i sung this song twice in public to my wife the first time was when we got married 33 years ago and last year when i lost her to illness i sung it at her funeral this song meant so much to me and my wife lost my lover best friend and sole companion just hard times now
OMG, I'm 49 and this song Made me want to find my lady and I when I did I loved her completely, sadly she passed away and I have been single for 17 years. Since Kenny's passing I have started to believe in loving again. i think this is the greatest love song ever written.
Mark T.... I saw an interview with Kenny and he told the interviewer that he didn't consider himself a good singer but he did feel that he was a good story teller.
actually. lionel ritchie wrote the song specially for kenny, and there is an interesting story behind it. most of the song was written during the recording session. while lionel was in the bathroom. when he initially presented the song to kenny, all he had was a good pitch story and the words lady, da da da da, da da, da da da.
Many tried singing their version but no one sang it like Kenny did. After all it was written for Kenny and only Kenny can do justice to this song. Every words every emotion and the intimacy we all can feel.... 🥰❤️😘🌹 rip beautiful man.❤️
Kenny Rogers was wonderful, when my son was little, I would put one of his records on the player and my son would hold his arms up to me and say momma dance and I would pick him up and we would dance to Kenny Rogers music
Basil I sad the same thing. This song gives me chills and tears at the same time. So beautiful, so emotional. Find someone who talks to you like Kenny Rogers does in this song.
I can't hold back... That was the CUTEST most genuine review and watching experience I've ever seen!!.. I'm sure a Lot of your viewers would agree with me.. so glad you liked it!!
Ironically, you expressed how this sort of music can make people feel better than a lot of folk whose first language is english - it does indeed enter your body and make you feel emotional. This was a great reaction.
One of the best songs of all time. What makes it great, especially live, is that Kenny is able to sing it with such feeling and you could just see the audience melting. I loved that you could tell it was touching to FenchTastic also. Powerful song.
I'm so glad young women, like yourself, are discovering these classics. I could tell you were mesmerized during the video. It's such a beautiful song and when he died recently I played this all day to honor him. Really good video.
"It was like he was not even trying." EXACTLY! That was a part of Kenny's appeal and talent. He looks so steady, and then all of these emotions come out of his voice. Well done ♥️
You are so right pretty lady. Mr. Kenny Rodgers is very emotional and touching and is singing from the heart. I thank you so very much for playing this very beautiful song. Have a Good day Love. God bless you. Adios.
I had a very brief encounter with Kenny years ago. He was in Pittsburgh for a concert and was staying at the William Penn Hotel. I was walking thru the lobby, when Kenny and his crew walked by. I said hello to him and he greeted me back. A small moment, but it has stayed with me.
One of the best! Can’t believe he’s gone. This is one of the best love songs out there. And nobody did it like Kenny! And what a sweet story about your dad and mom. ❤️
Wow! Another great "Reaction" of an American classic song by my favorite French young lady. You are sounding more and more like one of Americas daughters. Thank you
For some reason that I can’t explain, I rediscovered this song on UA-cam after not hearing it for a very long time, maybe 10 years or more and I just couldn’t stop listening to it, my husband and I have been married 34 years and it reminded me of when we were younger. Then suddenly I found out he passed away and the day he died I just cried and cried, so emotional, just like you said. Thank you for honoring him.
He's also been in more than a few movies, just in case you want to check any out. He was just an amazingly decent and kind human being all around, and what a voice! Great reaction, thanks!
Songs from the past were more like a personal conversation or declaration you'd have with that special someone. A 80s mixtape of love songs was always a tool for us guy's if we couldn't express them to our LADY.
Again, this was our music a long time ago. It makes me smile to see and hear your amusement with hearing these tunes for the first time. I was born in Germany and my first experience with music was the songs my family would sing at home. In America we would call them 'Folk Songs". My first encounter with live music was when my step-father took me to the Enlisted Men's Club where he was the manager. That evening it was Open Mic night and anyone could sing for the audience. At one point he introduced another GI, but I have no idea what he said because I spoke no English. The soldier sang and the place went wild. When he was done, my step-father brought him to our table and introduced him to me. "This is Elvis Presley, my boy." I was not impresses until many years later when I went to Amerika and when I told that story, people were interested. One day I told my OMA (grandmother) in German: "Oma, you know I think that music is not my life, but my life is music'. I do not have a good voice for singing but I can listen and know great music. I will go through my collection and come up with one of my favorite artists and songs and maybe it will be something new for you. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Hey Marie, how are you? I like your reactions on these songs You don’t get super emotional about it but i can tell it touches you and gets you in the heart and that’s beautiful to see as you discover these old classics for the first time I’m 53 and you’re a beautiful young lady and thanks for sharing Marie take care and enjoyed watching you here 😊👍🤗
Beautiful reaction to this amazing song! You can feel the sincerity in your reactions. I also like that you react to the music of the 50's, 60's and 70's. It was a wonderful time for music. I lived in Las Vegas for many years. The first time I heard Kenny Rogers he was with The First Edition. In the mid 70's he branched out on a solo career. When he first left the First Edition, he was pretty well known. I used to go down to the Golden Nugget and for the price of a coke and a tip, I saw him perform many times as a lounge act. His singing was just effortless! I saw many other lounge acts too, but his performances were always the best. He made you feel like he was singing just to you. Keep up the good work. Love your reactions!
Great point with older music. Not just music, not just singing, its the the feeling behind the singer. Like he had someone special he was singing that too
I’m a new fan of yours but I’ve adored Kenny nearly all my life. It still hurts that he’s gone. Thank you for showing this! And, by the way, your English is perfectly fine! Please keep up this wonderful work! 👍
I love watching different women of all ages listen to this and ALL of us just absolutely MELT over it. The way he sings it, the words (thank you Lionel) it's one of the greatest love songs and he sings it perfectly. : )
A great song written by the great Lionel Richie. This has been covered by many people, but nobody can sing it as well as the late Kenny Rogers. Kenny will be missed, but never forgotten.
Kenny Rogers was really good at expressing emotions in songs. His duet partner, Dolly Parton still talks about the times they shared in music, live and in the studio. Look up songs like "Islands in the stream".
