  • All I can say is WOW! This is just an amazing vocal performance packed with raw emotion. You just HAVE to watch this.
Welcome to my “Modern Life for the 70's Mind” UA-cam Channel. On this channel, I not only take a look at the songs and history that made us who we are today, but also introduce you to today's modern music as well. Any songs that combine the two are always a winner. I've always loved music and have always tried to keep a balance between the classic music I fell in love with and today's MUCH DIFFERENT sounds. Here's we'll analyze both. We’ll even take some time and revisit some of the old parts of our past that have disappeared from today’s shelves and most people’s memories, I call it Bob's Cabinet of Curiosity. Let’s relive those moments together! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to check in. I appreciate it more than I can say here.

Of course I liked this reaction. And I'm super happy to see that you reacted the way you did, too. I was kinda hoping that, based off of the other Norwegian artists that you have liked so far. Sigrid write all of her material, and this one is indeed from her brain. I believe there is another song out there by the same name, by a rather famous artist, but I can't recall by whom. This song is a bit different from Sigrid, as she's mostly in the pop genre, but the sucker for voices that I am, I'm still enjoying listening to her voice and watching her energy. She's a VERY genuine artist, as you will see. This is not to say that her pop stuff isn't good, because it really is. It's just not my preferred genre so to speak. Sigrid is another artist from Norway that goes somewhat beneath the radar. Underrated if you will. Gotta go now, but I'll talk to you soon. Have a great Sunday ! Norway out :-)

Hi, Modern Life for the 70's Mind, thank you for a very nice reaction. You are expressive yourself:)
You picked the right one to start to know her. The recording was done in her parents home! She does conserts in US the 4' and 6' of april this year, The fonda Theatre, LA and Brooklyn Steel, Brooklyn.
Her pop-music is a kind of different from the mainstream and sometimes it needs several listenings. She has released two EP’s and the debut album Suckerpunch in 2019.
Sigrid (25 - norwegian) won the BBC sound of 2018 (synth-pop!). Other winners from the past: Adele, 50 cent, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding... She is the first artist outside UK and America to win the award. Her songs can be vulnerable and an explosion of feelings. Her concerts are known for «feeling good vibes» and energy on the stage. Her music is empowering, and she is just being herself….in jeans most of the time!
Sigrid has released three new songs from her new upcoming album the 6’ of may this year:
Mirror, Burning bridges and the latest It gets dark
    Sigrid - Mirror - UA-cam
    (Funfact:
US: Sigrid scores her first No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart as "Mirror" shines atop the survey dated Sept. 4. She was very surprised!)
    Sigrid - Burning Bridges - UA-cam
Sigrid is known for upbeat songs.
What’s interesting is that she often makes both an upbeat and acoustic version of the same song. That tells me she is something! Why not do both in one reaction and you will see the artist? Acoustic, a must! So different and beautiful. Video was taken at a street in London. I think you will love it.
Sigrid - Burning Bridges (Up Close, Acoustic) - UA-cam
    Sigrid - It Gets Dark - UA-cam
This one is a kind of different, more pop-rocky
    Other recommendations:
Home to you ( It was part of the soundtrack in Motion Movie Aeronauts 2019)
Sigrid - Home To You (Live on Stand Up To Cancer UK 2021) - UA-cam
