The switch family is already having such an effect. Switches are popular among child, student and parent, male and female, and everyone knows what they are. ValvE took it a step further and released a higher-performance, 100%-handheld console that can run any Steam game that supports Linux, proving just how powerful a modern handheld can be. The Xbox may have a far-reaching discless game subscription, but I think that long term, if Nintendo is the console gaming industry’s Apple and Valve is its Samsung, that would make Xbox the new Blackberry if MS doesn’t make a handheld Xbox model.
You've hit the nail on the head there, and I couldn't agree more with your analogies. So, what's your take on Sony's position in the console scene? For me, the PS5 is the first Sony console I haven't bought because I don't see a need for one, especially considering their games are coming out on PC now. Nintendo is, in my opinion, the only console worth buying. And as for Xbox, while Game Pass is great, and I'm currently enjoying Starfield, they really need to start innovating and come up with a fresh plan.
Considering how much Nintendo hates their fans, as evidenced by the way they treated content creators in the past, I can totally see them going down that road. Fun video by the way, loved the humor in this one.

Nintendo is poised to become the Disney and Apple of this era. It wouldn't be surprising if they aimed to make the Switch an evergreen console of sorts, given they've struck gold, why stop mining? they'll definitely prioritize profit over innovation after a certain point if this happens and I can definitely see them milking these units to hell and back.
it's a bit scary to think about, isn't it? 🤔 I can't help but wonder what Nintendo will be like in 10 or 20 years. They're venturing into movies that could really give Disney a run for their money, and their handheld devices continue to dominate the market ~ I can totally see them becoming both the heroes and the villains in the gaming world
@@removedm i mean, if they still make good games i would still see them as heroes even if they don't innovate much, like we've been almost 40 years with the same concept of home console since atari 2600 and i don't see anyone complaining

If this upcoming system they're developing is another iteration of a switch, it's clear that they're headed down the iBrick road towards Steve Jobs' iCity. The "switch" has become the new "i," it's over 🍏
Nintendo first would need to get all developers on board because of legal contracts and obligations. The later would have to say no to re-selling the games for a new system if it is switch 2, and not switch upgrade....
