  • Convicted killer Jens Soering is speaking out over a new Netflix docuseries called “Till Murder Do Us Part," filmed about the infamous and brutal 1985 murders of Derek and Nancy Haysom in Bedford County.
The lead investigator who helped send him to prison is also breaking his silence.
After first confessing he committed the crime alone, Soering has spent the last 33 years proclaiming his innocence.
He says he only confessed to save his then-girlfriend Elizabeth Haysom from the electric chair, thinking he would be deported to his home country of Germany.

It would have been better for Jens if, like his girlfriend, he had taken on a new identity and started a new life instead of selling a double murder in dime novels or on Netflix as a romance with a toxic woman. Of course, 33 years in prison in the United States motivated him to do this.
He still lives in the belief that someone will absolve him of his guilt. Not even his father would do this.

    • @hollyhope7227

To take on a new identity here in Germany? Not as easy as in the States. And: germany is the countray of millions of papers. He would never ever get a job. His reputation would make that impossible and he has no degrees for anything. Maybe he could work for amazon and die there. Terrible for an intelligent man. At least he does not live on our social security system. He earns his own money. This would not work if he admitted to be guilty - if he is. I do not know.

Does Jens want us to believe that he spent 33 years in prison because someone else committed a crime? Not even a stupid drunken idiot in love would do that!

For this murderer everything that doesn't fit his carefully curated cluster of feeble excuses constitutes "junk science". He never truly addresses the technicalities and specifics about the sock print that do point to him not others. It has been proven the sock print is not Elizabeth's. The overlay of her footprint is way disimilar from the sock print whereas his overlay shows how high end specifics fit the sock print, like the considerable gap between toes in both prints. When quizzed about that he immediately and robotically avoids the question by coming up with fallacious hearsay.
Another thing he avoids is allowing any new DNA analysis because nowadays DNA science is way more advanced than how it was five, let alone fifteen, years ago. He has been offered this way-out to clean his name but he adamantly refuses to approve of such proceeding.
He keeps saying two unidentified men were there, and assumingly assisted Elizabeth in killing the Haysoms, but the truth is DNA testing has ruled this out. He clings on what one professor says about this while obviating what a group of other experts, including some on "his side", have said about this.

Jens’ arrogance is apparent in his refusal to speak English for an American documentary. His version and hers combined indicate his total guilt. She didn’t kill them. They did it. End of story. They were BOTH did it and should have been found guilty together. There is no way he’d let her do something so dramatic without him. Oh, and BTW this “older woman” BS is exactly that. She was a year older. That’s not sufficient to qualify as an “older woman”. They were co-dependent and I’ll buy that she was there with him, just as her brother said. I think they were both guilty.

Jens Soering made a false confession and saved Elizabeth Haysom's life. That's a fact. Evidence is their letters private. Söring made his first confession to a German public prosecutor's office. His trial was to take place in Germany, but since he had no immunity he had to be extradited to Virginia. In Germany, he would only have received a maximum of 10 years in prison. Therefore, Söring made a false confession so that Elisabeth Haysom does not get a trial.

To all legal professionals in the USA:
    A Jury has been duped
There is no evidence to justify a double murder. That is why Jens Söring's verdict is a miscarriage of justice. Perhaps Netflix can recommend a law firm to file for a retrial. This resumption would be won with a large severance payment. Worldwide, there are law firms outside the U.S. based outside or in the U.S., or lawyers in the U.S., who are not afraid of court because they have nothing to fear, e.g. disadvantages.
Mr Soering must be rehabilitated at all costs.
Please help him whoever is reading this. The truth is that otherwise he will forever remain a double murderer until the end of his life.
He was deprived of his freedom for 33 years, 6 months and 25 days.
It was a deprivation of liberty.
All critics can voluntarily be locked up for a short period of time.

    • @chenoa1704
      @chenoa1704 9 місяців тому +1

The guilt she claims is for lying and manipulating Jen into killing her parents, which is the lesser evil compared to actually claiming responsibility for murdering her parents herself. It's a lot easier to admit you're a liar than it is to admit you're a killer and the legal consequences to being guilty to either are very different. She never wanted Jen to get out because he protested his freedom with the claim that it wasn't him that did the killing and that it was her. If he was believed and set free then it would mean SHE was the killer. I don't know if it would've affected her sentencing or if she could've been tried again (but this time for the murders itself) , but it does seem to me that saying things like "he is as guilty as I am" is just her way of saving her own skin, because if he's found not guilty for the killings then that would fall on HER.
Remember, she only pleaded guilty to two counts of accessory to murder before the fact and her sentence was subject to mandatory parole; she would've been released automatically in 2032, 45 years after her conviction. Jen was the one charged with 2 counts of first degree murder and sentenced to two consecutive life terms. I can imagine that her sentencing was a better deal than his and in order for her to keep it she needed to make sure he took the blame for the first degree murders.

Noreen, I favour your longterm efforts in this case but before you are just adopting Soering hammering his dogmatic arguments for his so called 100% alibi, please ensure having your own background of information straight.
    1. Yale Feldman only testified his own theory about that what is fact. That is only a period of time in which the price for the room service had reached the reception to charge the credit card. Nothing else, no specific time of ordering, ,no specific details of what had been ordered and no specific time of bringing in what had been ordered! The only thing which could help as a fact is the tip log which is missing due to the long term the investigation needed to investigate the events happened in DC!
    2. The "evidence" from the manager of the Outer Circle movie theatre just confirm that the 2 numbered movie tickets of the 10.15 pm show is correct. The theatre have around 280 seats and the printed numbers on the tickets refer to the mid sale of all seats. But nothing more. A 100% alibi would sound like that the manager would had testified that he in person had sold Soering the tickets at around 8 or 9pm. But there are more than one options why Soering and also Haysom could have proceed the murders in LC and also got in possessions of these printed tickets. One great explanation would sound like you go to tge ticket salesperson, declare that you are a stubcollector and that you will pickup two tickets (within a number range) the next day. Wow. What a great plan after the dinner scene had planned out, but the burglary appearance at the crime scene had been replaced by voodooism. The fact that Haysom was so unsecure about this staged movie alibi should be obvious. It was not her idea (Jens told me to buy tickets) and it was faked that both will be able to do do an attack from both directions. More important than Jens' manila envelope from 1991 by the manager of the cinema is the Manila envelope with the tax declarations of Derek Haysom which had been postmarked at April 01 st IN DC! Soering had ignored this strong evidence against both ever since, cause both had been expected to help Derek with it on that Saturday. So the killers had picked it up. What Soering really dislikes at the last minutes of the Netflix documentary is his audio taped freudan promise in which he admitted that both had been driven to Bedford on that Saturday 🤷

    To all critics:
Jens Soering made a false confession and saved Elizabeth Haysom's life. That's a fact. Evidence is their letters private. Söring made his first confession to a German public prosecutor's office. His trial was to take place in Germany, but since he had no immunity he had to be extradited to Virginia. In Germany, he would only have received a maximum of 10 years in prison. That's why Söring made a false confession so that Elisabeth Haysom wouldn't get a trial.

I had a look at the astrology of this crime- they were both there together. Both are guilty and Jens as a Leo just loves the limelight.

Would you mind saying a little more about your theory? I believe in astrology. Also, they say that narcissists accusations are his confesions. I think they were both there, and now they point their fingers to each other.