They were quite a pair! "Islands in the Stream" is a good song, but it's been played to death. Their most touching duet was the last one -- "You Can't Make Old Friends" ( ua-cam.com/video/chBNBzE35EI/v-deo.html ) The song was very personal -- Kenny's professional farewell to Dolly at the time (2013) he retired from performing.
Saw Kenny perform this one. At that time his wife had given birth recently so he displayed pictures of her and child while he sang it. Loved all of his songs, The Gambler is a great one.
He was truly amazing! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Watching you explore these artists is a true joy. It's as if I'm watching my grandson learn something new. I'm not saying you're childish you just have so much excitement as if you have learned something new like riding a bike or reading.
Love hearing you share about your Dad. You seem so honest and nice. Like a breath of fresh air! I just discovered your channel because I saw you reacted to Willie Nelson, my favorite. I will subscribe to your channel now.
Lionel Richie wrote this for Kenny . They were at an awards night and Kenny introduced his wife as my Lady . Lionel went to the washroom then came back out and told Kenny I think I have a song you might want sing . Kenny asked the name of the song and Lionel said LADY
Thank you for sharing the story about your parents. It sounds like your father, was, is, and always will be madly in love with your mother. I hope you shared this song with him because it seems that your mother is the love of his, she’s his lady. Also, share this with your boyfriend and tell him to pay attention. 😂
First time when I hear this song with a reactions to it! You are so cute and this song showed how lovely YOU can be when you let your feelings out! ❤❤❤
Yes you’re saying the word right charismatic. I’m laying in bed at 1:50 in the morning watching this. Hello from the desert in Phoenix Arizona. What a great song he was a great singer. It’s so sad he’s gone now. As much as I love this song I found myself looking at you and your reaction. You’re a very pretty lady. Thanks for the great video
Saw him in concert in the early 90s - so good. His voice is amazing, and his performance of Lady was the highlight of the show. And Kenny has a lot of great songs.
I never really liked or listened to his music ‘back in the day’ BUT listening to this older Kenny Rogers singing this particular song at this venue just ‘blew’ me away. I was on the verge of tears. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SINGING VOICE! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💕😀
Greetings from Greece! Yes, Kenny Rogers was indeed a very charismatic singer. I was a teenager when the song came out and I can remember all the emotion when we heard this song on the radio or in live performances. You should not consider yourself a late-arrival for finding out about a certain song or artist now, nor should you apologize for it. It's commendable that you have explored Kenny Roger's music and it's very heart-warming to see younger generations being moved by such timeless artists. Take care!
This is the first time to see your reaction. I will be subscribing, music brings people together. Kenny always had an amazing way of making you feel what he was singing.
i sung this song twice in public to my wife the first time was when we got married 33 years ago and last year when i lost her to illness i sung it at her funeral this song meant so much to me and my wife lost my lover best friend and sole companion just hard times now
first time watching your channel.. watching your reaction to him sing☝️ is the reaction I think most women felt when they heard it for their first time.. I Absolutely love this song and always have (Lady) and yes Kenny Rodgers & Lionel Richie they do sound amazing as a duet.. Kenny wrote the 1st verse and Lionel wrote the 2nd verse. Lionel Richie pitched the song to The Commodores and turned him down. Then when Kenny Rogers heard the Beat to the song, he called Lionel Richie to ask him to write him a song. Lionel told him sorry Kenny i don't have the time! Ben Kenny told him Lionel it's going to be on my greatest hits album, and will probably sell 4- 5 million records.. Lionel says how does 7pm tomorrow sound..Lol 😄 that's really cool because they were best friends in real life off stage also..RIP Kenny Rogers.. 👍💯
Thank you once again for your reaction video. Kenny Rogers is great there are a lot of country stars that have emotional songs. There are also a lot of R&B from the 70 and 80 that do. You also said the charismatic better then most people I know.
Yeah, great point. But they wrote it together. Lionel wrote the tune and had the first word "LADY". This video tells the story... ua-cam.com/video/WI2CvL6UYvE/v-deo.html ... then Kenny and Lionel sing it together. Kenny is much older in this video. Must be the year 201_? Marie should really check out this video on her own as well.
My sweet lil one I love to watch the wonder in your face when you discover a new artist. I love your sweet honest reactions your so special. Keep being you
How words can be so powerful .... I love these women reaction how they just buckle to the mere words of what women want to hear from their lover friend but never get to hear them sadly
My favorite Kenny Roger’s song is “Rubin James”. I still remember riding with my parents in the car and Dad putting Kenny Rogers Greatest hits in the 8-track player.
I sang this to my wife at our wedding and now 21 yrs later, she is still my Lady!
Aww 🥰🥰 how sweet are you
Ive been learning it for that reason, whoever I end up with is gonna get their heart melted. I'm not half bad of a singer
Great song for a perfect lady. Congratulations
i sung this song twice in public to my wife the first time was when we got married 33 years ago and last year when i lost her to illness i sung it at her funeral this song meant so much to me and my wife lost my lover best friend and sole companion just hard times now
He is singing this beautiful song about you beautiful French Lady 👩 😍 ❤ 💕 💗 💖
Kenny is such a beautiful soul.
After 2 years, still the best reaction ❤ Still the most adorable girl ever ❤❤❤
You're absolutely right. Songs back in the day were able to touch you in a way that modern music can't.
this version still gives me chills. Lionel could write a good song, and Kenny could sing them..
Another great reaction, from a Beautiful Lady, inside, and out. 👍😄
OMG, I'm 49 and this song Made me want to find my lady and I when I did I loved her completely, sadly she passed away and I have been single for 17 years. Since Kenny's passing I have started to believe in loving again. i think this is the greatest love song ever written.
His voice still gives me goosebumps after all these years.... decades LOL. RIP Kenny
Kenny Rogers is also a gifted story teller. Listen to "The Gambler" and "Coward of the County" for his story telling songs.
YES to both! LOVE those songs! :)
The song "The Greatest" and "The Last Ten Years" and " Buy Me A Rose" are all great story songs.
Mark T.... I saw an interview with Kenny and he told the interviewer that he didn't consider himself a good singer but he did feel that he was a good story teller.
I second this! Also "You Decorated My Life" and "Lucille"
actually. lionel ritchie wrote the song specially for kenny, and there is an interesting story behind it. most of the song was written during the recording session. while lionel was in the bathroom. when he initially presented the song to kenny, all he had was a good pitch story and the words lady, da da da da, da da, da da da.

