How to Fix RZR Power Steering Issues - Extreme UTV Tech

- On this episode of Extreme UTV Tech we are going to show you how to solve your Polaris RZR Power Steering problems for good! Are you tired of your RZR power steering not working? We have discovered a kit from the folks over at epowersteering that allows you to install the steering that is twice as strong as stock. The steering motor they use is out of a Saturn Vue. It is a 700 watt motor to replace the stock 350 watt factory unit. The kit is completely plug and play. You only have to cut and weld the steering shafts to the proper length. The unit is straight wired from the battery with a 60 amp fuse and makes use of its own ECU. This way your steering will never quit on you while on the trail or racing. It is also strong enough to keep your steering wheel from ripping out of your hands when you hit a big rock at speed. The best part is that you will never have to worry about that rzr power steering light being on ever again. The Saturn View RZR power steering install is simple and straight forward. You should be able to install in in a few hours using this instructional video. Curious to know, if the Saturn esp is 700 watts how does the stock electrical handle it at 475 watts at 1200 rpm and 630 watts peak? Isn't it a negative draw on the system and more if you add a bunch of lights? How does it not burn up the charging system?
I've been running this system on all of my RZRs with zero issues whatsoever.
i have a 2017 hle it has a random steering wheel shake looks like nothing is bent or broken anywhere could the power steering unit b wrecked?

I just put my 2015 Polaris rzr xc. On its side waaent going to fast got to replace my fenders.. but more importantly my tie rod bent on the driver side of off .. my question is after I replaced that tie rod do I have to get a wheel alignment on it?
You should be able to align the wheel yourself using the tierod.
If its a aftermarket tierod end. Be sure to measure center of the tie rod to the end on the new and old tierods and tierod ends. This way you can adjust for the length difference if there is any.
What is the price of a full kit ?

The DIY does not come with the Electric motor so you have to get one from the junkyard.

What can be done about the EPS light staying on all the time after installing the kit?
nothing really, unplug the bulb?
@@BustedKnuckleVideo so take the cluster Apart and yank it off the board? I have a 2020. Would think it would be an led soldered on
i have same issue have you figured anything out on how to get that light off?
On my sportsman 1000xp powersteering box main power plug the orange wire blade connector looks like it got hot and burnt the connector inside the wiring harness side of the plug. Has anyone else experienced this issue. Why is it doin this.
No idea on that.
At 16:27, you're using a 60A fuse. Seems like the power line should run straight back to the battery. I'm not sure the cables on those batt/gnd/acc stems is heavy enough to pull that kind of current reliably.
Been running it for a year on two machines with zero issues.
What kind of driving on those machines. Desert? Woods trails? Or heavy rock-crawling? Just curious, because the big current pull would only come in real rock crawling, as that's where the stock one shuts down all the time
All of the Above. I raced king of the hammers with one. Never had an issue with this system. It will not shut off like the factory system and is strong enough to hit an obstacle and not jerk the wheel out of your hands.

not sure on that, tho they should be the same
nice....but that non-centered steering wheel would drive me nuts lol
yeah you can fix that, doesn't bother me and it eventually got an aftermarket steering wheel.

The ad just before your video was for a lawfirm stating how dangerous polaris rzr's are and how many recalls and claims polaris has dished out. They said they roll, catch fire and become a death trap lol. That's like an ad before a porn video on the hub, "sex can lead to herpes, aids, clap and pregnancies that will ruin your life"
