      The footprint had a good match with his and this means that he was there but doesn't say that he did it. Why no one speaks about the other 2bloods of males found on the crime scene? Why no one ever asked them if they hired someone or if they were part of some group?

      @@letsgetlit2829 The blood was different from the victim and different from Jens as well.... Contamination should still be explained. There's no Jens blood, just his footprint. He was there but not sure he did it and for sure not alone. Also Elisabeth, her dna there doesn't explain the murder because she lived there and there was no her blood. The killer must have lost blood. There are other people involved too.

    A guilty person can give false descriptions of the crime scene on purpose. Not to forget all the descriptions that were correct.

      That’s the point. Even more important, there really aren’t that many mistakes. That’s a lie. The most famous point had been the clothing. But in his confession he first says he can’t remember. Being asked again, he then guesses the victim might have worn jeans. If anything, not remembering minor details speaks for the authenticity of the statement. Brains just don’t save every detail. Made up stories do. When it comes to him saying the crime scene wasn’t messed up enough, considering the way the fight went down, on the other hand, one has to take into account the possibility that Söring exaggerated the victims initial assault, because at that time he was still hoping for mitigating circumstances or even wanted to present the murder as self defense. All this does not weaken the plausibility of his confession, which contains a huge amount of extremely specific details.

    People act like he's a saint now? give me a break! IF he was innocent (who really knows?) he: have the idea to do a false confection because he was a diplomat privilege son, lied to police to cover a murder of two innocents, escaped from the country with the killer and only went back the US when they got caught. In his confection he was extremely arrogant and proud. I never hear him say sorry to the innocent couple killed brutally in front of each other, sorry to them for covering their killer and never showed any emotion. He's not a good person and he ended in prison because of his bad decision. I do not believe hi is a victims of his girlfriend, he was an adult who knew right from wrong.

There would have to be more of a battle with probably both parents trying to fend off the assailant. I too belive they were both there and each killed a parent. They have no conscience and are sociopaths so they both are able to lie away convincingly

His last confession he made was 1986 in London, in the presence of prosecutor Bernd König and his own lawyer Andreas Frieser. A mistake? Four years in a row? Despite legal advice?     Theres a german Podcast called "System Göhring" which makes clear that he actually is the killer. Jens Söhring is very manipulative. Since hes back in germany, hes always been in media (also many youtubers interviewed him) and hes always telling the story his way but hiding the important facts. Idk if theres an english podcast but i changed my opinion about him, like many other germans.

      There’s many problems with Söring‘s explanations (that’s his name by the way), but the podcast you mentioned is just as biased and leaves out just as many facts.

    Pretty sure the spoilt rich heroin addict daughter is a more likely suspect than some young nerdy kid. He was in love and besotted with her. She was vindictive and manipulative. She even tried to say her mother sexually abused her. She admitted to constantly lying and exaggerating things. She was a brat who didn’t get her own way, was a drug addict, and killed her parents in a fit of rage

    I don't buy the "I gave a false confession" BS
    He did not confess,
    While in a British prison he spent 3+ years fighting an American arrest warrant and only agreed to return once the death penalty was off the table, that does not sound like a confession,
    He did not plea guilty he was found guilty,
    His undying love for the victim and daughter of the real victims is also BS
    He murdered the parents and made a mess of the crime scene which led to his arrest in the UK, that does not sound like innocence or someone blinded by love,

      @@missluciddreams3472 the killer didn't walk free. His girlfriend was also imprisoned for a long time, even though they could never prove she is the murdered, the same way they proved his innocence.
      Regardless of his innocence, he seems off to me. Something is not right about him,but since I am not familiar with the case, I can't say anything.

    He's a liar. He's very manipulative. He makes people believe anything. I believed him too. But as I dug deeper, I knew. He's the killer. It doesn't matter anymore, because in Germany he would only have been jailed for 20 years. You have to give him one thing. He's a very interesting personality. But he alone will have to live with the knowledge. And God will judge him.

    Seeing him so happy it brought a smile to my face. Although, I will never understand confessing to something I didn't do. But he was young and his love was strong for her. He did everything he could to protect the "so-called" love of his life. Young'un's are so naive. Bet he has a lot of regrets now. But I'm happy that he can start getting back to a normal life.

    I was SO glad to see him released. I saw the documentary on this case well over a year ago and it kept me up at night seeing that he was still imprisoned.

    He didn't do it. No, I wasn't there, but I believe his story.
    And before anyone starts name-calling, please consider that he was on a scholarship for gifted students and was the best student in English classes despite having German as native language (and btw he still speaks German without any accent at all). That's remarkable to say the least.
    Sadly, he met the wrong girl and made one terrible mistake.
    I am so happy he is free now.

      @@strategon28I don’t think so, he was 18 at that time when the crime was committed and the ex girlfriend has admitted to being manipulative on stand. She was also sexually abused by her mother (there were evidence of naked photos of her kept by her mother) so she has a motive to kill her mother but also, years later, they had tested DNAs that belongs to 5 individuals including the ex girlfriend, none of them were his.

      Being bilingual isn’t that rare of a trait. Especially for someone who lived in the US for the majority of his younger years. And EH was on a scholarship too. So, how is that supposed to prove anything?

      @@edplaysdrums8435 When I first saw the movie "The Promise" I also thought: "Wow, he must be innocent." But after thinking a bit longer about the case and reading some interesting stuff, too many contractions were appearing. In fact, the movie "The Promise" is a one-sided fairy tale. The guilt of JS is crystal clear, even if he denies it still today (and will probably deny it until his last days ... I fear, he is a prisoner of his own mind).

    He willingly went in there and confessed to a murder he says he didn’t commit in a foreign country. I can’t really find it within me to feel that sorry for him. His decisions still played a large roll in his arrest.
