I recently installed an APR Stage-1 '93 high torque' and a TCU tune on my MK7 GTI Sport. Holy crap. My bone stock MK7 was not far behind my stage-1 MK6 with 260 hp and 320 lbs./ft. Bone stock, the MK7's IS20 turbo and fuel pump flows much better on the top end than a stage 1 MK6 with a K03 turbo. An APR stage-1 MK7 is EXTREMELY impressive and I have no reason to doubt their claim of 321 hp and 352 lbs./ft of torque. Acceleration on the HWY is comparable to a BMW M340i or Mercedes A45 AMG. I've also noticed my oil temps are cooler, averaging 205-208F compared to 215-220F stock.

If I could find the right injectors and such for the E85 setup, I could probably make another 20-30hp. I've driven it twice on the track last summer and I like to do motorway pulls every now and again. It is also my daily driver in varied traffic with almost 70k miles. NO clutch issues or any wear indication what so ever.

@Jonny R1 really depends what you want out of the car. More you want to feel the tq/pull the more your clutch could slip. Why have the power to always have the thought in your head. Imo best clutch is Sachs SRE. Upgraded disc and pressure plate, reuses an oem flywheel for oem drivability and cost effectiveness. Then you can dump the clutch on occasion and floor it in lower rpms. 1000% worth it. I think I paid 600+500 install. Never slipped and sold the car 35k miles later. Jb4 made my mk7.5 slip. Same clutch rating since mk5. Sad.
