I get what you're trying to say but how can that baby suffer at 3 months as long as it's fed, and warm. Which I guarantee it will be. Too young to care about anything else. I'm 60 an just permanently retired. I've never rented. I got a union job at 17 bought land and at 21 built my first house . I bought the 50 acres next to it and built another bigger home at age 30. I sold both to my children an built my last one deep in the woods of south Georgia. If a man wants a home there are many ways but you have to get a job and not drink or do drugs. Plain n simple

Landlords meed to have savings just like tenants do. Everyone needs an emergency fund including landlords. Also too many landlords get properties that they could never afford paying the mortgage on, on their own. Being over leveraged is never a good idea

We have struggled in my 10 years of being a wife and mother, BELIEVE ME, we were homeless livinv in abandoned shed and trailers while pregnant with our first baby in 2013-2014. My husband got up and walked me to the park and would walk accross town EVERY.SINGLE.DAY to the daily labor place. We got us off the street 2 weeks before i gave birth. Since then, we have 3 kids now 10,8 and 4. We have a beautiful home and 13 acres of land. My husband has made sure we were NEVER homeless again. We have definitely struggled durinv the last 10 years, went wirhout eating a few nights in a row a couole times. During covid we lost our buisness and lost a lot, but we ALWAYS made sure our rent was paid NO MATTER WHAT.

I had kids as a teen and when I moved to my first apartment my rent and everything was paid and when I couldn’t do it at one point I left to my moms house before I got evicted I paid the last rent and gave my 30day notice that I was leaving so I wouldn’t had eviction in my record and I was young and dumb and I think back now and say for being a kid with kids I was responsible or trying to be
I'm shocked at how fast people can move. I was dreading my move to my new house and all the packing I'd have to do. Imagine my surprise when my brothers called me up one morning and said go get a uhaul they moving me today. I hadn't packed a single thing and they loaded up a 2 story 4 bedroom house and moved it all into my new house and into the new rooms and set up the furniture in 3 hours. Like I can't even recall that day. That's a super power.
I think some smaller moving companies do eviction moving. The eviction movers are fast and efficient, but I don't think they provide the same level of care.
Agreed. I have used several "professional" moving companies over the last 25 years, and I was left with irreparable damage to expensive furniture, appliances and TV's each time. When I move again, I'm going to pack & pad my furniture myself, rent a U-Haul, and hire day laborers to load the truck. If anything is broken, at least I saved money versus paying thousands of dollars to a so-called professional moving company. 💅🏽
How come nobody ever seems to know, they're being evicted ? As a landlord myself. It takes FOREVER to evict a tenant. I usually have to take them to court about half a dozen times. Evictions don't just happen 🤦🥴

Gees you can't stop paying rent because there is a repair that's needed, go to court and ask for escrow to put the money into and that way you can't get evicted.
THIS! Sooo many tenants use that as an excuse to withhold rent. They look for any little excuse to stop paying. How is you stopping someone’s income going to get you any closer to getting repairs done? People don’t get that rent is income for homeowners. And why would a landlord want to do a bunch of work for a tenant who’s withheld rent?! Not a good idea.
It's frustrating tho because I took my landlord to court for withholding my deposit and legally in our lease he stated that the depsoit would go into escrow so when I moved.out and gave him my new address and he end up texting me saying the property manager took off with all his tenants deposits and he couldnt give us back the deposit. So when i took him to court I asked the judge about escrow accounts and the judge I went infront of said that he wasn't worried about escrow accounts and he ordered my landlord to pay me my deposit but said good luck trying to collect it. Which I never did. I thought that money going into escrow was important but the impression i got was it really wasn't a big deal because they didn't hold my landlord liable🤷
So having mold in ur home doesn’t count as repairs that’s health line well in my case it was my health n child health due to landlords not doing there job
Right save the money in an account while waitfor repairs. If you prove to the court that you have the money but waiting for repauthey will set a date for the landlord to fix them
It actually puts the landlord in the same category of responsibility as the tenant if their ability to pay the mortgage of the property they are renting out is contingent on the renters ability to pay the rent. They are taking a huge financial risk being a landlord and probably should just live there and pay the mortgage.
I agree, and maybe the landlord should just sell the property at that point. However It still doesn’t negate the fact that late rent and or costly damages put the landlord at some kind of financial disadvantage in the long run even if you think you’re not in the hole, the landlord ends up paying somehow on the front or back end for poor tenant behavior.

Tip from a landlord: If I have to take you to court for ANY REASON, you will be evicted immediately, regardless of what you pay or owe. Even if the judge finds in your favor, you will be removed at the first available opportunity.

