Life saver! I wasnt bout to make someone pay $30 bucks for this thing as I knew I could make it myself. But yoy saved me the trouble of drafting a pattern as well. You the real mvp. Thank you!
My boppy turned out beautifully cool! Thanks for sharing your easy-to-follow video instructions and pattern. My pillow is for my reborn baby doll, and it will work as a hair rooting pillow as well!
Thank you so much! I have a granddaughter and great granddaughter coming this summer. Awesome tutorial. Again thanks for sharing I was going to try and draw out my own but you saved me such a headache when I found your tutorial.
thank you, i just finished making mine and i didnt realize its quite big hahahha but so happy and thanks for the pattern too... mine turns out great...great tutorial..
I love your video. I have the hardest time finding patterns when it says to download.. I went straight to yours and whala,,,,,, it was there to print. Thank you so much for sharing. I have a grandbaby due in June :)
Thanks for the pattern, however I made this pillow yesterday and it doesn't fit me around the waist :(, does it come in different sizes? Greetings from the Netherlands
You put the pillow around your waist, and the baby lies on top. It puts the baby higher, in the perfect position for a cradle hold or football hold for nursing. It reduces strain on your back and arms because it supports the baby. You can also use it to be more comfortable while bottle feeding, or to prop the baby up slightly if he has a tummy ache or acid reflux. However, baby should not be allowed to sleep on this or any other pillow :)
I did it and love it!!!! However, I needed double the amount of stuffing!? Did I do something wrong? Thanks for ur awesome baby sewing posts, please make more ;)
FYI 2/3 yard of material is only for 1/2 the pillow form if your using 42-45 wide fabric. I have to return to the store to buy more fabric 2/3 yd was not enough. Please add some footnotes to reflect this
Ginmars1 Yes, it would have been nice to know that 2/3 wasn’t enough for the entire pillow. Usually when you tell people what they need for the project you give them the total amount of fabric instead of HALF of it. Back to the fabric store I go. I bet much appreciate the free pattern, but......😡
I really liked the pattern for this pillow. The problem is there are no written directions included. It was easy and fun to sew. I used my surger so didn't need to cut seams for turns.
I'm not sure i understand what this pillow is used for. You mention it's for feeding, but I'm not sure how that's supposed to work. I've never seen these kinds of pillows anywhere so if it's handy I might make it.
You didn't show how to put the zipper in the pillowcase, which is the part i always have trouble with, other than that it was a good job. Maybe another one will do that. Thank you so much.
How much bigger is the slip cover pattern than the pillow pattern? Can I use the pillow pattern as a cover and sew it on 1/4 of an inch instead of 1/2 an inch like pillow?
You wrap it around your waist and rest your arms on it while you're holding the baby when breast feeding or giving a bottle. It's nice because then you have something to support your arms so they don't get tired.
I saw that after I bought the fabric, lol. Anyhow, I made both the pillow and the cover and your instructions are wonderful! I no longer have a fear of zippers!
