Me and buddy changed out the carrier bearing in mine I have a 2 piece rcv prop shaft the 2 piece design makes it easier still had a buddy to help me but only took us about 2 hrs
@@BustedKnuckleVideo I looked on polaris's website and couldn't find nothing on it I was just wondering if you knew ? Can't wait to hear from you and your video on
it is a bit of work and his replacement shaft is way better then oem and stronger ,especially that newly machined flange way stronger and locktite is a god sent
Hey, so I am currently in Disney Oklahoma with a broken x3 propshaft? I have a Halo 30 with RCV axles. Should I order the carbon fiber prop shaft or the chromoly propshaft and why???
I just ordered this exact shaft for my XP1K.... I was told you have to loosen the front diff to get it positioned.... Also, does the rear output flange nut go back on or does this become the slip yoke?
On the rear flange does it just slide on or do you reinstall the factory flange retaining nut? Also what did you guys use for the 12 point bolts on that thing? Mine came with a shorty socket but its way to thick. I can run the bolts about halfway down before the socket pops off the bolts and I'm having a hard time finding anything short enough that'll fit in there.
Great video as usual!! Can't wait to get one in my RZR Turbo. Thanks for the tip on removing the front diff. I'll prob do it that way to save myself a headache.
now that you have been running this one peace drive shaft for 3 years would you use this set up today. i am looking for a new set up for my 2017 Polaris turbo
Please tell me how urs went in so easy. U had to of cut out parts of the video lol bc I did literally exactly what you did and I am trying to slide this thing in and it gets all the way up to the front where the cooler lines run going up to the radiator and won't fit between that and the frame. My rzr is a 2016 turbo..
Hey I was just curious I'm thinking of buying one of these for my 18 1k. I keep cork screwing front drive shafts. Will the rcv hold up to 32s and a lead foot?
Not trying to be a jerk. As previously stated, it's a nice looking piece, and from what I've seen and read, they'll likely last the life of the machine. I'm simply stating that they're expensive. More for the racer than for the average SxS owner.
BustedKnuckleVideo I'll have to try that later tonight, just getting it to slide from the back of the machine all the way up front isn't exactly easy. Maybe there's something wrong with my machine but it's almost to the point of hammering it.
yeah it sucks, If I was ever to do it again I would remove the front diff and slide it in from the front like I did on the RZR Buggy. Atleast you never have to remove it ever again.
BustedKnuckleVideo on the front portion of your skid plate take it off now knock at your pin remove 4 bolts holding then front differential pull your front differential forward your driveshaft will slide right out
ha I did this on my Chevy truck's in the 70's hated the carrier bearing on the drive shaft would replace drive shaft with one peise 1960 62 67 70 etc. and by the way we have one of the best drive shaft shop's here in calif. that will make you any drive shaft for any thing out of super tuff stuff high speed off road you name they will custom make it have shop that maker's custom high 9 inch rear ends for that atv that are new with custom tricks built in there called a high nine made for short wheel base built proof C😎😎L now just when in the he'll are we going to see truck's and suv. off road and God no terdyota's real man's truck's ford dodge Chevy gmc. Do they still make singe piece shaft for the rzr xp 1000, all I see in their website is two piece shaft with carrier bearing.
Boz Kurt nope
This video series I like to call "building a rzr how it should have came from the factory" 😂🤘
pretty much spot on
My thoughts every time I install a new part on my RZR...
Then it would be " i wish i could afford that 50k dollar rzr😔".. want a bad ass ride? U gotta spend homie
You damn right Ratchet Fab! Im following and building mine like this. Oh what a recipe!
Another great video but I would suggest putting a nylock nut on the roll pin replacement bolt.
That or thread locker
Me and buddy changed out the carrier bearing in mine I have a 2 piece rcv prop shaft the 2 piece design makes it easier still had a buddy to help me but only took us about 2 hrs
yeah they no longer offer the one piece
Apparently RCV no longer offers the 1 Piece. Was there a long term issue that presented itself?
I never had a problem but I think some people were getting vibrations at high speeds so they went all to the two piece setup.
What do you think about the new razor drivetrain and motor ? Just wondering how they have it all set up since new model.
seems legit, can't wait to test it out.
@@BustedKnuckleVideo I looked on polaris's website and couldn't find nothing on it I was just wondering if you knew ? Can't wait to hear from you and your video on
Also when's the video on the diffs coming?
We want to get to that for sure
My front u joint has some play and is clacking when warmed up. Do I need to change just the u joint?
at a minimum
Are these shafts available for a 2014 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000? My shaft is getting very clunky.
They have a new 2 piece setup that works well
I know this might be a hard question to answer. Is this drive line solution better then Sandcraft driveline combo with their carrier bearing?
This eliminates the carrier bearing and is only $1k, I just raced king of the hammers with this setup and had no issues
Thank you
anytime
2018 900 rzr4 is there a shaft for them ?
possibly
hows this shaft assembly working for you? mine just went out and I remembered you posting this vid just a little hesitant spending that much
zero issues, about to race King of the Hammers with it
it is a bit of work and his replacement shaft is way better then oem and stronger ,especially that newly machined flange way stronger and locktite is a god sent
It is a tough install but well worth it in the long run
Hey, so I am currently in Disney Oklahoma with a broken x3 propshaft? I have a Halo 30 with RCV axles. Should I order the carbon fiber prop shaft or the chromoly propshaft and why???
I don't think they do the carbon fiber anymore. So I would say Chromoly.
@@BustedKnuckleVideo if they have carbon fiber should I go with it?
I wouldn't
@@BustedKnuckleVideo you are awesome. Chromoly it is!!
I just ordered this exact shaft for my XP1K.... I was told you have to loosen the front diff to get it positioned.... Also, does the rear output flange nut go back on or does this become the slip yoke?
I did not use the rear flange nut. I recommend removing the front diff completely and sliding the shaft in from the front
BustedKnuckleVideo sounds reasonable.... thanks bro