Usually the last court hearing is stated that the landlord has to wait a certain amount of time and if the landlord so chooses or rent hasn’t been paid in full, the tenant has 10 days to make other arrangements. It isn’t said just once either. Tenants just don’t want to hear it!
When we didn't have hot water we heated it, hauled it, and filled the tub. Paid rent every month. Owner finally got a new water heater. And I'm an old lady, hauling big pots of hot water down a set of stairs.

I had kids as a teen and when I moved to my first apartment my rent and everything was paid and when I couldn’t do it at one point I left to my moms house before I got evicted I paid the last rent and gave my 30day notice that I was leaving so I wouldn’t had eviction in my record and I was young and dumb and I think back now and say for being a kid with kids I was responsible or trying to be
Note to self. Call eviction companies when you need movers, they cleaned that house out like the rent was due and it was late 😭

I'm shocked at how fast people can move. I was dreading my move to my new house and all the packing I'd have to do. Imagine my surprise when my brothers called me up one morning and said go get a uhaul they moving me today. I hadn't packed a single thing and they loaded up a 2 story 4 bedroom house and moved it all into my new house and into the new rooms and set up the furniture in 3 hours. Like I can't even recall that day. That's a super power.
I think some smaller moving companies do eviction moving. The eviction movers are fast and efficient, but I don't think they provide the same level of care.
Agreed. I have used several "professional" moving companies over the last 25 years, and I was left with irreparable damage to expensive furniture, appliances and TV's each time. When I move again, I'm going to pack & pad my furniture myself, rent a U-Haul, and hire day laborers to load the truck. If anything is broken, at least I saved money versus paying thousands of dollars to a so-called professional moving company. 💅🏽

How come nobody ever seems to know, they're being evicted ? As a landlord myself. It takes FOREVER to evict a tenant. I usually have to take them to court about half a dozen times. Evictions don't just happen 🤦🥴

Gees you can't stop paying rent because there is a repair that's needed, go to court and ask for escrow to put the money into and that way you can't get evicted.
THIS! Sooo many tenants use that as an excuse to withhold rent. They look for any little excuse to stop paying. How is you stopping someone’s income going to get you any closer to getting repairs done? People don’t get that rent is income for homeowners. And why would a landlord want to do a bunch of work for a tenant who’s withheld rent?! Not a good idea.
It's frustrating tho because I took my landlord to court for withholding my deposit and legally in our lease he stated that the depsoit would go into escrow so when I moved.out and gave him my new address and he end up texting me saying the property manager took off with all his tenants deposits and he couldnt give us back the deposit. So when i took him to court I asked the judge about escrow accounts and the judge I went infront of said that he wasn't worried about escrow accounts and he ordered my landlord to pay me my deposit but said good luck trying to collect it. Which I never did. I thought that money going into escrow was important but the impression i got was it really wasn't a big deal because they didn't hold my landlord liable🤷
So having mold in ur home doesn’t count as repairs that’s health line well in my case it was my health n child health due to landlords not doing there job
Right save the money in an account while waitfor repairs. If you prove to the court that you have the money but waiting for repauthey will set a date for the landlord to fix them

What tenants don’t understand is that when you fall behind on rent for months and months, the landlord falls behind too with their mortgage payments.

It actually puts the landlord in the same category of responsibility as the tenant if their ability to pay the mortgage of the property they are renting out is contingent on the renters ability to pay the rent. They are taking a huge financial risk being a landlord and probably should just live there and pay the mortgage.
I agree, and maybe the landlord should just sell the property at that point. However It still doesn’t negate the fact that late rent and or costly damages put the landlord at some kind of financial disadvantage in the long run even if you think you’re not in the hole, the landlord ends up paying somehow on the front or back end for poor tenant behavior.

Tip from a landlord: If I have to take you to court for ANY REASON, you will be evicted immediately, regardless of what you pay or owe. Even if the judge finds in your favor, you will be removed at the first available opportunity.

Usually the last court hearing is stated that the landlord has to wait a certain amount of time and if the landlord so chooses or rent hasn’t been paid in full, the tenant has 10 days to make other arrangements. It isn’t said just once either. Tenants just don’t want to hear it!

When we didn't have hot water we heated it, hauled it, and filled the tub. Paid rent every month. Owner finally got a new water heater. And I'm an old lady, hauling big pots of hot water down a set of stairs.

Being a child where my mother got evicted from every single apartment we lived in growing up it’s traumatizing on that day…I don’t interact much wit her since the last eviction over 22 years ago…she wouldn’t let me retrieve the few belongings I did have that meant the world to me…my material grandmothers ashes n the man I loved like a fathers ashes…she chose to keep the eviction a secret somewhat in her mind from us kids n sent us off to school like a normal day…came back to what I knew as my life gone…
