Those with the same psychological patterns fill find each other. Magetism of emotional lack.
Clintons are a good example to 😮😊
These 2 remind me of the 1930’s case of Leopold and Loeb. 2 very privileged students at the University of Chicago. They had a professor who would lecture on how, if you had superior intelligence, you could commit any crime and get away with it.
They murdered a 9 year old neighbor boy but one of the perps dropped his glasses which had a very unique hinge. Basically one of a kind. They were sentence to life in prison. That would be a great case to cover Dr Grande!
I would love that too!
Agree, I thought of Leopold and Loeb, also the pair bond theory, in which two people form a third personality that is capable of heinous crime. Alone, neither individual would harm a person.
Yes, their philosophical musings in their letters also reminded me of Hitchcock's "The Rope". Not sure but I think that was based on these true events?
Yes, I’d like to see this one covered
@@orfamayQ now that you mention that I agree! Back in those times murder would result in the electric chair. But because of their family’s wealth they avoided the chair. Hitchcock was a genius imo!
Elizabeth was legally an adut. All she needed to do to be rid of her parents, was to walk away. Don't tell them where she was going, get a job, and truly declare her independence.
Just watched the Netflix documentary. I agree, I was stunned that John Grisham was taken in by this narcissist or psychopath. They are both equally narcissistic, and never ever once showed one bit of remorse for two people brutally murdered. The German guy is in Germany shown, smiling Broadly while signing autographs for his story about his life, and I assume his terrible years in prison for a crime, he claims he did not commit. Somewhere else I saw a comment where someone said Netflix was also paying him for this series, and it has been surmised that he was also obsessed with money. He also had the narcissistic smirk throughout the documentary.
Great points on celebrities acting on emotional reasoning, that’s so very true.
Excellent analysis Dr. Grande, one of the reasons why I appreciate your work so much is because, unlike the celebrities, your opinions are always based on logic. Thank you for all that you do.❤️

My heart sinks at the way families treat their members. I have learned so much from Dr. G. My mom is a Pam Hupp type and I’m lucky to be alive. Thank you for helping me understand my family. Best regards to you and yours, Dr. Grande.
I hear "hello this is Dr Grande" ..and I feel so relaxed and chill😌regardless of the topic!!😀❤
I believe they each killed a parent from behind. Or at least began the killings that way. On the Netflix series about this Jens said "I didnt commit a double murder". To me that sounds like someone parsing their words to be telling "a truth". He is rationalizing the lie by being truthful that he did not kill 2 people. He can didn't say "i didn't kill one of them and not the other".
I didn't hear anyone in the Netflix show ask that it consider that they each may have killed one parent.
I think that is what happened as well. Very sick and evil.
I think this theory didn’t come up because there is absolutely no evidence to support it. She stayed behind to create an alibi, and he committed the murders because his arrogance as to his own intelligence and his belief that he could manipulate the German legal system caused him to have misplaced confidence that either he could get away with it or, at worst, face only 10 years in prison in Germany. There is plenty of compelling evidence to support the prosecution’s theory of the case. He also testified. The jury sat through all of his testimony and weighed his credibility. I think it’s correct to defer to the finder of fact in a case supported by testimony from the defendant himself, testimony from the defendant’s co-conspirator, the defendant’s confession, the defendant’s own written letters, and the defendant’s actions subsequent to the murder evidencing a consciousness of guilt. There is no need to indulge in unsupported, speculative theories.

They should both be in jail for life. How is it that someone can receive 2 life sentences for murdering someone, and then get released & sent back to another country?!?! How is that justice???
Probably paid for an expensive lawyer. Sickening !!!!
Probably didn’t want to keep them in our jails here. Let their own countries deal with them.
I think there is no crime ( maybe except youre Adolf Hitler lol) one can do to be spending his life from 20 years old till his or her death.

I'm literally waiting every day for your next video. Wtg. And the humor... like fine champagne... rare and very dry. Cheers.
Dr. Grande, there is a story breaking about a young woman named Lewishena Browning. She is all over social media because she lied about being the cousin of the 14 year old young man who lost his life on an amusement park ride. This woman has been crying about cleaning up his blood, had a whole balloon send-off ceremony at the location of the incident and is even doing crowd funding. The boy's family has said they have never seen this woman before and she is not related to them. It's insane the magnitude of what she's doing for attention. I hope you see this comment because this is definitely a case I'd love for you to analyze. This chic is crazy as hell. Everyone is so perplexed!
Oh wow!

