Congrats man, I can wait to see you out there crushing the competition. When I tuned my ‘22R with Unitronic, a message pops up telling you that some cars 2019 and later require the hood to be open…I just popped it and it was fine. Also Im the guy with the Stage 2 Uni who ran an 11.64@ 119mph. I had a check engine when I had the downpipe installed and we assumed it was because of the cat or cat relocation under the car. Turns out we forgot to plug in the upstream O2 sensor. It was laggy but I thought it was the tune. Funny I ran that 11.64 in “limp mode.” It’s plugged back in and way smoother now…we will see what I can do next weekend.
APR PLUS is still available, providing power train warranty protection (no other tuning software does this to the best of my knowledge). It provides at least as much HP as your current tune but may cost more. There are two tuning shops that are authorized APR dealers right there in Las Vegas. It may be worth the extra cost for the peace of mind.
Easily my favorite R content channel now. I recently went with the low torque stage 1+ file from Uni. I’m excited to see how 034’s file treats you. Keep up the content man.
There are about 30 or 40 gas stations in my town. Only one station sells 93 octane and the guy who sells it, knows that. It costs $5.19 as opposed to 91 which can be found for about $3.60. 93 is only about 4 bucks in San Antonio so whenever I get out there I make sure to fill up.
Damn you did it. Didn’t expect it but that should add to the fun. My guess is a 12.0 at 114-115 mph as that tune is mild without that TCU tune putting a damper on power and torque
@@JVette01 Interesting. Idk if it’s because of the 91 octane file or just how 034 has it set up. I have seen a good amount of Unitronic R with locked TCU do like 11.7-11.8 at 116 mph give or take. Oh well. Gotta wait it out

Can some one explain what the dif was between the low tq and the other stage 1 tune like dont do the stage 1 regular tune if u didnt upgrade ur clutch or ?
DSG cars will be fine, but they recommend the low torque for stock manual clutches or DSGs without a tcu tune. I actually liked the high torque much better.
Have you had any issues with low tq tune? My 23 S3 on a low tq file does this scary thing where it downshifts and the car doesnt accelerate. I figured since I cannot tune the trans, it would be limited, which it is, but I was surprised it was still a pretty noticeable difference. I'd say maybe 20-30hp.
Awesome to see you finally tuned it, I went with 034 also and couldn't be happier with the smooth power delivery and reliability so far

I have 034 tune on my 40AE 6MT with the high torque file on the stock clutch. So far I’m happy with it.

You need to have battery charger on the car during flash. Opening the hood is the physical unlock method for new VWs to prevent over the air attacks.
FYI, I think it takes several miles for the tune to calibrate itself before you get the full power delivery.