You make me cry , this is a poem written by Lionel Richie and in the voice of Kenny ...omg. No words.

He's a natural. Kenny Rogers is as legit as it gets. Beautiful talent x 10.
So much power and emotion in his delivery. Women fall in love with Kenny and this song...
And now you know why so many wanted you to watch and listen to this love song. Moving!!!!!!!

With Kenny Rogers singing style, and his voice. This song was PERFECT for him.

Written by the great singer/songwriter Lionel Ritchie... and sung masterfully and beautifully by the late great Kenny Rogers.
And here is my beloved Marie, ❤️, with such amazing pigtails😍❤️
I had a very brief encounter with Kenny years ago. He was in Pittsburgh for a concert and was staying at the William Penn Hotel.
I was walking thru the lobby, when Kenny and his crew walked by. I said hello to him and he greeted me back.
A small moment, but it has stayed with me.
This song looks like it really hits home with you
Charismatic!! Perfect word! Keep up the great reactions! We love you FrenchTastic!

Kenny Rogers had a voice that will never be forgotten or repeated ever Thanks for your beautiful music
R.I.P Kenny Rogers
He sings effortlessly, awesome!
You should really check out his duet with Dolly Parton called Islands in the Stream.
Written by Barry Gibb
I was going to say the same thing
she came up with that song in the tub....

One of the most beautiful love songs ever written. The writer is Lionel Richie from the band The Commodores.
This song was written by Lionel Richie for Kenny Rodgers.
Kenny also wrote songs for Lionel.
Rogers,NOT Rodgers.

Hey lady, you are expressing yourself beautifully!
A fantastic performance of a Lionel Richie song! They both had a hit with this song but Kenny's version was HUGE! Nice job, my dear.
Yeah, great point. But they wrote it together. Lionel wrote the tune and had the first word "LADY". This video tells the story...
