      chavita2007 they hated so parents so much that they couldn't wait until they spend their inheritance. Remember these boys were spending money left and right. Lyle brought a Rolex, Porsche Carrera, Chuck's spring cafe and Buffalo wings restaurant in Princeton. Erik got himself tennis coach and competed matches in Israel. Yeah it was about the inheritance.

      Whitney Pyant if they killed their parents obviously is because they hate them, why to wait to spend the money?, they were molested and they were very angry that's the way I guess they pay them back for hurting them since they were little, killing them and spending their money

    People keep asking why the mother was shot so many times....killed .I know a man who was abused by his dad. His mother watched and did nothing to protect him.She didn't want to offend or make his dad mad.She said he would leave them and they would lose the wealth they were living in.The man almost killed his mother, years later when staying for a short while with her.His rage at her was worse than he had for his dad.She sacrificed her son for money and living well.He felt his dad was nuts.....but his mother knew better and could of left or in some way protected him.He felt she chose money over her son's life,safety,happiness. Her son didn't come first.Her husband didn't come first..... Money did.

    • @AliasPaine
      @AliasPaine 7 років тому +298

      +Fozzy Bear
      AFAIK, neither brother has money; IIRC, whatever was left of their inheritance was spent on legal fees and the rest to taxes, etc. Then - doing a quick Google - after they lost the right to the inheritance due to their conviction, the money was split among family members. Their grandmother was loyal to them even after their conviction and allegedly kept them in her will but IDK if they got anything if/when she passed. (articles.sun-sentinel.com/1996-03-21/news/9603200727_1_menendez-estate-erik-menendez-brothers-defense)
      Also, IIRC, Erik's wife actually sends him money - and Lyle has been married twice (still married to the second one, I believe) & those wives, I'm sure, sent/send him money... (his first wife, IIRC, divorced him after discovering he was writing to another woman (maybe the second wife, IDK) who I'm sure was sending him money, as I believe others were/are.)
      And being married doesn't mean they aren't getting it on with other inmates, don't be ridiculous. LOL

      @fozzybear8878 7 років тому +2

      I never said they weren't. ;-) Just that being married is meaningless; the only way they're going to get some is with other inmates since conjugal visits are forbidden - anyone who thinks their being married means they aren't getting it on with their fellow inmates is quite naive. LOL

    Signs that an adult is a sexual abuser:
    1. They refuse to allow a child sufficient privacy or to make their own decisions on personal matters.
    2. Insist on time alone with a child with no interruptions.
    3. Buy children expensive gifts or give them money for no apparent reason.
    4. Frequently walk in on children/teenagers in the bathroom.
    5. Treat a particular child as a favourite, making them feel 'special' compared with others in the family.
    6. Pick on a particular child.
    Jose Menendez did ALL of these things. His wealth was a perfect cover for his behavior; people perceive his sons as spoiled but he used his money and power to control them. He was massively controlling; he showered with his sons, monitored their movements whenever he could. He had so much "alone time" with the boys and often behind a locked door; parent or not, there is something wrong with that. He made Lyle his "favorite" and Erik was the "throwaway child". He victimized his sons in different ways and Kitty knew this and was involved to some degree.

Apparently Erik thought being in jail felt like a vacation because he was finally free. They didn't have a normal upbringing or a normal relationship with their parents (obviously). There were actually two TV movies made about this case, which aired the same year - "Honor Thy Father And Thy Mother: The True Story Of The Menendez Murders" (1994) and "Menendez: A Killing In Beverly Hills" (1994). Both ended with the first trial's hung juries.

    The letter sent to an adult as a child proves YEARS of abuse as well as a doctor's examination of their bottoms that the judge did not allow in court (for his own personal reasons?). This is because we have had lawyers and judges who wrote the loopholes in the criminal laws who have empathy for sexual offenders. They developed empathy because they committed similar crimes against humanity to get into their high school cliques, and college fraternities. They wrote these loopholes to get their friends, family, and even themselves off the hook. Such as two witnesses needed to prosecute a rape trial, and screaming for help instead of NO (however that too can be a double edge sword as well), and other misogynistic garbage. This is what I call American Junk Values. I think anyone who rapes a child and any woman who prostitutes herself to a husband or boyfriend knowing he is raping her children should have their heads taken off publicly to deter other societal termites. In my opinion, these brothers did what Child Protective Services and the Criminal Justice System should have done but failed immensely. Yet employees, family, and friends failed them that knew there was something really sick and wrong going on, and for selfish reasons did nothing as well. Let's face it, we live in a society that doesn't want to prosecute rich and famous scumbags like Bill Cosby for drugging and raping over 50 women either! Thanks to the legal loophole of the statute of limitation on reporting rape, he will never serve a day in jail. Also celebrity and/or wealth really sways a judge, a criminal law attorney wanting to rub shoulders with the rich and famous, and an under educated wannabe rich jury. Have you ever wondered why a woman in Texas is doing life in prison for smoking cannabis (even though the U.S. Government has known since 1974 that it makes cancer cells commit suicide); and on the other hand, a male who rapes and nearly strangles his victims to death is out in 2 to 5 years? It is because our predominantly male run government really does not care about the psychological well being nor the physical safety of women and children, past, present, and future victims.

      They weren't little kids who committed this crime, they were adults. While what they allege happened to them is awful, they were adults and they had a choice and they could have gone to get help. They could have gone to the police or a medical professional and turned their father in for his alleged abuse but they didn't. They chose to take their parents lives and despite allegedly being a victim, that doesn't dismiss the fact that they MURDERED THEIR PARENTS

    As I sit here and listen to this story, I feel nothing but "sadness" for these 2 brothers. It appears through testimony that their lives have been doomed towards punishment. (When does the suffering stop?) It's bad enough their lifetime childhood memories have been destroyed, but their adult years have been taken away as well. As a victim of sexual abuse, age 6: I can tell you the emotional pain/memory never dissipates nor does the need for Justice. It has been many decades & I as a physically disabled senior today remain haunted by what transpired many years ago.. These 2 boys have suffered long enough: it is time to bring them home and permit them to have some resemblance of normalcy for their life. Unfortunately, I never received JUSTICE: however, i am convinced through my faith that the predators will be judged by our Heavenly Father encountering a "Mighty Day of Reckoning." Thank u for listening.
