it probably works a lot better with aspect of moros, but i haven't tried that hammer on that aspect yet
@@conorhannon3352 It's really good with Moros, torches seem to be in a good spot right now (except for the broken hammers).
@@ogkdr i miss old torch. all new torches are about using special attack but special attack is ehhhh. I never go close to enemy with torches. I just sit at perfect max distance of the primary and never take any damage. I don't know why i would want to use a ranged weapon as melee weapon. Like i'd just play axe or staff or even skull for that.
Honestly scorch would be way better if it ticked down faster the bigger the scorch on the enemy was, so as it got smaller it would start to tick slower for example if going from 400 to 200 took 1 sec then going from 200 to 100 would also take 1 sec. Would give room for bigger scorch damage to shine and for scorch-related effects including origination to be useful
I just tried to do a double daybreaker build today, but I didn't get 2 ghosts even though I got the Apollo legendary. Does anyone know why that happened?
there is also a hammer that makes ur attacks split the first time they hit an enemy which spawns in a second daybreak. combine this with the apollo legendary and you can clone em like crazy

A fun Eos build that works great is zeus on attack and posidon on special, the blast from daybreaker apply blitz and you can activate it while spamming your specials, this also works toward getting their duo for more lightning damage, had a lot of fun doing this one
Been watching your videos on hades 2, just wondering what do you think about Sworn? It plays alot like hades and is multiplayer, and there is a new demo out right now with more stuff. Not advertising or anything, just figured you've probably already played it.
Inverted Spark on daybreaker feels awful most of the time because daybreaker tracks and you are ruining the tracking.
How about on the aspect of Persephone trying a set with the duo between heph and Poseidon? Since Poseidon's omega casts pops straight away I thought it would be better than having to wait for Apollo's.
Gosh, i love the random sound Dan make sometime, It make the commentary so much more engaging.
They could add a duo that reduces the diminishing return of poms.
I think Weed Killer not affecting Daybreaker is at least mostly intended. They phrased it very explicitly as "Your omega attack fires a Daybreaker", which then deals "daybreaker blast damage". That's quite explicitly not your omega attack itself.
I guess but Daybreaker then scales off of Attack bonuses. Why one and not the other? Why Attack in particular when your Omega Attack is what summons it?
@@Haelian probably because if it copied your omega special, it would fire a new daybreaker itself, leading to infinite duration or other problems. So the attacks it fires are regular attacks, but it can copy both types of special, since there's no regression there?

Ok so this is totally unrelated to this video but do you think a build with the infusion boons self-healing from Apollo and tough grit from Demeter (if I got names wrong sorry) would allow you to not be hurt by chronos? Unless his insta kill isn’t affected by tough grit I don’t think he could dish out enough damage to kill you. Idk maybe it’s too specific of a run since two infusions may be a stretch or maybe inadequate content.
Appolo's infusion is 35% OF the hit. so of the hit is 35, then you heal 12 hp. phoenix skin is a lot better with demester infusion. The thing with demester infusion is it costs 6 earth so your really only picking her if you get chaos boon that gives you +2 on every element. if you get this combination on max fear, it is one of the ways to beat it assuming you didn't take the -100% hp fear.
@@dodang_9147yeah totally misread self healing. I didn’t realise it meant of the hit not the total hp. Still, given you get tough grit and some other healing boon, a tank run is possible.
When I first thought about this combination, I was expecting Hera to be the attack while Hestia as the special. That way, you only have to focus on creating the daybreaker once per direction and then turn to summon the specials that deals continuos DPS
