Mainly because it's the surface, since it's shorter than the underworld
Possessed array is so much more broken than it seems reading it
idk i felt like that shit sounded broken when i first read it. it's basically a double attack with extra synergies

I can see why they removed the downside but it’s definitely a bit too powerful right now
15:15 Crystal Figurine can give you a Rank 4 Arcana card (Heroic) if you have the Keepsake +1 Level Duo boon with Demeter and Hera (at least pre-EA patch 2). IIRC, the only Keepsakes not affected (i.e. the ones that can't go to level 4) are the God Keepsakes and the Aromantic Phial from Narcissus. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to get Rank 5 cards because the Duo boon only upgrades future keepsakes; otherwise, you could go into a run with 0 Arcana chosen (supposed you didn't have the Awakened cards or had Vow of Abandon) and Crystal Figurine equipped, get the Duo boon in Ephyra, get one Rank 4 card from Crystal Figurine, and upgrade it again with Circe.
Someone had a really good write up about this exact build on the Hades subreddit. Cool to actually see it in action.
I read the post and finished both tartarus and surface on 32 fear a day later. It's broken af so use it while it lasts ;)
But is it really better than the damage output than if if he had used aspect of Medea or Persephone?
@@Mugsi At 32 Fear, the advantage is that you can play ranged. Throw skulls and dash in to trigger possessed array. I never even used the special.

Yeah that's a different boon. 1 boon to draw an inactive card and activate it, 1 boon to draw a currently active card and make it better
I'm so glad Haelian did this exact run, I commented on his Persephone vid about it a few days ago in hopes of him trying it. I want everyone to see how broken this hammer is on the skull lmao
Absolutely insane. I know this was a lucky run, but possessed array is surely getting nerfed in the next patch 😅

@@Annokhwell it kinda ruined the flow with the skulls bc of the time to drop. So I’m guessing they did that to try and make it used more. They are gonna change it in sure
That's why I'm going to go try this out right now. I don't always enjoy destroying the challenge for myself, but it's a nice treat on occasion.
I prefer the surface, I think ephyra is the main reason why. I like how you can see all the doors and choose and I like the little bonus rooms.
I hope Olympus is similar.
I'm curious how they'll do that. Seems like there's still 2 more regions to be released, assuming it matches the underworld. I'm guessing it'll be like, the climb up mount Olympus vs the city of the gods on top. If that's the case, I imagine the climb will be randomized while the acropolis will have a similarly semi-permanent layout.
someone may have said this already, but not only can you potentially level your arcana cards to Heroic, you can also potentially level weapons aspects to "Duo" rarity! i got hephy's lego during a run and it leveled my maxed out melinoë aspect axe to green rarity:D

fun fact all keepsakes have a heroic version as well and you can see them if you change keepsake after getting the duo boon that upgrades them
Lvl 4 keepsakes are in the programming as well

I just got Possessed Array for the first time today and it was comically powerful. Very fun to use though.

How do you unlock the offering requirements on the boom page?
My first win against Chronos was with possessed array. It is soo good. Will 100% get nerfed, but it is what it is. It will still be fun either way. Recovering from bad luck and making a good run is even more fun! Love the content! Love you all! Have a wonderful day!
Would it be better to get Apollo on special to unlock the legendary and get Aphro on attack for the extra damage?

I finally got a w with the guns using a similar build, i got the hammer that gives you more bullets and it was just stupid op at the end
I had a bad run but when I got Possessed Array everything changed and started to deal massive damage. Definitely super broken
That's the only time when the omega attack for the skull matters

They chose Tarot cards for that system for a number of reasons, I'm sure. But, inverted cards is certainly one of them.
Mel skull was my first 32 fear, it's bazonkers
The overworld enemy at 4:56 is so BS. I lost an entire DD to them during a 32 Fear attempt because they barrelled me from off screen when I had the 100% extra damage on first hit vow 😢
I'm guessing the other trinkets are unlocked through going to the surface?

How do you pull up that window for noon requirements? 50 hours in I’ve never seen something stating that could be done
it's in the book of shadows, but you need an incantation to see boons
I unfortunately don't know the criteria to unlock the incantation but my guess is that it's related to interacting with characters

ive been doing runs gaining enough gold to buy nightmare if its in final shop and collecting bones to purchase nightmare from charon at home. saving up for the incoming new weapon and legendary aspects if we get them.
