You always NEED to fully understand and know what you're signing in all cases, it's even important to get someone trustworthy that's close to you, family or friend to be aware anything you signing when it comes to something big like this. Divorce papers is just as important as buying a house in terms of understanding what you're actually signing for. It's not simply papers for "separation". It's more to divorce than that.