I'm curious how the parole system works. Seems like they should still be behind bars. Just my $.02
There are people on fairly minor drug charges who will never be paroled
Wonderful analysis, Dr. Grande! Your content is always so interesting and I love that I have something to look forward to every single day! ❤️
There are a lot of actors and actresses who do not really know how to be objective.
That was a really interesting account of how Jens said that Elizabeth took advantage of him.
These are very fascinating cases, it is hard to imagine people actually discussing things like killing their parents.
Thank you for the video.
Being the victim of emotional abuse by a rich girl two years major of him brought a lot sympathy to Jens, especially those of female journalists wanting to protect... But killing someone cannot be excused with codependent personality traits. Yes he was obsessed with her, emotionally overwhelmed ( as it is often the case with murder ) but responsible and not innocent. Period.
@@susannabonke8552 Would you consider that to be an objective and accurate expression of your values?
Hi Dr. Grande! I heard about the case of Jens Söring around 10 years ago and have been following it on and off ever since. If it came to the question about guilt or innocence I was always on the fence. Most of the available data that existed 10 years ago (TV shows, documentarys, Wikipedia) in the german speaking sphere portraid Sörings narrative as an inocent victim. I was always sceptical about this narrative. It was too simplistic.
Your video was the first I found that showed a counter narrative and made it crystal clear, that Söring was responsable for the murders and has been lying to the public ever since. I did some research after I watched your video and found out that thanks to the work of Andrew Hammel and the Wright Report a counter narrative could establish itself over the last couple of years. The consequence is, that everywhere where Söring appears on the internet (TV shows, podcasts, youtube channels, Wikipedia), people will comment and refference the work of Andrew Hammel and the Wright report. I think he soon will be cancelled and disappear from the public face.
Well said!
Yes I think so too. I am German and at first, he made everyone believe, he is innocent, but there are more and more negative voices, PodCasts and other kinds of media, who claim his guilt. Still he is very active on social media and in shows claiming his innocence and having a huge platform as a victim of a false sentence. And also it is so right, that even if he did not carry out the murders himself, he is still equally guilty...
He's wearing Dahmer like glasses, not a good sign in my view.
That was an excellent analysis. Wow! Put together and presented making us feel as if we are in the room with Jens and Emily 😱
Who's Emily?
How to avoid the death penalty: DON’T MURDER ANYONE
… and don’t get near anywhere where a murder might happen
- or just keep lying in court and then you can avoid both the death penalty and eventually get out of jail - that’s what they did
BOTH GUILTY! BOTH WAS THERE!The fact they stick to the story only one of them was on the crime scene, helps both of them to come free and after freedom it would help too!
The guy has a youtube channel and Netflix lied
Exactly!!! These two were /are very intelligent individuals...this is what people are forgetting. Soering is doing WAY too much talking to be innocent!! An innocent person don't have to do all that!! Truth alone fight for you He has a UA-cam channel and everything, lol. I believe that he was ABSOLUTELY manipulated by Elizabeth to murder her parents, but I think she was at the scene too. And just consider Elizabeth's journals.... people tell you exactly who they are! My GOD GIVEN discernment tells me that they both were involved, and in my personal opinion should have served an actual life sentence!

Hello Dr. Grande, I watched the Netflix Documentation about this case. I do think that Elisabeth was maybe also at the crime scene (Someone took a shower, a hair (hers?) has been found in the bathroom, both had announced their visit at the weekend, Elisabeths favorite cigarette brand Merit was found outside the house). But I also do think Jens has been committing the active part of the murder. His injuries, their love letters, his hatred of the parents, his pressure to proove himself worthy to his girlfriend and the footprint at the crime scene is very suspicious.
My confession is true Dr Grande I love your channel 👍
Celebrities need to realise when to keep the noses out of things they really know very little about. Things like murder are way beyond their expertise. End Of.
They can offer opinions, but we are the ones who should not take them seriously.
Both are guilty
Hey Dr G 🌵awesome to see a new video post! Not surprising that these two were drinking alcohol on the day of the murders. You just never hear anyone say that they did anything smart when they have been drinking. Like many of the subjects in your videos this couple seemed to be suffering from a tragic case of "Can't Break Up itis". Dr G. I do believe that it is now your civic duty to provide the world with a video in your voice reading "Where the Wild Things Are" to teach a little lesson on the underpinnings of the development of prosocial emotional regulation. It would seem that the world needs a refresher course at the moment. Happy Happy Spring!🌷

They welcomed him into their home and hosted him completely unannounced. They sound like nice people to me.
I lived in Lynchburg back when this happened.
These 2 murderers were sentenced to life with the possibility of parole? What were these jurors thinking! 🤔
Maybe because there was some reasonable doubt
This was a brutal double homicide inside the victims' home. It's hard to believe they are both out of prison. Interesting analysis, Dr. G.
It's actually a relief that Mr. Söring is out of prison. He is clearly innocent.
It is kind of justified because they were very young when they committed the crime. But I really believe that in order to get parole the criminal should at least admit that they did it and show remorse. It seems that Haysom did that, but Söring, not at all. He uses his criminal tactics and skills to reverse his public image.
@@brushemteeth9159 Clearly innocent? In which alternate reality plz? There is no other possible male person, bloodtype 0, who could have lost the murderer's blood at the crime scene ... besides a well-known man who for years made several confessions rife with perpetrator knowledge. Above average intelligence. What??? His actions strongly suggest otherwise! Everything he done was idiotic.
High intelligence doesn't guarantee good decisions, just makes them more likely.
It's difficult to feel sympathy for anyone involved in premeditated murder. Especially when 2 people were involved and either of them could've had a conscience eventually. If one was better than the other, that person would've stopped the murder from happening.
Some of these celebrities have been watching too many movies. They don’t know any more than anyone else. It shows the limits of celebrity justice. Dr grande, please consider an episode on mumia, the convicted cop killer
I played so many April fools jokes today it’s really funny how people will believe anything

She killed her mother and he killed her father. Thus the discrepacies in evidence. They were both there at the same time. He tried to take the fall for her
I like your thinking on this. That makes sense regarding the smaller bloody sock foot print.
How do you explain the receiving and signature of the room service in Washington?
@@4LayersOfStrengthi thinking the timing was off. I think they both did it and I think he was so lovesick that he agreed to take the fall. Then common sense kicked in and he turned it on her. I'm not a fairly religious person but I believe the only way he could have redeemed himself was to uphold his initial confession. He was very clearly guilty and only went back on his confession because he fell out of love with her.
I read he confessed because he was convinced that being a son of a diplomat, that would automatically grant him immunity from persecution. He was wrong as it turned out, that only applies to the diplomat himself. I think in Germany it also applies to their close relatives, but not in the US.
