Started my journey with Data Analytics today after finding out what is what through a tiktok. I’ve been a copywriter for quite some years, got laid off, and got unrelated another job. I majored in TV-Prod, but I was always pulled to Marketing. I decided today that I’m going to be a Marketing Data Analyst since I have SEO and content creation knowledge, it should be interesting. I started the Google Cert today. I will update you guys for sure! I feel 2025 is going to be a positive change. Good luck to everyone here!
After watching so many videos, I felt completely clueless. Just came across your video all I want to say is thank you for creating a straightforward roadmap for beginners who are struggling. God bless you.
Great video. I'm in academia and relatively proficient at R for basic data analysis, but I want to take my skills to the next level. This video helped point me in the right direction! Making your own website and posting projects on there is a great idea. Cheers mate
For statistics, understand basic concepts like probability, experimentation, Central tendency and distribution of data, hypothesis testing and progression
I am starting my journey of a data analyst. As of now I am learning Data Science using Python and Tableau. I plan to complete it and increase my understanding overtime. Ask me where I am in Aug 2024. I plan to build two personal projects either in insurance domain or Healthcare. Keep Liking so that I can stay on track
wow. i've watched a lot of videos breaking down roadmaps on how to become a data analyst and this one is honestly one of the best ones (if not THE best). it is concise, assertive and easy to understand. i've been struggling with charting a career transition path to data (i have a degree in international relations and spent 6-7 years in jobs focused on business administration and business analysis) and i am very confident that the structure presented in the video will help me achieve this transition. my prior concern is searching for jobs and networking cause i feel like i don't really know how to do that, but anyways i would love to connect with people that are experiencing the same as me and hope to come back here in 3-4 months with new skills and projects :) best of luck to all!
I won’t lie but this is really a great video related to data analyst. The way you break it all down, it’s so perfect. I’ve watched like 100s of videos , but trust me this is gonna be my last one. Absolutely perfect.
Going to start the google data analyst cert today, been struggling to find a career to stop and work towards and found this vey helpful. Not like you meant it literally but just going to commit to this for 3 months and see what happens wish me luck!
This is so concise and understandable for a total beginner. Thank you I know exactly where I need to start now! Trying to get out of the grind of call centers
This is helpful, thanks! I recently started my journey to becoming a Data Analyst but started out with SQL. I almost gave up! haha! It definitely makes sense to start with the basics of Statistics and Excel.
You cannot believe how much this video is useful for a guy who is stuck between a lot of confusion to start a career as a data analyst. Thank you so much 😊
I am currently a college student with no degree or professional experience and I just started the Google Data Analytics Certificate on Coursera. I'm leaving this comment to mark the beginning of my journey towards becoming a Data Analyst. I'm locking in and committing to this. I'll provide updates on how it's going every now and then. Wish me luck.
Don't waste your time, that certificate is just a cherry on the whole cake. we are looking for proof of experience start on working on some projects that way you can learn hands on
This is such a strong video, fantastic primer and explaination as to why you need to do what to do. I've been intimidated by financial data as part of the analyst pathway, but knowing that there are resources to train on and to apply statistical knowledge is a relief, rather than doing so on the job. Thank you so much for your video!
This is quite informative for a foundation to learning data analysis. Thanks Rohan. I am looking forward to using the step by step tools you have shared. Great job!
I'm a senior high school math teacher and I've been planning to study Data Analytics. Your video is very informative, straightforward and makes me want to start the learning journey now. Thank you so much!
I got what i was looking for to start my career as in - Real estate data analytic or into business analytics opportunity. After encountering so many fake videos on you-tube and shortcuts, finally i got the clear road map in 12min, Why, What and How ! Thanks for this amazing video. I'm going to start from now.
Thanks for your insights! I appreciate the frankness of your advice about what most likely will or won't work and what skills to prioritize. Data is definitely the new gold, and so is this content!
Started my progress earlier this year and seeing the advice laid out gave me a sense certainty that I am on the right development. The core materials to study here are key components I have found most helpful in my progress. Looking to consolidate my gains in 2025 to shift to a new career of data science.
I can't say how much this video helped me. In a world so confusing for me, with a lot of information, you present a perfect route through hard work and self-reflection. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for an informative video. I come from a finance background and starting my learning journey today to a become data analyst. I really hope it works out. I need a job. All the best to all of us!
So I just want to share my data science story... In my sixth semester of btech I started data analytics and after two-three months I had the concepts and statistics cleared and made a few projects and then got bored so I started ML I was learning ML and then my college placements started and in the start of my seventh semester I got placed in PWC with my data science resume .So am gonna start my intern from 22nd Jan but in today's online meeting we were told that our background doesn't matter and we all will have to learn WEB DEV .💀💀💀 Edit:-I am learning springboot but there are many teams some work on python some on power tools etc.. Thank you for this straightforward and useful video. I am desperately trying to upskill myself for a better job. Stumbled on to a very beginner kind of Data Analysis due to my current job in Academia research. Now working on to gain the technical skillset to turn it into a full fleged career. I am completely new to this career field and also do not have an IT background. Now I will follow your roadmap to achieve my goal. Thanks once again.
Just watched this video to help with a University careers essay focusing on data analysis. This was THE MOST helpful thing I found! It was so easy to follow and helped me gain some insights on what is best to study if I were to enter this field. Thank you so much!!
I'm beginning my data analysis plan in order to change careers. I've been a pharmacy technician for seven years, and I'm 43. It's time to move on to something more exciting and perhaps better.
Hi, i am 43 years too and i want to change my career to a more exiting, challenging and sustainable career. I have thought through about it and data analytics was my choice. My age was somehow an issue to me but am happy to learn that i have someone to walk the journey together 👊🤜👍
Hey! Great video!! This clear all key points. I will say that getting a job in 3 months might statically wont be realistic on average if you’re staying from scratch, I will say focus on a business, look up what they demand and apply tools + statistics + probability + domain knowledge + soft skills, weekly on practice, projects to land that job within 0-12 months in a probability way. (No absolutely happens for everyone)
Bro! Great video, going to start this career transition with the Google Cert and Stanford Intro to Stat course! And will for sure go back to this video from time to time to track progress and keep pushing in the right direction. Look forward to using the technical skills to build my portfolio and network
Thanks for the video Rohan! They're opening up a Data Analyst position within my department for medical devices and I'm really looking to break into the profession. I'll revisit this video and comment to let you know how it all goes.
Excellent video. You just saved me a ton of time. I just decided to make a career pivot into data analytics and this video was so informative. I really appreciate it.
This video is absolutely great, still has roadmap, experience, domain knowledge, tools and skill soft and some source we can learn. This is the Last video I watch about DA. I can start now
These frequent camera cuts make me feel so nauseous. Please cut down on them because you make really good content, but they are borderline unwatchable for those who are averse to this amount of camera movement.

Hi Rohan--thanks for this video! I've been considering a career pivot into data analytics and already have an informational interview setup with someone from my company. I appreciate your insights and resources!
I like the two camera dynamic but i think you can stop turning your head to the other camera and just stay looking forward (as it continues changing the camera), i think that way is more fluid and less chaotic haha.
