- Quick and easy production line sewing for these perfect baby burp cloths. Pattern included, can be found at wp.me/p2WfGc-2SY
Mom approved!
This burp cloth pattern is just perfect, or so my friends tell me. Its quick and easy to sew and 3 fit perfectly onto a fat quarter of fabric. These cloths have lots of uses for newborns, babies and toddlers and with this pattern and quick sewing method you can make up a big bundle of them for the mom-to-be.
Great baby shower gifts too. Make them in cutesy baby prints or something a bit more sophisticated for the stylish mom.
Sewing all 3 before cutting anything is brilliant!
Love the pattern
You're a life saver! I have a friend that's having twins, and now I can give her a beautiful handmade gift in no time!
I love the way you laid them out and cut them...cool
I use my lingerie bag to wash my fat quarters in. Works great. I also use a pillowcase(tied at top) to wash my larger fabrics. No tangles. Love this pattern!
Thank you for your video on how to make these so easy!
Amazing !! Brilliant !!
Debbie you are a genius !!
Smart! Sew first then cut.
Thank you so much for the pattern. I sew to donate to women & children centers in need. This helps greatly on making multiples quickly. Bless you for you talent & kindness. ❤
Perfect project for a new baby and momma! Thanks so much for sharing this video project. I love how three can be made at one time!
Thank you for this video, this make it so easy for production, love your instructions, simple & easy to understand.
Brilliant! I've seen so many patterns for burp cloths but to sew them all at once...!!! Perfect for my nephew to be!
I just finish making 6 burp clothes for my daughter's new daughter. Super easy and super fast. Thank you for this great pattern.
Loved the line production style idea. Thank you
I love this idea of making these in quick fashion, and yet they look so cute when you finished. These look so easy to do up. I'm going to make some tomorrow. Thanks. Great tutorial.
Agree with Karen Mitchell, excellent having 3 together and so helpful tutorial. Thank you
OMG, so easy and SO fast to pop these out. I've taken way too long when making individual burp clothes.
THANKS FOR THIS 👍VIDEO!
This is one of the best patterns and the best tutorial!!! Thank you so much!!
Great idea to get three done quickly.
I'll have my first Great-GrandAngel in May, I plan on making a boat load of these. Thank you very much.

Amazing Project 👏👏👏🧵🧵
Hi, Deby! I made these up for my caregiver's daughter who just had a baby. They were so quick and easy. Great fast pattern. Your instructions were so clear and easy to follow. I'm not a seasoned sewer at all so these kind of patterns are right up my alley!! I also did the bib pattern. Thank you so much. Love your site.
Charlie Haraldson That's wonderful Charlie, glad you had success with it.
i am going to try this soon. i have twin grands coming in march and this would be great being that its double everything :)
thank you for the pattern, the mother enjoyed them.
I have seen rectangles, however this shape is just more logical
Is it weird that I love the sound the scissors make as they cut thru the fabric? Brilliant idea doing 3 at once
You should search fabric cutting asmr! You would probably love it.
Love this
Thank you so much 😊
thank you!
I haven't see this before. Love the idea. Thanks
Thank you
Needed this! What settings worked for you on your sewing machine for that type of fabric? Thanks!
Very cool! Thank you.
I love this video
Hi Deby, I love your videos! This one is especially great because there is practically no waste (I hate wasting my gorgeous fabrics). I've already made some for my grandson and they are really useful. I think that this idea could work well for coasters as well. Have you thought of making a video using this technique for coasters or mug rugs? I'd love it if you would.
Thank you. I'm going to make a few tomorrow.
Genius!!!
Hello :) Great tutorial! Simple and easy to follow! Question; what type of material did you use on the top (printed) material?
Do you think this would work if I used a surger around the edges instead?
Do you have the pattern that I could print out, thanks Jane
were did u get the towel fabric at
Super cool.
Genius!
Love this idea! I am a bit confused on the channel tho. Why are some of the videos w/you and others come up with someone else?
So I went to the link indicated above, signed up for the newsletter, dowloaded the pattern but there doesn't seem to be a template included with the pattern. What am I missing? Help! Many thanks.
Hi, Deby! Thank you for this pattern! It looks perfect! One question, from a novice at the sewing machine: would it be a good idea to wash the fabrics before using them?
+Ruth Gaynor I think it would depend on your pieces. If using smaller pieces like fat quarters those can be really hard to launder before hand because they are get very frayed and messy and you can lose a lot of the fabric. Larger pieces like full yardage, yes I would perhaps wash first. It also depends on the materials you use, some will shrink up a lot more than others. So really the answer is, it depends!
Did you wash your fabrics first?
I was looking up Mother’s Day diys...
what size is the finished product?
Genius
Would someone be willing to measure length on their downloaded pattern please?
Hello. Finally had tto to try these out and ran into a problem on my machine. I'll post in facebook group shortly
Found out a chopstick is good for getting into the corners.
Sandie Cook or if you don’t have one then use a pencil
I really enjoy your videos. I would love to make some for my friend. The link isn't working though.
Hi Tanisha - The video has just gone live this evening ready for the pattern and the post to be live on the site in the morning. If you can click back again at 6am on the 1st Sept, the post will be live then.
Hi there! Loving this demonstration. However, there is no pattern for this using the link you have for us to printout.
Hi Toni. If you to to my article, follow the link above, at the very bottom of the post is a bright orange box and inside the box an orange button which says pattern download. If you click there, that's where you'll be able to download the pattern. Let me know if you can't find it.
I can see my snips, did I make them too big?
Hi, the link isn't working and I can't find the pattern on your site. Can you repost the link?
You are all so enthusiastic! The video has just gone live this evening ready for the pattern and the post to be live on the site in the morning. Sorry to disappoint, if you can click back again at 6am, the post will be live then.
Hi, Mayra and Deby, I'd love - LOVE - a video tutorial on the baby changing mat...because I need to make one before September! Any chance of that coming along before then? :-)
HI Laurie, I will gather some time and supplies and try my best to make it. Is it for you?
Hi, I would appreciate that so much. it's for some young friends who are expecting a baby against all...well, expectations! I've made tons of these burp cloths (so great; and it was THAT video tutorial that inspired me to create a sewing nook in my little house and get back into sewing after 25-30 years), but I find my confidence waning when it comes to the triple threat of bias tape, vinyl (I've just ordered some laminated cotton - I'll see if I think it'll work), and hook and loop fastener.
Would someone be able to provide the actual measurement of each burp cloth? Thanks!
Hi, Kim, if you've downloaded the pattern, the burp cloths are slightly smaller than the pattern. Figure about 1 cm or so smaller all the way around.
Kim Song If you need to know more information - just take a look at her pattern shape. Then take a paper bag and draw what looks like the design and fit it to your own shoulder. That way you can make it as large or as small as you desire. She does need to give measurements on her videos.

The link did not take me to the free pattern but to a gaming site instead.
I can never find the patterns on these sites, where's the link??
Try this: so-sew-easy.com/l/burpcloths ...... or google So Sew Easy burp cloth pattern ...... hope you find the pattern :)