Should be able to find a 1/4" socket to fit. we just slid the flang onto the output without using the flange retaining nut.
BustedKnuckleVideo thanks guys!
anytime glad to help
Great video as usual!! Can't wait to get one in my RZR Turbo. Thanks for the tip on removing the front diff. I'll prob do it that way to save myself a headache.
way better, they have a 2 piece one now too
Where can I order this driveshaft
They don't sell this one piece anymore but they have a two piece that is great. RCVPerformance.com
Would this fit the S 1000? Or is there a different option for that machine?
they have one for all models just about
Awesome. I will look into it. Thank you
no problemo
Do they make these for the 2018 rzr4 ?
they make a 2 piece, no one pieces anymore
@@BustedKnuckleVideo why they stop making the 1 piece??
now that you have been running this one peace drive shaft for 3 years would you use this set up today. i am looking for a new set up for my 2017 Polaris turbo
I think they only make a 2 piece carrier bearing setup now
@@BustedKnuckleVideo So what you are saying the one piece was not a good set up ? just delete the video so we dont waste our time
Where can I get that sticker one the door that size??!!
24x12 www.bustedknucklegear.com
I wish I could find something like that for my ranger. It vibrates terrible and I can’t keep u joints in it.
they make them for rangers as well
reminds me 62 to 64 Chevrolet had carrier bearings give us fits on race cars had put in different drive shafts
So they don't make them for the 4 seat turbo?
Have to ask them about that. I don't think they can be that long without a carrier bearing
They do now!
Does RCV make this shaft for the 2015 xp 1000 fox edition? ( I think it is the same as a regular XP 1000 ) I need one, where do I buy?
Yes they sure do Here is the link to order it from us- bustedknuckleoffroad.com/RCV-Prop-Shafts-for-UTVs_c353.htm

It is a huge PITA! I would recommend taking out the front diff and sliding it in from the front.
Whats go fast? Never heard of the race before
I just meant high speed desert racing type stuff where you are hitting 60-80mph
is that hagan?
His brother
Hey I was just curious I'm thinking of buying one of these for my 18 1k. I keep cork screwing front drive shafts. Will the rcv hold up to 32s and a lead foot?
It will hold up to over 200hp and 32s. I don't worry about my driveline
Lmao... love the bloopers. So let me get this straight.... I should sawzall my RZR in half before I start this install?? Lol 😉😉🤣
lol pretty much
Really nice looking product for a serious and potentially dangerous design flaw, but the website lists it at $1,200... for a driveshaft...
Yet none have ever failed? We race our vehicles so we get the strongest there is. Failure is not an option
Not trying to be a jerk. As previously stated, it's a nice looking piece, and from what I've seen and read, they'll likely last the life of the machine. I'm simply stating that they're expensive. More for the racer than for the average SxS owner.
update video on the ls blazer.
coming soon we hope!
Yeah this isn't nearly as easy as the video shows. This better be worth it!
It helps to unbolt the front diff.
BustedKnuckleVideo I'll have to try that later tonight, just getting it to slide from the back of the machine all the way up front isn't exactly easy. Maybe there's something wrong with my machine but it's almost to the point of hammering it.

Great. Now your really gonna get vibrations from that bolt u ran through the flange and tear up output shaft bearing
Thing is smooth as silk, No vibrations at all
They wouldn't sell them if they were bad lol
Awsome video but you cant order the carbon fiber shaft anymore very sad
I never was a fan of them anyway
More bloopers please lol!
Lol, its more difficult than we make it look
Never ever use bolt instead of roll pin for final build.
We run a bolt in all of ours instead of a roll pin with ZERO issues,
very helpful
works well
Drive Line Service ftw
No issues with our RCV propshafts after a lot of racing and miles
The upgrade cost what 2500 hundred
only 1000
THX for sharing.... (Y)

👍👍

Slow shipping
RCV? its worth the wait
They build these to order so there is a lead time.
Umm and how is that a RZR again, looks like a Wildcat... not the same at all!
Seriously?
Oh crap... Ooops, this comment was meant for a different vid, sorry!! :)
Y'all did that the hard way LOL
What is the easy way? remove the front diff?
BustedKnuckleVideo on the front portion of your skid plate take it off now knock at your pin remove 4 bolts holding then front differential pull your front differential forward your driveshaft will slide right out
